Arrival terminal at Vnukovo for international flights. Vnukovo airport: how to get there, parking and terminals

Vnukovo Airport is the oldest in Moscow. It consists of three main terminals, which are designated by the letters A, B, D. Answering the question how many terminals in Vnukovo, in addition to these three, it is also necessary to mention the government terminal (Vnukovo-2) and the complex for VIP-clients (Vnukovo-3) ... These buildings are located separately from the three main ones. But they are not far away. In addition, it is quite easy to find these complexes, since there are special signs along the road from the terminals.

Terminal A is the largest. It serves about 80% of the entire flow. Previously, only domestic flights within the country were carried out here, but over the past 3 years, passengers of international flights are also served here. Terminal B handles approximately 18% of the passenger flow. Mainly served here charter flights various international destinations, as well as flights to Asia and low cost flights. Terminal D was built in the 80s. However, despite the fact that not so long ago it was reconstructed, now it practically does not serve passengers. It is used today exclusively for the arrival of domestic flights. It should be noted that the plan of Vnukovo airport is designed in such a way that you can leave Terminal D only through building B. All these buildings are located in one line.

The so-called special terminal, a free-standing complex Vnukovo-2, is designed to serve government officials. It is located near the main three terminals, to the south. There is another complex in the western part. This is the VIP lounge of Vnukovo-3 airport. This building is dedicated to business flights.

Terminal A

This complex consists of three floors, thanks to which it is possible to separate several flows of passengers who arrive or depart at once. On the -1 level there is a transition to the Aeroexpress station. There are also lockers and numerous UTair self check-in counters.

Below is the arrivals area, where customs control is carried out and baggage is issued. There is a waiting room for those who meet passengers. You can buy souvenirs on this floor. There are cafes, check-in counters, ATMs and cash desks of various airlines.
From the overpass you can get directly to the second floor of this terminal. There is no need to pay to enter the overpass. On the second floor, security control is carried out, oversized baggage is checked out. There is an information desk and airline ticket offices. On the second floor there is a specially designated sterile area from which you can board. Also on this level there are cafes, shops with souvenirs and other goods, ATMs. There is a DVD cinema on the second floor.

To make it easier for passengers to navigate at this level of the terminal, the Vnukovo airport map will be very useful in this case. Briefly for better orientation:

  • In the departure area in the left corner there is a disabled service counter and a children's room.
  • Public toilets are located on the right side of the departure area.
  • There is a cafe in the right corner.
  • Boarding for "home" flights is on the left side of the building.
  • Boarding for international flights takes place on the right side of the terminal.

The third floor is for waiting flights. There is a cafe here. There is also a business lounge on the third level. To get here, you need to go up to the upper, that is, the 3rd floor, you do not need to go through passport and customs control.

For the convenience of moving around the terminal, there are elevators, escalators, travelators. There are special lifts for the disabled and ramps. All floors have Wi-Fi.

Terminal B

This terminal serves most international charter flights as well as scheduled flights. In the future, it is planned to transfer all regular flights to the first terminal (A). Therefore, it is likely that soon Terminal B will serve only charter flights. This building has two floors.

On the ground floor, you need to check in, check in your luggage. There is an arrivals hall, cafes, ticket offices, which sell not only air, but also railway tickets. Also on the ground floor there are special counters, with the help of which you can book rooms in hotels and order a taxi. There is also Wi-Fi here.
The second floor is used to carry out the procedure for controlling passengers and checking them hand luggage... Here are the boarding gates. On the floor above, there is a lounge for passengers who bought tickets for business class. In addition, there are special check-in counters for passengers who fly without luggage.

Terminal D

This terminal is practically not used anymore. Departures from here are not carried out. The terminal does not have its own exit. The only thing it is still used for is arriving from North Caucasus... This is due to the increased requirements of the special services. It is expected that this terminal will soon be completely closed. The building itself is planned to be demolished.

Passenger check-in at this terminal ends 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. And registration begins at least 2 hours before departure. This time is set individually for each airline. In order to save time, passengers are advised to check in online, because when only 40 minutes are left before departure, the staff who work at the counters will no longer be able to check in passengers. After registration, you need to go to the second floor to go through all the necessary clearance procedures (including customs control). Boarding ends twenty minutes before departure.

VIP room

This is a hall that is located separately from other terminals and serves passengers regardless of which terminal they are departing from. In this complex, passengers are given the opportunity to check in for flights within the country and to other countries. Also, customs and passport control is carried out here. But all this is available only for VIP passengers. There is a separate car park for passengers. Clients are given the opportunity to order a meeting room.

Services provided in the lounge are available only for those VIP passengers who have purchased a voucher at the box office (any terminal) or entered into a cooperation agreement (if the client is a legal entity). Services must be ordered no later than one day before departure. Free of charge in this room serve the Heroes of the Soviet Union, the Russian Federation and participants of the Great Patriotic War.

Vnukovo-2

This is a terminal serving the government. Only government officials are served here. Moreover, we are talking about the leaders and other representatives of the government of any state who arrive in the Russian Federation on working official visits at the invitation of the President or other representatives of the Russian government.

All Vnukovo terminals are equipped in such a way as to provide the maximum degree of comfort to passengers, as well as to minimize the time it takes to complete check-in and procedures such as customs and passport control, baggage registration, etc.

Note: if you need long-term parking, then you can save a lot by using the services. Their parking lots are located about 10 minutes from Moscow airports. Provided free airport shuttle and back, free baggage wrapping. Cost: when parking from 30 days - 200 rubles, with a club card - 225 rubles, common price- 250 rubles per day.

In contact with

Vnukovo Airport is the largest in the Moscow air hub in terms of the number of domestic flights served, so if you are flying somewhere in Russia, then there is a high probability that you will find yourself right here. Such large Russian airlines, like Utair, Russia and Pobeda, it is the main hub for them, and from foreign countries, for example, Turkish Airlines and .

"Vnukovo" is the closest airport to Moscow: we, of course, mean the real, and not the new zamkadny Moscow, on the territory of which it, in fact, is located. Getting to the airport is easy enough.

First, by "Aeroexpress" from the Kievsky railway station. It is important to know that, as a rule, it runs only once an hour, so if you are late for one of them, you will have to wait for the next one for a very long time: you can easily miss your flight. In addition, keep in mind that upon arrival at an underground station (like in a subway), the entire crowd from the train rushes through the passage to the airport building, where, due to the low throughput of the security checkpoint, a huge queue is formed -! Fortunately, it can be bypassed by turning left and taking an escalator or elevator to the surface. Here, however, you will have to cross the road.

Secondly, by bus. The old way: from the metro station "Yugo-Zapadnaya" or "Troparevo" you can take city bus # 611. By the way, he drives along dedicated lanes, so it doesn't stay in traffic for long. So, you can easily wait half an hour for this 611 bus. The crush on the 611 bus is, in general, also a common thing: it is used by residents of villages along the Kiev highway. Perhaps its only advantage is the later departures of the last flights, around 2:30 am (other routes finish running earlier).

Therefore, in connection with the opening of the Salaryevo metro station, it is better to travel through it. From there, there is an express bus 911 (previously it was called 611k), it takes only 16 minutes to get there. The latter leaves at 11:49 pm. In addition, bus 272 also runs from Salaryevo (the last one is at 00:30), which does not drive even close to the terminal itself, but stops at the intersection of Tsentralnaya and 1-st Reisovaya streets. However, it takes a little longer to walk from this stop to Terminal A, but it is more pleasant (along the park) and more convenient than from stop 611/911: firstly, you will have to overcome much fewer curbs along the way. Secondly, part of the path runs along a comfortable underground passage with the sign "Aeroexpress" (the passage also has elevators, there is a separate entrance to them on the left). An underground passage leads directly to the -1 level of Terminal A, from where you can take an elevator to the registration area.

There is also a 272K bus. It differs in that it makes a circle around the village of Vnukovo. So we strongly recommend buses from Salaryevo: it's fast and cheap.

Life hack: there is an elevator in Salaryevo, but it is not so easy to find it - it hides behind the stairs, when it seems that the stairs are the end of the station and there is nothing behind it. To get on the elevator, you need to go all the way to the end of the platform, this is the first door of the first car from the center. At the end of the platform on the left is the elevator door. An elevator leads to the lobby level. Next, you need to go through the highlighted turnstile by clicking on the green button on it, turn right, go through a row of glass doors and on the right along the wall there will be the door of the second elevator, which leads to the surface. On the surface, the elevator exits into a separate pavilion, which is closer to the stop than the main staircase exit. So it is very convenient to use the elevator, especially with luggage.

It is better to leave faster in the direction of Moscow, having reached the “Hotel” stop on the street. Central, where all three buses stop.

There is also a bus number 32 to the new Rasskazovka metro station, which opened in 2019. It may be more convenient for those who need to get into western part Moscow. It is important to note that the bus arrives at the metro station itself only on the way to the airport. When traveling from the airport, you need to get off at the Rasskazovka-2 stop (behind the intersection with a traffic light) and walk a couple of hundred meters north through several regulated passages, which may not be very convenient if you have luggage.

You can drive your car not only along Kievskoye, but also along Borovskoye highway, there is a terminal near Vnukovo. Access to the departure area of Terminal A (via the overpass) is free, without barriers, but it is strictly forbidden to park there and the exit from the terminal to the street is closed, there is only an entrance. So if you are escorting someone by car, do not enter the terminal, it will be very difficult to return to the car.

There is a car-sharing car park right next to the terminal, which usually has a lot of Delimobil and Yandex.Drive cars; a trip to the Rasskazovka metro station can be comparable in cost to a bus and take less time. However, it can be very difficult to find a parking place in residential areas near the station in the morning and evening.

Terminal A, opened in 2012, is de facto the only terminal in the airport. In fact, there is also Terminal B, the former international from which a small number of international flights have recently been operated, mainly charter (Ay Fly) and low-budget ( Wizz air), but now all of them have been transferred to terminal A, and terminal B is mothballed. And also between them there is an old terminal D - such (1), in which several domestic flights arrive a day, the passengers of which go through post-flight security. On departure, you will depart in any case from the new terminal, which is the largest in terms of area in Russia.

Unlike Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo with two parallel runways, thanks to which you can use one lane for takeoffs and the other for landings, in Vnukovo the lanes intersect, so the possibilities to use them at the same time are limited. Depending on the operating scheme, both lanes may be in operation at the same time, for example, landing on runway-1 from the side of the region, and takeoff from runway-2 in the direction of Moscow. This is already being applied in practice. There is an option to take off from both lanes towards Moscow at the same time, and from the runway-2 - from the crosspiece, for business jets the remaining runway is enough for takeoff.

The airfield, of course, allows you to do much less air defense than at Domodedovo and quite a bit less than at Sheremetyevo, but still its capacity is sufficient for the full load of Terminal A, and for the full load of Terminal B. The airport (both the airfield and airport complex) can serve about 25-30 million passengers per year.

Two runways at Vnukovo intersect.

But now the airport is not fully loaded (14 million passengers in 2016), so the terminal creates a feeling of peace, tranquility and peace, especially in the evening. There are no crowds, bustle and stuffiness here; the waiting room is always full of free benches, catering establishments always have free seats - in a word, the exact opposite of Sheremetyevo, or even more so Domodedovo with passengers sleeping in every corner.

Representative office of the airline "Transaero" in Vnukovo, may God rest her soul.

Then there was “Russia” in this place.

Check-in counters blocks are “assigned” to airlines; there is no multi-stream division like "all domestic flights here, all international flights there", as in Sheremetyevo, which is good for passengers who are late: there is no need to ask to skip the queue if check-in is about to end.

Only counters for flights to visa countries are allocated separately - the airline employees first check for visas and only then let them go to the check-in counters.

Representative offices of major airlines are located near the check-in counters, so if you have any questions, you won't have to go far to look for an office. However, if there is no one at the counter of the representative office, you can still contact the office - they are located on the third floor.

You can also go through the transit without luggage from the check-in hall.

A small queue may appear at security checks, but on domestic flights, if a crowd is found, you can try to go through the corridor for transfer passengers ("Transit without baggage") with a dedicated security check zone (for this you need to go to the baggage claim area, telling the security guard that you are in the KNB , then turn left, go up and walk along the gallery to meet those arriving). By the way, about the luggage: upon arrival, you can on the monitors and put your suitcases on the tape. This is not the case at other airports.

Where to eat at Vnukovo airport? Let's start with the budget options. Firstly, the information circulated on the Internet about the super-cheap canteen in Terminal D is outdated, this legendary establishment has long been closed, but the advantage of Vnukovo lies in its location not in an open field, but in the city. Therefore, within walking distance there are several canteens and cafes.

So, 350 meters from the main entrance to Terminal A, there is a cafe at the Vnukovo hotel (Centralnaya street 2, building 1A) with affordable prices. You need to go there along a forest path, at the beginning of which there is a sign “100 meters”. In fact, from it is not 100, but 222, but do not be afraid.

The disadvantage of this cafe is that it is open until 8 pm.

600 meters from the central entrance (go straight along the 1st Reisovaya street; building 4A) on the second floor there is "Canteen No. 1". Formally, it also works until 8 pm, but in fact - until the last client, because it is more profitable for the owner who lives in the same house to sell all the cooked food, and not throw it away in the evening (that is, you will not be fed yesterday). For three hundred rubles, you can eat salad, soup, second and compote.

Even if you come here and kiss the door, the path will still be done for a reason: there is a café-bar “Crown” in the next building (prices are already higher here, they are average city, but still not airport), which works until midnight then up to an hour or two. There is also alcohol here. In addition, there is also a 24-hour Doner Kebab stall and two 24-hour grocery stores, so you won't die of hunger even when you dock at night.

Grenkipub, owned by “Shokoladnitsa”, is in Moscow only in Vnukovo.

At the airport itself, above the check-in area on the third floor, there is a Mu-Mu canteen serving traditional Russian food. True, if you like to go to Mu-Mu in Moscow, then Vnukovskoe may disappoint you with less tasty food and more high prices; in terms of price-quality ratio, in general, not the most the best option... There is also "Air Buffet": a decent canteen where the middle management of the airport eats. Also on departure there is a grill bar Just, Orient Express on the third floor, two pubs and two Crumbs-Potatoes (on the third floor on the right, near the Orient Express) and on the second floor on the left, where there is a boarding gate for domestic Russian lines.

In the sterile zone of domestic flights, that is, after security checks, there is a guaranteed edible and inexpensive Burger King, an eternally empty Shokoladnitsa, as well as its Grenkipub beer restaurant (in fact, the same canteen, only with beer). In the sterile area of international flights, there are two Shokoladnitsa, a Heineken bar with a canteen-type cafe in the same room, Burger King, Zyu Cafe and Mu-Mu.

Finding "Chocolate Girl" and "Croutons" is important, even if you are reasonably not going to fill yourself with beer before the flight. The fact is that next to them are the only electrical outlets available in the entire waiting room, from which you can charge your phone or laptop (by the way, be prepared for the fact that free Wi-Fi may work or not). Another socket lonely lurking near the toilets. By the way, there is no point in queuing for the toilet near Burger King - in the area of exit 15, all the same can be done without a waiting area.

By the way, about the toilets. In the publicly accessible part of the terminal, there is a toilet on the 1st level (where Aeroexpress is located) on the left, and on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels, all toilets are at the right end of the terminal. The toilet on the left on the 2nd floor (where the boarding gate is) is very small. Strictly speaking, it should generally belong to the area after passport control, but for now it is in the general area.

The fact is that now there is no left wing of Terminal A with two more check-in islands, and there should be three more toilets on each level on the left. But the wing has not yet been built, so there are not enough toilets on the left side of the public area.

In the sterile MVL area, there are toilets near gates 11, 12 and between 14 and 15. In the sterile MVL area, there are toilets near gates 30, 25, 24 and between 22 and 21.

Lurking among the shops is an inconspicuous entrance to the Rachmaninov business hall for Priority Pass, where, as expected, there are few people. There are even fewer people in the Prokofiev business lounge. Both have a modest but sufficient selection of hot food and snacks; from alcohol only beer is free. There are also recumbent places. However, to sleep, you can go to the capsule hotel: there is one in the public (above the departure area) and in the clean area (near the business lounge).

And since we started talking about shops: in the inner zone, they all have the word Duty in their names for a reason, which should hint to an inexperienced passenger from the regions about duty-free shops Duty-Free. Of course, in fact, there is no duty-free trade, the stores operate according to the Duty-Paid concept: the same operator as Duty-Free, about the same assortment, but the customs duty has been paid. That is, all these clothes, toys and perfumes are sold at traditional airport prices, that is, slightly higher than the market average.

In this section you will find reviews from travelers who have visited this airport, as well as our guide to Vnukovo Airport, Moscow, with information on Wi-Fi, cafes, amenities and services…. and yes, even the names of some hotels near the airport in case you decide that sleeping at the airport is not for you.

To help you plan your waiting time for your transfer or your overnight stay at the airport, we've compiled a summary of the information we've gathered from travelers' reviews of their stay in international airport Vnukovo.

What to expect

  • It is the smallest of the three major airports in Moscow and the third busiest in Russia.
  • This medium-sized airport is divided into two terminals. The main terminal - Terminal A - is used for domestic and international flights. Terminal D currently receives inbound flights, mainly from the North Caucasus.
  • All major announcements (delays, boarding, final calls, etc.) are announced in Russian and English... As elsewhere in Russia, only a few airport employees speak English. Expect language barriers.
  • Free Wi-Fi is available. See Wi-Fi in the airport overview below.

Where to sleep

  • We have very few reviews from tourists who spent the night here. If you plan to stay overnight at the airport, please have a backup plan.
  • All the benches in Terminal A have armrests, so they are not comfortable to sleep in. But some very tired and desperate passengers slide two benches together to create an impromptu bed.
  • Airport staff are generally tolerant of sleeping travelers - perhaps until the airport starts to get crowded.
  • Almost all benches in the “ground” part of the terminals are metal, and those in the “air” zone are equipped with soft inserts.
  • Some people rent a movie at a movie theater to relax in a movie booth. See section Additional services in the airport overview below.
  • There are no dedicated sleeping areas at Vnukovo Airport, but there is a dark, windowless section in the departure area of international flights between gates 28 / 28A and 29 / 29A.
  • For a restful and uninterrupted sleep, there are hotels near the airport. See section Hotels in the airport overview below.
