The attack on the Pentagon on 11 September. Who really blew up the Twin Towers in New York? And who are the judges

The September 11, 2001 (or 9/11) attacks are a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks against the United States by an Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda in New York and Washington. They took place on Tuesday 11 September 2001.

Four terrorist groups, each with a trained pilot, hijacked passenger planes and sent them towards targets - the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon. The fourth plane crashed in a deserted area in Pennsylvania before reaching Washington. The US government said that the organizers of the attack belong to the al-Qaeda group. During these attacks, about 3,000 people died. Most of them were citizens of the United States, but about 300 were from the UK, India, Canada and other countries.

Planes that became instruments of terrorist attacks

The first of the four aircraft hijacked was American Airlines Flight 11 (Boeing 767-200ER). He made daily flights between Boston and Los Angeles. When hijacked at 7:59 am on September 11, 2001, there were 81 passengers on board (out of 158 seats). Forty-seven minutes later, this plane crashed into the North Tower of the New York World Trade Center at 94-98 floors, at 440 mph, carrying 9,717 gallons of jet fuel. (A US gallon is equal to 3.78541178 liters.)

The second was United Airlines Flight 175, also a Boeing 767-200ER, also flying from Boston to Los Angeles. It took off at 8:14 am on September 11 and carried 56 passengers (out of 168 seats). Captured by terrorists, it crashed into the South Tower of the mall at 9:03 am, at 540 mph, with 9.118 gallons of fuel in its tanks.

The third terrorist hijacked American Airlines Flight 77, Boeing 757-200. It flew from Washington to Los Angeles at 8:20 am on September 11, 2001. The plane was two-thirds empty (58 passengers out of 176). It crashed into the Pentagon at 9:37 am at 530 mph with 4,000 gallons of fuel in its tanks.

The fourth aircraft used by terrorists was United Airlines Flight 93, a Boeing 757-200. He was captured 42 minutes after his 8am flight from Newark to San Francisco. There were only 37 passengers on board and just over 7,000 gallons of fuel. It crashed at 560 mph in an empty field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:03 am.

Victims and destruction

All 246 people on four planes, as well as 19 hijackers, were killed in the attacks. Both of the attacked World Trade Center towers caught fire. The South Tower (WTC-2) burned for 56 minutes until it fell and collapsed. The North Tower (WTC-1) burned for 102 minutes, then it also fell. During the collapse, parts of the towers fell into other neighboring buildings. Due to this damage, the third tower, No. 7, of the World Trade Center (WTC-7) fell at 5:20 pm. Many other buildings nearby were so badly damaged that they had to be demolished later. 2602 people died at the World Trade Center.

The plane crashed into the Pentagon from the west side. He damaged three of the five "rings" that make up the Pentagon. At the same time, 125 people died at the Pentagon.

The United States government paid the families of the victims of the attacks an average of $ 1.8 million.

A total of 2996 people died from the events of September 11, 2001, including firefighters and police officers who tried to save other people.

It is believed to have been the first major foreign terrorist attack on the United States. In 1941, when Japanese aircraft attacked a US naval base in Pearl Harbor Hawaii was not yet part of the United States. There have been several major attacks against American targets before, but most of them took place outside the United States (for example, in a Lebanese Marines camp).

When investigating the causes of the attacks, "conspiracy theories" were also put forward, according to which some people in the US government knew about the impending attacks in advance or even organized them.

After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the President of the United States Bush declared the so-called "war on terrorism". It expressed itself first in the strengthening of security measures inside the United States, and then in real wars on the territory Afghanistan and Iraq... Regimes were overthrown during these wars Taliban and Saddam Hussein... In May 2011, US special forces killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan.

Al-Qaeda and Taliban groups are recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation and are prohibited by law.

It has been 17 years since that day, since Nine-Eleven, when three skyscrapers collapsed in New York. No, I was not mistaken. Not two, but three, but for some reason they prefer not to remember the third. And when the third plane crashed into the repaired wing of the Pentagon, and in a strange way almost self-destructed, and another one fell in the desert. And these are far from all the mysteries of the tragedy that happened.

So, on the morning of September 11, 2001, some unknown persons hijacked four Boeing aircraft (two in Boston, one in Washington, and another in Newark), after which the first two planes crashed into the New York skyscrapers WTC-1 and WTC-2, the third hit the wall of the Pentagon; and the fourth crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Two WTC towers, attacked by planes, suddenly collapsed in a very strange way in a very strange way, neatly folded inside. For some reason, the neighboring skyscraper WTC 7 also collapsed completely and neatly, although no planes hit it.

It took only a few days after the "terrorist attacks" when the first official version of what had happened was ready and the executors were named. Osama bin Laden, who led this action from Afghanistan, and, of course, his brainchild of al-Qaeda, was immediately named to blame. Also, the names of all 19 hijackers were immediately named, who abandoned their cars near the airports, in which they found the Koran and instructions in Arabic "How to fly an airplane", and miraculously found the surviving passports of "terrorists" in the wreckage of the aircraft. From this it followed that an urgent need to start bombing Afghanistan and invading Iraq.

In the fall of 2002, a special commission was created under the loud name "National Commission on Terrorist Attacks on the United States." It was chaired by former New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean. The commission included former employees of the CIA, FBI, Department of Justice and other government agencies. All actions and the course of the investigation were led by Philip Zelikow, a member of the administration of President Bush Jr., who also worked under Bush Sr.

The final form of the official version, indicated above, was adopted on July 22, 2004, when the above-mentioned commission of 83 people completed the report on 585 pages. The report of the Keene Commission confirmed the above version, which still remains the only and irrefutable.

And now we will cite some facts showing how the US special services are able to "investigate" and obtain the necessary and deliberately announced results.

Cell Phones

The official report claims that all the information from the Boeing that crashed into the WTC skyscraper was transmitted to the ground by mobile phones. In particular, flight attendant Betty Ong spoke for 23 minutes and flight attendant Madeline Sweeney for 25 minutes. Sweeney's last words were: “I see water! I see buildings! " ...

And now the fact, which the authors of the official report "forgot" about. In 2001, cell phone calls from an airplane flying at speeds exceeding 700 km / h were not possible.

The fact is that when the phone enters the broadcasting area of the base station, or "cell", a so-called "greeting" occurs, which in 2001 took at least eight seconds. The welcome system was not designed for movement at a speed of 700 km / h and is possible at a maximum speed of 150 km / h. And only in 2004, Qualcomm, together with American Airlines, developed a system that, using a satellite, provides calls to cell phones from an aircraft on which a special mobile base station is installed. On July 15, 2004, a trial launch of the system was made, after which it began to function.

Cheating at speed

An official report from the Keane Commission provides a diagram of the alleged movement of Flight 175, which crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center, according to which the plane overcame the final stretch from Trenton to New York in four minutes.

Boeing traffic to New York

Now for the fact: The straight line distance between Trenton and New York is 85 kilometers. For even counting, you can even consider it equal to 80. According to official data, the plane covered this distance in 4 minutes. Let's find the average speed of the liner in this section: V = 80 km / 4 min = 20 km / min = 1200 km / h. We get the speed of sound.

Of course, the Boeing 767 was not supersonic. The technical characteristics of the Boeing 767-200 say that its maximum cruising speed at an altitude of 12 km is 915 km / h. And this is only at an altitude of 12,000 meters, where the air density is five times lower than at sea level, and the liner flew into the building at a height of several hundred meters. The same technical specifications say that the maximum permissible speed of the Boeing 767-200 (the so-called Vne - Velocity Never Exceed), exceeding which the plane will simply begin to collapse, is 0.86 the speed of sound, that is, about 1000 km / h. Therefore, even if the plane still managed to develop the speed of sound, it would crumble long before Manhattan. That is, the official investigation invites everyone to believe in something that is impossible purely physically. So, one more lie of the official investigation.

"Gemini" could not collapse on their own

According to the official report, the one hundred and ten-story skyscraper WTC-1 completely collapsed after 1 hour and 42 minutes after the plane hit, and its twin, WTC-2, after 56 minutes. The reason, of course, is indicated as follows - the impact and subsequent fire that occurred after the Boeing hit the buildings.

But this is where some more surprising facts appear.

It turns out that the Gemini were designed so that, in addition to the wind load, they could withstand the frontal impact of the Boeing-707, the largest passenger airliner in those years. In the early 1970s, Leslie Robertson, who built the buildings, calculated the effect of a Boeing 707 collision with the WTC tower. He reported the results to the New York Times, claiming that the towers will withstand the impact of the liner flying at a speed of 960 km / h, that is, having taken the hit of the liner, the skyscraper will remain standing without serious structural damage. In other words, the central frame and the remaining perimeter to stand will withstand the additional load resulting from the absence of the demolished part of the supporting structures. It was with such a margin of safety that the "twins" were built.

Frank DeMartini, one of the project leaders for the construction of the World Trade Center, confirms this idea: the building was designed in such a way to withstand the impact of a Boeing 707 with a maximum take-off weight. It was the largest aircraft of the time. I am sure that the building would have withstood even a few aircraft hits, since its structure resembled a dense mosquito net, and an airplane is like a pencil that pierces this mesh and does not affect the structure of the rest of it.

The fire also could not destroy the skyscrapers. Here's evidence that the official report is lying again:

So, the WTC-1 building withstood the first blow. Nevertheless, in the next hour and a half, something happened as a result of the fire, provoking the collapse of the tower. By the way, this is the first and only case in world history when a skyscraper actually turns into a heap of ruins as a result of an hour and a half fire - if you believe the official version.

In the mid-1990s, two British firms, British Steel and the Building Research Establishment, conducted a series of experiments in Cardington to determine the effects of fires on steel-framed structures. On the experimental model of the eight-story building, the steel structures did not have fire protection. Despite the fact that the temperature of the steel beams reached 900 ° C (!) With a critical maximum of 600 ° C, no failure occurred in any of the six experiments, although certain deformations did occur.

In August 2005, John R. Hall Jr. of the US National Fire Fighting Association published the analytical work Fires in Tall Buildings. In particular, it provides statistics according to which 7300 fires occurred in high-rise buildings in 2002 alone, many of which were very intense and lasted for many hours, having managed to absorb more than one floor. Despite the casualties and significant damage, none of these fires resulted in collapses.

If that's not enough, here are some more specific examples of the most severe fires in recent decades:

On February 23, 1991, a fire broke out in the 38-story One Meridian Plaza in Philadelphia. The fire started on the 22nd floor, covered 8 floors and lasted 18 hours. As a result of this fire, a lot of glass was broken, granite cracked and load-bearing walls sagged. Nevertheless, the building survived and not a single part of it collapsed.

On May 4, 1988, the 62-story First Interstate Bank building in Los Angeles caught fire. The fire lasted 3.5 hours, 4.5 floors burned out - from the 12th to the 16th. But the supporting structures survived completely, and the secondary structures and several interfloor floors received only minor damage. The building survived.

On August 5, 1970, an explosion occurred in the 50-story building 1 New York Plaza and a fire broke out that lasted six hours. There were no collapses.

On October 17, 2004, a skyscraper caught fire in the Venezuelan city of Caracas. The fire broke out at the 34th floor, covered 26 (!) Floors and lasted 17 hours. The building survived.

And, finally, a fire in that very New York World Trade Center. On February 13, 1975, a fire broke out in the north tower on the 11th floor, as a result of which 65% of the floor was completely burnt out. In addition, the fire spread down to the 9th and up to the 16th floors, however, without affecting the office space and confined to the shafts inside the central frame. The fire continued for three hours, and despite its much higher intensity than on September 11, 2001, the structure of the building was not damaged. Not only the central frame, inside which the fire mainly spread, but also all the interfloor ceilings, remained completely unscathed.

1975 World Trade Center fire

And the 47-storey "WTC 7" collapsed by itself ... by accident.

The official report states that WTC-7 "collapsed" due to weakening of the supporting structures, despite the fact that no aircraft hit it.

As it turned out, very few people knew about the demolition of the 7th WTC building. Its destruction was somehow imperceptible against the background of the rest of the events of that day. This 47-story skyscraper, also called Salomon Brothers, housed the offices of the FBI, the Department of Defense, the 1RS tax service (according to the Online Journal, with a huge amount of dirt, including the infamous Enron), counterintelligence The United States, the stock exchange (with evidence of stock exchange fraud), and various financial institutions. Its collapse occurred at approximately 17:20 New York time, and several rather curious incidents are associated with it.

FEMA claims that this building collapsed for the same reasons as the "twins" - due to weakening of the load-bearing structures. But why? The plane did not hit it. Fires did not rage in it - only in three places there were small local fires: on the seventh, twelfth and twenty-ninth floors. If we recall the scheme of the entire World Trade Center, then building No. 7 is the most distant from the "epicenter", separated from the main complex by a street. Where did the damage come from? The report is silent about this.

Such a small fire allegedly resulted in the complete destruction of the WTC-7 building.

And the most "truthful" in the world, the BBC even announced the collapse of the WTC-7 in advance.

Indeed, the report of the British television channel BBC (BBC) looks unique. In a TV news program that aired at 10:00 London time, that is, 17:00 New York time, the presenter told viewers that the WTC-7 building in New York had collapsed. But there were still 20 minutes left before it collapsed. Moreover, TV reporter Jane Standley in her live report from New York talked about the collapse of WTC-7, while being in its background. A rare photograph shows this moment - the building of WTC-7 is indicated by arrows. The caption at the bottom of the screen reads: "The 47-story Salomon Brothers building near the World Trade Center also collapsed."

Air Force talks about the destruction of WTC 7

However, at some point, apparently, the TV people realized what had happened, and at 17:14 the picture of the broadcast from New York was suddenly distorted by interference, and after a few seconds it completely disappeared.

How else to explain this incredible "blooper", if not the presence of a pre-written script? Is it possible that the building was planned to be demolished a little earlier, but they simply did not have time to inform London about the delay in this mise-en-scene of the performance, and the British continued to follow the script. So they got the press release before all this happened? But from whom and how?

Of course, such an incident caused a lot of questions to the BBC TV channel. However, news head Richard Porter explained the cryptic story as follows: “We are not part of a conspiracy. Nobody told us what to talk about or what to do on 9/11. Nobody informed us in advance that the building should fall. We have not received a press release or a script for what is to happen. "

It turns out that if no one told them anything in advance, it means that they themselves, on their own initiative, told about the collapse of the building, which will happen in 20 minutes. But we read further: "We have not preserved the original recording of the reports from September 11 - not because of a conspiracy, but because of confusion." The news record of one of the most important days in the history of the TV channel was suddenly lost.

The dead "terrorists" were alive

Official list of "hijackers"

The list was accompanied by the following comment: “The FBI is absolutely confident in the accuracy of the identification of the nineteen hijackers responsible for the 9/11 attacks. In addition, the 9/11 investigations were scrutinized by the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks against the United States and jointly by the Senate and House of Representatives. None of these checks raised the slightest doubt about the identities of the nineteen hijackers. "

On September 23, 2001, the British BBC News Agency unexpectedly reported that Walid al-Shehri, a Saudi Arabian and named hijacker of AA11 flight, is currently alive, well and doing great in Casablanca, Morocco. The Saudi Arabian Embassy has confirmed that he attended a flight school in Daytona Beach, Florida. He left the United States in September 2000 and works for Royal Air Morocco. This is further confirmed by the Associated Press, according to which Walid al-Shehri appeared at the American Embassy in Morocco: “The FBI released a photograph of him that was disseminated in newspapers and television news around the world. This same Mr. al-Shehri showed up in Morocco, thus proving that he was not a member of the suicide pilot team. Total, minus one.

Weil al-Shehri (AA11) is also alive and well. He works as a pilot and his father is a Saudi Arabian diplomat in Bombay. The Los Angeles Times, in an article on September 21, 2001, reports that the head of the information center of the Saudi Arabian Embassy in the United States, Gaafar Allagani, confirmed that he personally spoke with both father and son. Total, minus two.

Abdulaziz al-Omari (AA11), while studying in Denver, lost his passport, which he once reported to the police. He currently works as an engineer for Saudi Telecom. The Telegraph newspaper quoted him on September 23, 2001: “I couldn't believe when I saw myself on the FBI lists. They showed my name, my photo and my date of birth, but I'm not a suicide bomber. I'm here. I'm alive. I have no idea how to fly the plane. I had nothing to do with all this. " Total, minus three.

Said al-Ghamdi (UA93), a Saudi Airways pilot, was in Tunisia during the 9/11 events, where he was training with 22 other pilots to fly an Airbus-320. The Telegraph quoted him as saying: “The FBI did not provide any evidence of my involvement in the attacks. You have no idea what it is like to be called a dead terrorist when I am alive and innocent. " Total, minus four.

Ahmed al-Nami (UA93) works as Clerk for Saudi Airlines in Riyadh: “As you can see, I am alive. I was shocked to see my name on the [terrorist] lists. I've never heard of Pennsylvania, where it turns out I hijacked a plane. " Total, minus five.

Salem al-Hamzi (AA77) works at a chemical plant in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia: "I have never been to the United States, and in the last two years I have not left Saudi Arabia." Total, minus six.

Khalid al-Midhar (AA77) - programmer in Mecca, Saudi Arabia: "I would like to think that this is some kind of mistake." According to the Chicago Tribune, he was watching TV when his friends started calling him and asking if he was alive. Total, minus seven.

Mohand al-Shehri (UA175) and Satam al-Sukami (AA11) are also alive and well, minus nine, according to the Saudi Arabian Embassy in the United States.

And only on September 23, 2001, the head of the FBI, Robert Mueller, said: "There are doubts about the identity of some of the hijackers. There is no legal evidence confirming the identity of the hijackers."
But for all the obviousness of outright falsification with the names of "terrorists", the same 19 original names appear in the official report of the "Keane Commission".

Fake bin Laden

And since now there is no evidence of the involvement of the "hijackers" in the terrorist attacks, it means that al-Qaeda seems to have nothing to do with it, and there is no need to bomb Afghanistan.

But within a few days after the collapse of skyscrapers, the United States "suddenly" has a video of Osama bin Laden's confession on December 14, 2001. She was allegedly found in a house in Jalalabad. And it is this record that forms the basis of the final conclusion of the official commission - the 9/11 attacks were carried out by Osama bin Laden and, of course, Al-Qaeda.

But what immediately attracts attention is that this video is of very low quality. And the man himself, who, according to the FBI, is bin Laden, is completely different from him, and this is clearly visible even despite the poor quality. It is more dense, it has a different shape of the nose, lips, eyebrows and cheekbones. The FBI dossier says that bin Laden is left-handed, and on the video he records something with his right hand. In addition, he has a gold ring on his finger, and Islam, as you know, forbids a man to wear gold jewelry, and there is not a word about this in bin Laden's dossier.

Two "bin Laden"

The photo shows two bin Ladens: on the left - a simulator from a Jalalabad video, on the right - a real one. Even with the naked eye, you can see that in the frame from the video and in the photo there are two completely different people, and the only similarities between them are a beard and a turban. And again, the fantastic arrogance of the American special services is striking, which did not even bother with such a "trifle" as the use of someone even a little bit like the real bin Laden.

As a result, realizing that bin Laden was also punctured, the head of the FBI Investigation Department, Rex Tomb, admitted: "The September 11 attacks do not appear in Osama bin Laden's dossier, since there is no evidence of his involvement in the September 11 events." ...

On March 29, 2006, Vice-President Richard Cheney also “split”: “We have never argued that Osama bin Laden had anything to do with 9/11. We never had convincing evidence. "

However, in the official report of the Keene Commission, Osama bin Laden remained the main character, and the main material evidence is the already refuted video forgery.

How the evidence was destroyed

The steel that remained after the destruction of the WTC towers was hastily sent for processing, not even allowing investigators to access it. More than 185 thousand tons of steel were liquidated from the epicenter. Firefighters reported to the US Congress that about 80% (!) Of the steel debris had been removed, and the investigators could not even demand that the remains be preserved for analysis. In particular, the Chinese corporation Shanghai Baosteel Group purchased fifty thousand tons of steel from the collapse of the WTC in the form of scrap at a price of $ 120 per ton. Thousands of tons of steel were sent for processing to India as well.

Such actions caused a wave of indignation among independent researchers and families of the victims, but the newly minted Mayor of New York Mike Bloomberg, who succeeded Rudolph Giuliani in this post at the end of 2001, replied that there are other ways to investigate the tragedy 11 September. He also remarked that "just looking at a piece of metal won't tell you anything."

Despite the protests of all those wishing to look at these "pieces of metal", the removal of scrap was in full swing. The official reason for this rush was that it was "completely useless garbage that only gets in the way." Apparently, this "garbage" was so "useless" that its removal took place under the strictest control, and the trucks that transported steel debris from the "epicenter" area were equipped with expensive tracking devices so that, God forbid, this completely useless garbage would not turn out to be anywhere other than smelting furnaces. Steel was removed from the "crime scene" at such a high speed that even a specially created government commission VRAT (Building Performance Assessment Team), having the opportunity to just look at the remains, had no right either to study these very remains, or to get acquainted with drawings of buildings. Which, in fact, calls into question the very meaning of the creation of this commission.

Bill Manning, editor-in-chief of Fire Engineering Magazine, on behalf of the firefighters, expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of government organizations to destroy the evidence and completely bar the independent researchers from studying it: “We have reason to believe that the 'official investigations' ... are not more than a blatant farce imposed on us by political forces, whose main interests, to put it mildly, are very far from revealing the truth ... The destruction of evidence must stop immediately. "

Manning also stressed that the destruction of this steel is illegal: "According to the national fire investigation standard, all evidence for any fire in buildings over 10 stories high must be preserved, and there are no exceptions to this rule."

On September 26, 2001, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani banned all video and photography in the "epicenter" area. One photographer, who chose not to be named, was erased by his digital camera and threatened with arrest if he reappeared, but was able to recover the erased images using PhotoRescue.

As a result, everything that could shed light on the 9/11 terrorist attack was quickly destroyed and not a single expert was able to get acquainted with the “material evidence”.

Consequences of "terrorist attacks"

Less than two weeks after 9/11, a very interesting piece of legislation (the so-called Patriotic) was presented to Congress for approval, which in just a month became law. And in early October 2001, the American invasion of Afghanistan began. This is an unprecedented pace of decision-making, preparation for their implementation and the actual implementation. But the essence of these very measures raises a large number of questions.

Consideration of the so-called anti-terrorism bill, called the Patriot Act, Congress began on September 24, 2001. This bill in general turned out to be very remarkable both in content and in the methods of its implementation.

First, it got to Congress for consideration, bypassing the channels prescribed by law, that is, without preliminary discussion under the supervision of the Administrative and Budgetary Office.

Second, then-Attorney General John Ashcroft demanded that Congress pass it within one week and without change. Despite such strict and specific instructions, the controversial document nevertheless caused certain discussions - to the obvious displeasure of the minister. Realizing that it would not be easy to "push through" the bill, Ashcroft warned in a joint meeting with the heads of the Senate and House of Representatives that more terrorist attacks were likely to come, and Congress would be to blame if the law was not passed now. It was clear blackmail, and the statement itself seemed absurd, but Congress was not ready to withstand such pressure from the minister.

Just in case, in order to finally "push" the adoption of this act, two particularly stubborn congressmen - Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy, who actively opposed, received envelopes in the mail with anthrax disputes ...

Republican Congressman Ron Paul told The Washington Times that no Congressman was even allowed to read the act. Nevertheless, on October 12, it was approved by both houses of Congress, and on October 26, 2001, President Bush put his signature on the document, thereby giving the Patriot Act the status of law.

What is the meaning of the Patriot Act? Firstly, this act gives federal employees the right to search homes, workplaces, computers and private property of citizens either without notifying them at all, or with post facto notification when the search has already been carried out.

Secondly, the CIA received an unlimited opportunity, without a court decision, to establish surveillance of its citizens, if this is done "for intelligence purposes." This includes wiretapping and tracking the user's Internet activity. Incidentally, up to this point, the CIA's purpose was to conduct intelligence activities exclusively against foreign "elements."

Third, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies have the right to demand medical, financial and academic records and state archives for any person, only by presenting a warrant that the court must issue if it is required for an investigation to protect against "international terrorism." At the same time, a sufficient reason for the search is not even required, and the organization to which the order was presented has no right to tell anyone that the FBI has requested these data. Including the one whose data was requested!

Fourth, freedom of speech is de facto limited, because any careless phrase can now be regarded as a terrorist conspiracy. According to this act, domestic terrorism includes "actions that are exchanged as attempts to influence the political course of the state with the help of threats or violence." As you can see, the concept of "domestic terrorism" is defined so vaguely that almost any political or other activist group (the same Greenpeace, for example) can fall under this definition. And anyone who disagrees with the actions of the government is also not immune from this. In addition to these acts, several more directives of a similar orientation have appeared.

P.S. And this is just a small part of the "evidence" found in the "most reliable" official investigation of the 9/11 tragedy. But this, in my opinion, is quite enough to understand by what methods the United States is moving towards its goals, destroying more than three thousand Americans. In the continuation of the investigation, I will tell you about the mysterious plane that crashed into the Pentagon and disappeared in a strange way, and about the rest, no less mysterious planes of that terrible day - September 11, 2001.

TBILISI, 11 Sep - Sputnik. The largest terrorist act in the history of mankind was committed in the United States exactly fifteen years ago.

On September 11, 2001, suicide bombers of the Al-Qaeda terrorist organization hijacked four passenger planes in the United States, aiming two of them at the symbol of business New York - the World Trade Center towers, and the other two at the Pentagon and, presumably, the White House or the Capitol. All planes, except the last one, reached their targets. The fourth hijacked plane crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

There are also 19 terrorists killed in the attacks, 15 of them were citizens of Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt and one from Lebanon.

Chronology

At 8:46 am (hereinafter local time), an American Airlines Boeing 767, en route from Boston to Los Angeles, crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center (WTC) on Manhattan Island in New York between the 93rd and 99th floors. There were 81 passengers on board (including five terrorists) and 11 crew members.

At 9:03 am, a United Airlines Boeing 767, en route from Boston to Los Angeles, crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center between the 77th and 85th floors. There were 56 passengers and nine crew members on board.

At 9:37 am, an American Airlines Boeing 757, en route from Washington to Los Angeles, crashed into the Pentagon building. There were 58 passengers and six crew members on board.

At 10:03 am, a United Airlines Boeing 757, en route from Newark, New Jersey, to San Francisco, crashed into a field in southwestern Pennsylvania, near Shanksville, 200 kilometers from Washington. There were 37 passengers and seven crew members on board.

As a result of the strongest fire at 9:59 am, the South Tower collapsed, and at 10:28 am, the North Tower of the WTC.

At 18:16, the 47-storey building of the World Trade Center complex, located in the immediate vicinity of the WTC towers, collapsed.

The exact figure of the damage caused by the 9/11 attacks is unknown. In September 2006, US President George W. Bush announced that the damage from the September 11, 2001 attacks for the United States was at the lowest estimate of $ 500 billion.

Investigation and search for the perpetrators

On November 27, 2002, an independent commission to investigate the 9/11 attacks (9/11 Commission) was established in the United States. On July 22, 2004, the commission published the final report on the investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy. One of the main findings of the 600-page document was the recognition that the perpetrators of the attacks took advantage of "deep administrative failures" in the work of the US government.

The only defendant in the United States in the terrorist attack case is a French citizen of Moroccan origin, Zacarias Moussaoui. He was arrested in August 2001 after graduating from flight school in Oklahoma and training on a Boeing 747 simulator in Minnesota. In April 2005, Moussaoui was found guilty of intent to commit a terrorist attack, which was to be the fifth in a series of tragic events of September 11, 2001. On the personal instructions of Osama bin Laden, he was supposed to hijack a plane and go to ram the White House in Washington - the terrorist himself stated this in court. In May 2006, by a decision of the federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, where the trial took place, Zacarias Moussaoui was sentenced to life in prison.

Six other suspects of involvement in the attacks were arrested in 2002 and 2003, spent several years in CIA prisons, and in 2006 were taken to a camp at a US base in Guantanamo, Cuba.

In February 2008, the US Department of Defense indicted six inmates on murder and war crimes charges as part of an investigation into the 9/11 attacks.

The charges were brought against Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who, according to the report of the 9/11 Commission, is the central figure in the preparation of the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001; a native of Yemen, Ramzi Binalshiba (another spelling of Ramzi bin al-Shiba), who provided organizational support to terrorists and transferred money to them; Mohammed al-Kahtani, who, according to the investigation, on September 11, 2001, was supposed to become another, the 20th hijacker of four American planes; as well as Ali Abdul Aziz Ali, Mustafa Ahmed Hawsawi (another spelling of Mustafa Ahmad Hausawi) and Walid bin Attash.

In May 2008, the Pentagon dropped the charges against Mohammed al-Qahtani.

After President Barack Obama ordered the suspension of all activities of the military prosecutor's office at Guantanamo prison in January 2009 and promised to close the institution, the military department had to drop the charges. However, this promise of the president remained unfulfilled.

Not receiving support from Congress, the head of state in early March 2011 ordered the reopening of military trials against terrorist suspects held in Guantanamo Bay.

In early April 2011, US Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed that the accused Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other defendants in the 9/11 case would not be brought before a US civilian court, but before a special military commission at Guantanamo Bay.

On May 31, 2011, the US military prosecutor's office again brought charges of involvement in organizing the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on five suspects, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

On May 5, 2012, a military tribunal filed formal charges against five suspects of involvement in the organization of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack in the United States. They are accused of organizing a conspiracy, attacking civilians, intentionally causing physical harm, murder, violation of the laws of war, causing destruction, hijacking an aircraft and terrorism.

All five of the accused refused to answer whether they pleaded guilty.

In July 2014, a military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay ruled that the trial of one of the five accused of involvement in the terrorist attack - Ramzi Binalshibh - should be held separately due to the conclusion of military doctors that he had a "serious mental illness."

Hearings in the case of those accused of involvement in the organization of the terrorist attack are continuing.

Iran's responsibility

In March 2016, New York Federal District Judge George Daniels issued a court decision in absentia, according to which Iran must pay $ 7.5 billion to relatives and other representatives of those killed at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon building. The judge determined that the Iranian authorities must pay another three billion to insurers who covered property damage and other material losses. Earlier, Judge Daniels ruled that Tehran could not prove its innocence in providing assistance to the organizers of the terrorist attack, in connection with which the Iranian authorities bear a share of responsibility for the damage caused during it.

Memorial and New World Trade Center

On the site of the destroyed Twin Towers in New York, the World Trade Center Memorial was unveiled on September 11, 2011. It consists of two square fountain pools located right in the foundations of the former twin towers, along the inner walls of which water flows cascade into square holes located at the bottom of each of the pools. The names of 2,983 victims of the attacks (including the six who died in the 1993 World Trade Center attack) are carved into the bronze slabs lining the parapets of both fountains.

In November 2014, a new World Trade Center complex was opened. It is the fourth tallest skyscraper in the world - its height is 541 meters. Construction began in April 2006 on the corner of a 65,000-square-meter site where the twin towers of the destroyed shopping center had previously stood.

Since 2002, September 11 is celebrated in the United States as Patriot Day, since 2009, after the approval of Act 111-13 of the General Law of the United States, this date is also referred to as the nationwide Day of Service and Remembrance.

Ten years ago, 19 people trained by al-Qaeda launched a coordinated terrorist attack on the United States of America. It took several years to develop a plan for the attack. The terrorists simultaneously hijacked 4 large passenger planes with the intent to use them to destroy the most famous sights of the United States, taking as many lives as possible. Three planes reached their targets, the fourth crashed on a field in Pennsylvania. In one day, these acts of mass murder killed about 3,000 people from 57 countries around the world. More than 400 of them died - firefighters, policemen and ambulance brigades. This event received the maximum coverage in the entire history of the media, and even ten years later it is difficult to look at these pictures. The attacks and the reactions to them have largely shaped the world we live in today, and therefore it is very important to look at these photos and remember what happened that day. This post is the second of three dedicated to the 9/11 attacks.
