This is already the second trip to this region and the weather was absolutely the same despite the fact that we traveled in different months. I do not exclude that this is my personal luck, but nevertheless. So the lower stations are located at an altitude of about 1,000 meters and there is warm - about +2. At the top station of Mount Hopok (2,024 m), a strong wind is always blowing (which blows all the snow), so such that the gondola shakes not for childish and very often the pass is closed. And it means that you can ride you can "stronger" only one of the slopes of the mountain, and, therefore, in the high season - stand in the queues on the lift.
For myself, I concluded that it was rather a weekend resort (since it is located very close to the autobahn) and the Great Weather Lucky. So about all the apart.

How to breed from Kiev to the ski resort is clear by car.

We decided to go to clear for 2 days - Subota and Sunday on December 10 and 11, 2016. Training from Kiev at 13 o'clock December 9th. You can go through Poland (here a little shorter 1 035 km) and do not move through the pass from Lviv to Mukachevo. But there is one big but - Polish customs. Here you can simultane and 4 and 6 hours, and this is not an exaggeration. I do not know what they are doing there, but I have not met more slow customsists anywhere.

So we decided to go to Uzhgorod and there to cross the border with Slovakia. All the way (1 100 km) We did not very quickly, mostly because of the ice on the pass, we took customs from us, 30 minutes and already at 3 o'clock in the morning we were in Demänovska Dolina. Do not forget to buy the Slovak Vignette (fee for the road) at any refueling - the minimum term for which it is offered - 10 days and costs 10 euros.

It is clear, ski rental, the cost of ski passes, prices in restaurants.

There are several rental items. Some right under the lifts - others just below near the parking lot. The cost is different by 30-40%. At the same time, the quality of skis and burgards is almost the same. Ask at the hotel - if they have an agreement with rolling on discounts. In our case, it saved 10%. Ski rental for two days - 19 euros per person.

In clear, there is a so-called GOPASS card, which gives you the opportunity to pass without a queue, discounts on food in restaurants on the mountain, etc. - Read on the spa website, it may make sense to take advantage of a long stay.
Prices in all restaurants on the slopes are approximately the same and not cheap. Standard European (as in Austria, Italy or France - not to be confused with Switzerland). Snack for one - 15-20 euros.

Clear, low tatras, Slovakia. What I liked.

Two days was sunny weather with small clouds. Types opened simply mischievous. Just for the sake of these species, it is worth going on a day or two. A transition was opened on one side of the mountain to another, although Bully is solid. The tracks are prepared, are recreated, many of them are already open and not many people. Most routes are not long and not difficult. For two days - quite!
There is a sufficient number of different high-level trails, sane accommodation prices and ski equipment rental.

A trip to the low tatras is clear. What did not like.

Snow, in the majority, artificial - in the morning solid and iced, to dinner wet and chick. On the hopper, the wind blew off all the snow and the tracks on the descent closed, you can go - but many stones. If I did not ride a rolling skis - I would regret myself. After dinner on Sunday, a dense fog got down, the temperature fell and the snow went under the evening. I am sure that from Monday, those who remained everything was much more fun.
