"For a long time, it will dream to dream, will dream from these stuffed firings, the blue eyes of ozp will dream of the blue eyes.". Gyn V.

Always when I left or came home, in Karelia, I was accompanied by this song. In the train, it always includes. I remembered her often when I lived in other countries - in France, and then in Tunisia. In this small quit, the nature of Karelia is described. These are forests, lakes ("Lambushki" so called small, forest lakes), swamps, rivers, waterfalls, rocks.

I grew up from the forests of Karelia, so I am not afraid to go there. They are native for me. There are wild animals: wolves, chanterelles, hares and bears. It was the Bear that was drawn on the coat of arms of the Republic of Karelia, as the personification of her nature. When we went berries, we met one little bear in Malik. I saw both hares and chanterelles in the forests. My grandmother saw and wolves, which are crying in the surroundings in the surrounding area.

Karelia is the northern region. Summer here is short - only two months (and sometimes one month) - July and August. Yes, and in these two months the sky is often tightened with clouds, and they are discharged with rain. Therefore, in Karelia, each resident receives the "Northern" to his salary, since the weather conditions are far from soft here.

How to get?

You can reach Karelia from Moscow by plane, as Petrozavodsk - the capital of the region - has its own airport "Bezovez". By train or bus, too, it is also easy to get to Petrozavodsk or other major cities in Karelia and from Moscow, and from St. Petersburg.

On the car, is also not a problem, but note that the roads are here, most of the best, leave the best.

Plane

From Domodedovo Airport, in Moscow, planes are sent to Petrozavodsk. Flights are offered by Rusline, on the site of which you can easily buy tickets or. Their price is different from the tariff - from 4 185 to 13,885 RUB. For 1 hour 40 minutes you will reach Petrozavodsk.

Airplanes arrive at Besovez Airport, from which only 40 minutes can be reached to the city of Petrozavodsk. To do this, you can take a bus or take a taxi. The first trip will cost only 40 rubles, and on the second - from 500-600 rubles. By bus you will reach the bus station, in Petrozavodsk. This is almost the city center. Nearby is the stop of public transport, from where you can leave at any end of the city.

From St. Petersburg, aircraft to Petrozavodsk do not fly.

By train

And from Moscow, and from St. Petersburg trains to Petrozavodsk and other major cities in Karelia are departed. To Petrozavodsk, they go often and the choice among them is more. Other cities can be reached, but trains there are more strict schedule. They go on certain days and in a particular time.

What trains when and how much time on the way you will spend to Petrozavodsk, if you choose the option by train, - about all this is told in

They come to the railway station. It is located in the city center.

Flip buses to Petrozavodsk walk only from St. Petersburg. The ticket costs about 1,000-1 050 RUB. They are departed from the bypass canal and the Northern Bus Station. On the way you will spend eight and a half or 11 hours.

In Petrozavodsk, they arrive at the bus station, which is located just 10-15 minutes from the city center.

Car

By car you can easily reach any city in Karelia. About how to do to Petrozavodsk, I wrote many roads in the region of very poor quality.

And if you are going to some village or a small town, then you will be there already and not the road, and some kind of a miserable similarity.

Ferry

Sea transport in Karelia is developed from time immemorial. This is the edge of lakes and rivers. And the lake Onega is the second largest reservoir in Europe, after Lake Ladoga.

The largest ports in Karelia are Kem and Belomorsk. As the city on the shore of the lake, also has its own river port.

Cruises come from St. Petersburg and Moscow from St. Petersburg and the city. They are not suiced - from 20,000 RUB, but this price already includes food and excursion service.

When is the season? When is it better to go?

Many tourists who are going to Karelia have an illusion that, having arrived here in the summer, they will choose the best season due to heat. Must be disappointed. Summer in Karelia is short and, as a rule, with alternating cold and hot days. It rains often. In the forests are full of mosquitoes and other insects.

When should I go? It all depends on your plans and what you plan to do. Want to valaam or? Come in early June or September. Is there a desire to fuse on kayaks or rafts on our rivers? Then it is better to go in early May, since at this time the water rises in rivers and ride on the thresholds is one pleasure.

Go to a simple hiking campaign? Then June, July and August - the ideal months to visit our region.

Winter is also not the worst time to come here. Here is very beautiful in winter! When the snow covers everything around. You can ski, skating or snowboarding.

Choose the arrival time depending on the purpose of your trip. For me, Karelia is beautiful in any season.

Republic of Karelia in the summer

Summer in Karelia begins from mid-June, and not always. Sometimes it is late in our territories and comes only in early July. And by the middle of August, cold weather begins.

In June, the temperature can only be 10 degrees of heat. On some days it falls below zero. At the very beginning of the month, the snow can also go.

In June, ticks wake up. This is one of those times when they are particularly active. If you are driving into the forest, then here is my advice: Leave short shorts and topics at home. All skin must be closed. Long pants or jeans + warm sweatshirt over T-shirts - the best option. The sweatshirt can be removed if it is cold, but at night she does not hurt.

In July, very hot days are issued - up to +25 degrees. Sometimes there are thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail. At night and in the evening it becomes cool, so the jacket or warm sweater will not hurt.

Augustus will also please you with warm days, but by the middle of the heat is no longer worth waiting. It becomes cooler - up to +10. By the end again comes another period of tick activity.

Republic of Karelia in autumn

In early September you will be pleased with the "Indian Summer". The temperature holds +15 or even +20. It lasts just a week (plus-minus a couple of days). Then the rains begin. The temperature is already +5 or 0 degrees. By the end of the month, the same Golden time begins, which was so admired by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.

October is an even more magical time when, passing through the park or forest, you will see the trees whose leaves are of a wide variety of coloring - from gold to reddish-bugs. I liked this time. You can still go to the campaign in October, but you need to dress very warmly.

In November, the first snow falls. This is the period that I can't stand in Karelia, "the snow falls, then he melts, and slush everywhere. The same cycle begins next. Air temperature 0 and falls even lower. Can go and ice rain with snow. In the northern regions of Karelia, the weather is even worse.

Republic of Karelia Spring

In March, the snow is still around in Karelia. Winter in full swing and is not going to leave. Air temperature -25 degrees. It can be slightly higher or lower. Frost on the street stands the same strong. Snow sometimes drops large flakes.

In April, the snow begins to sinkly melt. I hate this time in Karelia, as on the streets around the streets - dirt, slush, huge puddles of water. At the beginning of the month, the temperature is -15 or -10. By the middle it rises to 0, and by the end +5. Sometimes it can snow.

In May, it's still cold. Temperature 0, and sometimes +5, +10. Snow in the forests still lies and melts very slowly. In cities by the end of the month he almost completely disappears. On May 1 or 9, it is still very cold. I remember that at that time it went out in a warm jacket and even a sweater.

Republic of Karelia Winter

In December, it often falls on snow and swelling blizzards. Temperature day 0 / -10. In the evening she is still down. In early December, the snow falls, it immediately melts. Then the cooling begins again, which is why the puddles formed from the snow freeze, turning the streets into a real skating rink.

January - Cold, White and Frosty. "Frost and sun - a wonderful day." So you can describe this month. You can already ski, as the snow cover it allows. Day temperature -25, -20 degrees. Streets sprinkle with sand, but not everywhere. You need to go carefully.

In February, the strongest frost begin when they don't even want to show the nose. The temperature reaches -30 degrees of frost. Something can be -35. You need to dress warmly. I always walked at this time dressed as cabbage. Because otherwise you will quickly freeze. Of the advantages - to ski or skating.

Conditional areas. Descriptions and features

Since Karelia is the edge of lakes and rivers, then the main tourist areas are related to the reservoirs - the shore of the Lake Lake, the shore of the lake, the shores of the White Sea.

Ladoga and her shores

  • Near the shores of Ladoga is the place famous for all Karelia and abroad - "Ruskeala". The beauty of these places is just captures. We traveled three times there. The road goes past lakes and forests. There are a lot of rocks in this region. Next to the "Ruskeal" are the famous Russian waterfalls.

  • From significant cities in this region can be visited. This is a small town on the border with Finland. There is a beautiful park where it is so nice to walk. This is the city of my childhood, where I spent my holidays. He is familiar to me. He is small but cozy.

  • Another interesting city - Pitkyaranta. The international tourist route passes through it - the blue road. He connects Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. It was called it because it runs along the lakes and rivers.

  • Not far from Lacdenproke is the famous Island of Valaam, where the male monastery is located. Once I was there. This is a very beautiful place. And the monastery of snow-white color perfectly fits into the shared landscape of the island.

  • Here is the Olonetsky State Natural Reserve. This is a reserve, in which many typical representatives of the Karelian forest live in the territory. A visit is possible only by organized tourist groups.

Onega and her shores

  • On the shore of the lake spread out my hometown -. This is the capital of Karelia. Come there in the period of "White Nights". You can walk around the city and afternoon, and at night, with full light. In our city there are many parks, gardens, museums and fountains. Be sure to go to the embankment - there collected a whole collection of gifts from Petrozavodsk cities in the form of various sculptural compositions. I wrote separately about them

  • From Petrozavodsk, ships are sent to one of the pearls of Onega Lake - the island. It can be safely attributed to the list "Must See" in Karelia. Three times I was there, but I would like to go there again. I wrote about the quiz.

  • From Petrozavodsk, in an hour's ride is the city of Kondopoga. He is also on the shore of Onega. Small town. It can be driven in minutes 20. What's interesting here? In the city itself - nothing, but in its surroundings - yes. Reserve "Kivach" or "Martial Waters". They will be discussed below.

Beach of the White Sea

  • This is already a completely different region of Karelia, with its energy. From large and interesting cities here you can bring Kem or Belomorsk. Very famous for the village of Worker Ostrovsk, where they filmed the film "Island". From there, ships go to Solovetsky Islands. They are written in detail.

  • Along the entire shore of the White Sea, small villages and villages are crushed. Where the life and traditions of the peoples of the North - Pomorov, etc. preserved. Coast there is rocky, but surprisingly beautiful.

  • In the vicinity of Belomorsk there are famous petroglyphs on a demonic nose. These are drawings of ancient people who are dating from the IV-III millennium to our era. They show how they lived and what kind of thinking was our ancestors.

What are the prices for rest?

Petrozavodsk prices will not seem high, compared to St. Petersburg or Moscow:

  • The hotel or hotel will cost you from 1500 to 3000 RUB. In the tourist season, and this is summer, accommodation prices are rising. The hostel will stop cheaper - from 500-600 RUB.
  • You can rent a room or even an apartment. The first will cost you thousands of 5000 - 7000 RUB, and the second - from 10 000 - 15,000 and higher. These are the prices without paying utilities and the Internet (this is still plus 2000 - 3000 RUB). Select and book accommodation is convenient for. Check Prices for apartments are available, and compare the cost of rooms in hotels.

  • Lunch in a restaurant or cafe will be released in rubles 500-600 RUB, and drinking coffee or tea on the road with buns - a maximum of 200-300.
  • Excursions are in different ways - from 5000 RUB. It all depends on the travel agency, which you choose them.

Main attractions. What to watch

Moving around Karelia is best on the car, as not to all attractions can be reached by buses or trains.

In Karelia, a huge number of natural attractions. Although many enterprises, factories and firms are hardly working to finally destroy the nature of Karelia, she persistently tolerates all the blows of fate - cutting down the forest, the destruction of animals and fish, etc.

Top 5.

In the top 5 attractions of Karelia, I would include these places: Kizhi Island, Island, Ruskeala, Panaarvi National Park and maritarian waters with a waterfall Kivach.

Kizhi Island

This is a pearl in the Crown of Karelia. Green island, which attracts tourists from around the world. The wooden churches of the Kizhi have long become a business card of Karelia. From Petrozavodsk, "Comets" and "Meteoras" are sent there - special vessels, which are delivered to tourists to the island.

It is divided into separate sectors, so it is convenient to visit, discovering the life and traditions of the peoples of Karelia. To inspect everything, you will need one day. About the towns written in detail

Balaam Island

When we sailed to Valaam, I saw the white building of the monastery among the trees. I was only once there and for a short time. But still I remember my impressions of this place. A monument of Russian architecture - Valaam Monastery - delights everyone who saw him. Blue dome with reddish walls on the background of gray rocks - that's what is a monastery.

In addition to him, there are many other beds on the island that are hiding among the trees and rocks.

Ruskeala

This is a huge mountain park, which is located in the marble canyon, where marble was earlier for the construction of some historical monuments in St. Petersburg. We were there with the family several times - about three times in the summer and once in winter.

It is easy to find it - it is not far from the city, so you need to move towards this city, and then turn on the sign to "Ruskeal".

Next to the park there is parking where you can leave the car. Opposite her souvenir shops are located. After buying tickets, you can start the route. He goes along the lake, which is inside the canyon. The tourist trail is indicated by signs, and steep cliffs have fences and warning signs.

The path passes through one gallery and past underground lake. After walking the walk, you can make an excursion by boats. For 4-5 people, one boat with two oars is issued + life jackets on all passengers. This is completely different - see the marble canyon from the water. You can inspect at the same time and other gallery, but also only with water. It is impossible to enter inside.

For Extreme Lovers, there is an opportunity to enjoy climbing or fly over a marble canyon on special gear.

Next to the park, just a minute of 20 driving from it, there are waterfalls called Ruskeal. Their visit is free, but it is very interesting to walk there.

National Park "Paanairvi"

If you dream about the place where you can retire with nature, then Panaarvi Park is just what you need. Waterfalls, purest rivers and lakes, mountains - everything can be found here. And you can drink water straight from the reservoirs! So she is clean! "There is a trace of unknown animals on the unknown paths." In the park lives many animals and follow them.

On the territory of the park there is a place for camping, sauna, etc. Employees of the park will be happy to help you if you need their help.

It is not easy to get there, as part of the road leading to the park is primer, so it can be long and heavy.

Martens and Waterfall Kivach

I did not accidentally combine them in one attraction. Most of the excursions offered to the Kivachi waterfall immediately implies a trip to maritarian waters. This is due to the fact that they are close to each other. Therefore, it is very convenient - to kill two hares at once.

The Kivachn reserve includes two waterfall and a small park with an eco-mea, which represented the stuffed in those animals that live in Karelian forests. I was there in the summer, and in winter. It is better to come in the summer, because in the winter there is very cold, and the paths are made bad - you can slip and fall. In the summer there are beautiful landscapes. Nearby there is parking.

Martial waters are a balneological resort, which still appreciated Peter first. There are sources with different water - iron, nitric, weak-mineralized. Each individual source is in its wooden house. There is a sign with the designation, from which diseases this water helps. It can be drunk in certain quantities. You can take it with you, but it can not be kept for a long time - it can stand for a day.

With maritarian waters, there is a small museum, where the history of the founding of this resort is told. There is also a sanatorium with the same name, where you can undergo a course of treatment for a fee.

Beaches. What better

Beaches near the White Sea - pebble or dodged with boulders. Rarely where there will be a beaches with soft, white sand. The White Sea is the Sea North, so it never heats up enough to swim there. In July, the shore and a little further, it will be warm, but in August or June - already cool.

On Onega Lake Beaches - better. There are more commonly real beaches with clean white sand - you need to know the places and that's it. On the road from Petrozavodsk, such beaches are found in Sortavala. Many of others - with stones. When entering into the water, be careful because the bottom can be littered with boulders or garbage.

The shore of Ladoga is in many ways as shore of Onega.

Churches and temples. What are you worth a visit

Finland

With this country, Karelia has a lot of common - from history to nature. Many of my friends or acquaintances moved there. According to them, ride in Finland, as a tourist is good, but live there for a Russian person - very boring. What to see in Finland?

I was in, and he seemed to me a very boring city. The center there seems to be sought from Peter, and you do not even feel that you are abroad. But shopping malls are really impressive there. According to the reviews of acquaintances, go well to go to Lapland to go skiing.

Arkhangelsk region

The border with this area is in the east of the region. If Karelia is North, then the Arkhangelsk region can be called "North-North". Minus temperatures there are even lower than in Karelia in the winter.

It is to this area that the Solovetsky Islands include, and not to Karelia, as some believe. I wrote about Solovki at all, the north is a special land, where they act alone, but honest and fair rules.

Murmansk region

In this area I was twice. Twice visited the city that I really liked. About the area I have left memories, as an infinite white desert (because I was there in the winter).

Huge spaces, without any vegetation, lakes and snow - that's what you see when you go beyond Murmansk. We must not forget about the polar night. I watched this phenomenon - in the afternoon it happens lightly just a couple of hours, and then immediately solid darkness.

Leningrad region

Pearl of the region, the favorite brainchild, -. But this is not the only thing that can be seen there. I went hiking in the Leningrad region. We descended on kayaks, and on the boats on the river quiet, with access to Ladoga.

I was impressed very much! It, like the sea, can be restless and noisy, and maybe you can beat the waves about the shore. On the shores of the lady come across very beautiful places - beaches with white, soft sand. River quiet - unusually picturesque, especially from water.

Vologodskaya Oblast

In the capital of the region - Vologda - I had a chance to visit a sightseeing tour of the city. I was only on the embankment of the Volga River and on Square nearby. We were given a couple of hours to inspect the temple located on it.

If you rise to the very top, then from there opens just a delightful view of the whole city! The region itself was driving on the bus, and I noticed that he was all green in the forests.

Nearby Isles

Among Karelia islands are the most popular - Kizhi and, which I wrote above. On Onega Lake, Ladoga and the White Sea there are many other small islets, but they are not as interesting as the first two.

Food. What to try

Karelia's national cuisine is fully based on the most common and affordable food products. Karelia influenced the peoples living here - Weps, Finns, etc.

One of the typical dishes of Karelia is wickets - cakes made from rye flour, which is wrapped with potato mashed potatoes. The edges are smeared with oil to make them softer. This is delicious!

Karelian dishes are prepared on the basis of lake fish, mushrooms and berries. As for meat, Karelia did not eat fresh deer meat or moose, but dried it and sues it to be kept longer.

Karelia influenced the kitchen and the one was adopted in the middle lane of Russia. Ordinary, peasant dishes - "soup yes porridge - our food", as they say.

For tourists in Karelia, there are decent restaurants in which the national cuisine can also be tried. The price tag will be released in 600-800 RUB for 1 person. Since tourists from Finland often come to Karelia, the restaurants are trying to maintain at the appropriate level. There is clean and neat.

In stores buy products at reasonable prices. On 1000 RUB, you can buy a lot of only 1 person. Vegetables and fruits are better to buy there too. I have not seen the markets for a long time anywhere. Fruits or vegetables are still selling in benches near the roads, but it is better not to buy them there, as prices there are very high.

Features mentality

For residents of Karelia, as for any people of the North, are characterized by restraint and relative non-modesty. On the streets, people rarely smile unfamiliar, and express their emotions of Skupo. Do not be surprised to this. People here are calm and simple. They can be cheerful and cheerful. Just not everyone show it.

Holidays

National holidays in Karelia have set several, but they are all almost not celebrated. The same day of the Republic of Karelia, which is officially celebrated on June 8, passes almost imperceptibly in the capital - Petrozavodsk. Of the big holidays: the days of the city, which in every city pass in different ways. On May 1 and May 9, salutes are arranged in Petrozavodsk, and the action "Immortal Regiment" is held on the second one.

Security. What to beware is worth

In my opinion, Karelia is a safe area. There are general rules here - do not walk at night, comply with general security rules.

In the summer, if you go on rafting on rivers, then fulfill the requirements of instructors that will accompany you. This is not a simple walk, but refers to the category - an extreme sport. Therefore, do not neglect what instructors tell you.

In the forest, Karelia is better to go as part of the tourist group, as one or one you can get lost. Moreover, wild animals are found here - bears, deer and moose. By the way, they are under the protection of the state, so that shoot them is prohibited. Even if you happen to someway on the road, you will have to pay a fine for it.

Things to do

On the territory of Karelia many rivers with the thresholds of different categories of complexity. Therefore, there is an ideal place for rafting, alloy on kayaks or catamarans. Travel companies offer alloys for 8,000-9,000 RUB for several days. There is more expensive - it all depends on what time you want to go to such a campaign.

Another option is to just go to the campaign - to the Mount of the Vottovoyar or the Volcano Girvas. A travel agencies also have different proposals - from 4,000 - 5,000 RUB, depending on the number of days. It is very nice to stay alone with nature and take a break from all the benefits of civilization.

Winter come to us to go skiing! We, of course, are not, but Nature is pure and pristine! Ski rental will cost you only at RUB 300 per day, but this is what a pleasant feeling is to hear how skiing across the snow.

Another entertainment in winter is kissing - driving dogs. A fascinating trip can last from 15 to 20 minutes. For the price it costs from 800 to 2000 RUB.

Shopping and shops

In the capital of Karelia - Petrozavodsk - many large shopping centers, where many brands of clothing brands sell, which are throughout Russia: Mango, Concept Club, etc. Since it's very close here, then there are many shops or second-hand chandes around the region selling clothes from Finland. Prices - from 500 RUB.

Bars

For me, the coolest bars - in Petrozavodsk. Although in recent years, others often open and others close. The establishments are constantly changing, so I don't even risk advise you something specific. Who knows - maybe after 2-3 months it closes?

In the rest of the cities of Karelia, there are bars, but there is some standard set of services. It looks more like beer or "swam", as in St. Petersburg.

Clubs and nightlife

About clubs, I would say all the same as I wrote about bars from above. In Petrozavodsk there is a couple of good clubs. For example, VKontakte is such a club in the city center. He persistently tolerates heavy, crisis years. I really like the design there - telephone booths of red, old telephone sets on the walls and a huge SUV right at the dance floor! Login - 200-300 RUB.

There are clubs in the rest of Karelian cities, but they are the simplest and idle. Something like rustic discos.

Extreme sports

Extreme sport is rafting or alloy on catamarans on the rivers of Karelia.

Souvenirs. What to bring as a gift

When you go to the store of souvenirs or come to the souvenir shop, then your eyes will simply scatter from a variety. What can be brought from Karelia?

Careline Birch products are caskets, a mirror, comb, jewelry. They smell very tasty and the quality is not bad. Prices - from 200 RUB.

Products from shungitis. It is believed that shungite, like a stone, has healing properties. I do not know how true it is, but by themselves, they are beautiful. They possess special, deep black. Very beautiful beads from shungitis, but they may seem heavy. Their price is from 300 RUB.

Towels, tag, aprons with Karelian embroidery. It is easy to distinguish from any other. It is performed with red threads, and is patterns or scenes from straight lines. The curved or arc lines - there is almost no. Cost - from 150 RUB.

If we talk about edible souvenirs, you can grab a couple of blueberry jams or clouds jam. Blueberry, Lingonberry, Poroshka - All this berry is growing in abundance of Karelia swamps. And what jam are boiled! Price - from 100 RUB.

And how not to remember here about the famous Karelian Balzam! From other alcoholic, Karelian drinks you can buy tincture on local berries - cranberries or clouders. Prices - from 450-500 RUB.

How to move around the region

Between cities, a bus service is carried out. In most part, it is still old "loaf" or buses today, but worn. There are trains, but they go on a specific schedule - sometimes 1-2 times a day or at all for certain days a day.

From Petrozavodsk, excursions are organized in Kondopoga or sorting with visiting the surrounding attractions. They cost from 5,000 RUB. These are bus tours.

Taxi. What features exist

Between cities you can move on a taxi, but it is not very convenient. Distances are too big and you will have to pay gasoline and the work of the taxi driver, but also his accommodation, if necessary.

Order best of all official services, as you go on the travelers and expensive, and dangerous.

Pay taxis only in cash. Maps are not accepted.

Public transport

As I wrote above, from public transport to your services - trains or buses. The train tickets are from 1500 RUB. This is a reserved seat. There are seats - they cost only 500 RUB. The train is inconvenient to go, because he has its own schedule to which you need to adapt to the rest.

Buses - Old. Until now, "Buanka" goes from Petrozavodsk in small surrounding cities. When you're going to them, then it seems that they are now broken apart. The price of a bus trip cheaper - from 1000 RUB. But if the city distant from Petrozavodsk is to go to them, then the trip will seem very heavy to you.

Transport rental

In cities I have not seen special offices for renting vehicles. In one can find anything. Rent a car is not too practical, as the remote areas of the republic are not too safe for movement. And the roads in Karelia are bad, so how would you then do not have to pay too much for rent.

Karelian roads were built, as they say, according to the principle: "How drunk meter drove." Turns, turns, ugubs - just not to read. For such roads, not something to go, but stop.

Hotels and places for parking are found, but rare. There is a good hostel next to Ruskeal. It is called "Kirya". This is a cool hostel! Many hotels and hostels are distinguished by building from wood. These are wooden houses that are not bad and winter. Not far from Ruskeala, in winter, there is another hostel in which we stayed in winter. I remember that there was a fireplace in the lobby, and the room is small, but very cozy. Price per room - from 1500 RUB per day.

Republic of Karelia - Rest with children

With children, you can safely go to the Kivach waterfall or Kizhi. In Ruskeal, you can also go with them. They will like it exactly! Ride the boats, jump from the cliff on the rock - it is very exciting for them!

On Valaam, it is better to go with older teenagers, as little children will be bored there, and they are not enough that they will remember from this trip.

Ski rest

In Karelia, you can ski, but there are no special, organized trails in the region. In Petrozavodsk, there is a "Kurgan" place, where ski rental (from 300 RUB). There will be organized routes. It is necessary to walk around the region only on special skiing, as the tracks will not be there.

In the north-western region of Russia there is an amazing area of \u200b\u200bthe Beauty - Republic of Karelia. In addition to the natural beauty of forests, lakes, waterfalls, Karelia is famous for its ancient cities, temples and monasteries, as well as national parks.

Despite the fact that this edge of Northern Nature does not differ in a warm climate, more and more tourists arrive here every year, each of which necessarily finds something interesting for themselves.
