A ticket to the Emirates was bought from Anex tour... Unfortunately, the adventure began with the arrival at the hotel. We arrived on schedule, around 14:00, customs and baggage claim took 30 minutes. But they took us here from the airport for 4 hours, because the hotel is located on the opposite side of the road from the airport and the driver did not want to turn around, we traveled with all the tourists , who lived much further than our hotel and the maximum 2 hours promised by the tour operator turned into 4. When, upon exiting the bus, we were indignant that we were going first in one direction and then in the other, the guide from anexa said that if we were not satisfied, we could take a taxi, but she told us that it would take a long time ...
When the tour was purchased, the Village Rotana was said to be a new building within Rotana Cove itself, just built further from the main buildings, in fact it turned out to be a building built outside Rotana, between it and the eight-lane freeway.
At the hotel, we ended up around 18:00, we settled us directly into building 97 (this building is located almost next to a busy highway and therefore it is very noisy even with closed windows). A couple of days later, we came to the reception and, having voiced the problem of noise in the room, asked us to move, the manager Dinara agreed with us and moved to room 9221 on the same evening. And here our even greater adventures began ... there is not much noise here, but still less, but with hot water problems began. If you come to the room after 18 00, then she simply is not. We called the reception, a plumber came to us and after 30 minutes they gave us water, so 2 days passed. When we approached the reception to the same Dinara and voiced the problem of lack of water in the morning at 9 o'clock and in the evening after 18:00, we were again offered to move .... we did not really want to move with three suitcases and two small children once again and we asked if it was possible to somehow solve the problem with water, we were promised that yes, perhaps - there was water for a couple of days. But then it all started over again - we come from the beach, call about the lack of hot water, a plumber comes to us, wait 40 minutes for it to be turned on. And everyone is extremely surprised that this is not ... now everything will be ... and so on for a week ... romance. The guides from Anex (Natalia and Lenar) advised us to contact the reception (as if we hadn’t done this ...) and threw up their hands. As it turned out, not only on our floor unexpectedly hot water runs out, as we ran into a neighbor in the corridor, who had to run to the reception, soaped in a towel, because she could not get through. And this hotel is declared as 5 * ....
It has its own dining room (I can’t call it a restaurant) with a small selection of dishes. The food is delicious, but there is no question of any seafood, what is called seafood here is a sauté of fish and a couple of shrimp if you're lucky. From meat almost every day a poorly fried steak (this is not for everybody's taste, I don’t eat meat with blood ..), a couple of types of chicken, duck once a week. From fruit melons, oranges, pineapples, if you have time, then watermelons, they almost instantly end and change oranges))
In the morning, for breakfast, in a tunic for the beach or a sleeveless shirt, you may not be allowed to enter the restaurant, we had to go to change)))
Waiters do not like to move tables on the veranda (it is not convenient for them to walk) and if you are offered by a large company to sit down separately, after our abrupt refusal, after grinding their teeth, the table was still organized. The waiters there, in principle, are not the most polite and walked around with the look that we should ... bring a kettle with tea for breakfast, which was already on someone's table and there was nothing left there - this is normal. At lunchtime, tables are not served on the veranda, only in the restaurant.
During the last week of rest, our dining room was closed and we went to eat at the Cove Rotana restaurant, I can't say that the food there was very different from ours. The restaurant is an order of magnitude larger, yes, there are dishes that are prepared in your presence, and everything else is the same.
There are no usual evenings with different cuisine, the food is monotonous.
From beer from St. Petersburg Carlsberg and imported Beks, spirits are all local. Ultra Al Inclusive cocktails are very limited in assortment.
The ice cream, which was so advertised by the guide, is given only to children, is fruit ice with caustic paint, which then does not wash out in the pool for about 20 minutes.
My daughter and I had a birthday, as a gift from the hotel they give a small cake and decorate the bed with an inscription.
In the evenings, there is simply nothing to do here, there is no animation for children or adults. A couple of times there was D.J.'s girlfriend. There is a kids club until 18:00, but you need to be there, you just need to take a coloring and you can't leave - they don't give it))) on the territory of Rotana Cove in the evenings we saw a couple of times how children turned on cartoons on a projector, in English, invited our people to join.
There is nowhere to go outside the territory, the hotel stands along a busy highway with incessant traffic day or night. There is no way to cross it, just take a taxi. The maximum you can walk to the gas station on the left side of the hotel, we went there for ice cream in the evenings (5-15 dirhams), in the hotel the same thing is sold on the beach at 2 times more expensive. There you can also buy sliced \u200b\u200bfruit, tried it - did not like it.
The territory is very large and beautiful - this is both a plus and a minus. To the beach about 20 minutes on foot, the road along which you go to the beach with busy traffic, there are a lot of cars and buggies of the hotel itself. You can also wait for a car that will take you to the beach for about 20 or even 30 minutes ((therefore, when leaving the room, it's better not to forget anything))
The beach bar starts working at 11 am, before that you can only take a bottle of water there, all other drinks from 11 and not a minute earlier). You can have a snack at the bar only at lunchtime, the rest of the time the maximum that can be offered to you is nuts and chips.
There are generally problems with a bite to eat, no cookies, sandwiches, pancakes and anything like that are usual for all inclusive, food only during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We were a little unlucky in terms of the sea, this year there are a lot of blue stinging jellyfish. A couple of times we didn't even swim in the sea, we had to go to the pool. Although the water in the evening in the sea is very warm and if there are no jellyfish, then swimming is a pleasure. The beach for children is comfortable, the sand and quite shallow, especially at low tide.
When buying a tour, the manager praised the hotel, saying that this is an excellent 5 and our vacation will not be forgotten "in the emirates they do not speak, they sing there and any of your wishes are quickly fulfilled." Something we did not notice ... We really do not forget the vacation, but alas, not on the positive side. The hotel does not even reach the Greek or Cypriot 4. About 5 I generally keep quiet. And with such an attitude of Anexa and the local hotel staff to vacationers, the desire to return to this hotel is completely absent.
I will add about the excursions. I do not advise the guides. Expensive and generally (((went for furs and leathers, they said to go 40 minutes (which was important because we had a child) and a large selection. The result, drove 1.5 hours, brought to 1 store. There is nothing else. He is in a vacant lot. Better take private trips. On excursions to Dubai they will promise dinner with seafood - do not believe it. Dinner g is complete. We did not have a transfer and it was expensive to get a taxi to a rather remote hotel on our own. The place cannot be called secluded, but only remote. Those. there are no advantages to privacy, but there are disadvantages to distance. The nearby coastline is good for walking on the sand, but there are many local people who practice extreme driving there. There are no settlements nearby where you can eat. We only had breakfasts, when we had to buy at least dinners, it turned out very expensive. I had to go to a gas station, there SabWay with expensive sandwiches that I didn't really want to eat. Thank you for asking the taxi driver to stop and buy mangoes from roadside vendors on the way to the hotel.

The hotel has a wonderful territory, cozy and comfortable. Everything is thought out for the convenience of guests. Our room was located on the ground floor in a separate building, the terrace overlooked the lawn. It was pleasant to enjoy the scent of tropical vegetation. The room is spacious, the mattress and pillows are comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious. There is a shuttle bus to Fujairah, which you need to sign up for. Pools are heated according to mood (or on weekends when the hotel fills up with locals ??). The water temperature varied from 23 to 27 degrees. In February I would like to count on 27. Every day. In the bathroom of the room upon check-in, there was a terrible musty smell, it was impossible to enter ((At first they hoped to disappear. On the second day we went to the reception with this problem morally preparing to move to another room. But the problem was solved easier - the workers came and, sort of, from which -then technological holes were removed, the stench disappeared.

Great hotel for beach holiday with kids. Clean beach, comfortable entry into the water, clear ocean water. Pools. Very well maintained area. There were plenty of sun beds around the pools and on the beach. Excellent breakfast. Parking with awnings. Clean comfortable rooms. Convenient extra bed for a child. Excellent view from the room to the hotel grounds and the ocean. Balcony with armchairs and table. The animation team (Katya and Diana) try to make the rest active (volleyball, darts, boccia, yoga, stretching ...). Second time in this hotel. Compared to the last time, only the cleanliness in the room remained at a high level. The second danger is at the beach when the tide is out. We really didn't like it. For 10 days it was 3 times that they fried shrimp and fish on the street, served lobsters and oysters. True, they had a very big Muslim holiday, Eid al-Adha, which lasts 3 days, so I will not say in the rest of the weeks they also feed like that or not. It was a Mexican evening - when it was not possible to eat, everything was in Chile. Sushi and a lot of Indian-Thai food were constantly provided. Soups - solid soup of broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes - and all this is powder, from instant bags. Desserts in small such spread out plastic plates and glasses, a portion of 2 cm by 2 cm (for one bite), desserts did not change at all in 10 days.
In general, for the entire period of travel, for the first time, we saw that salads and desserts would be packed like this in small plastic, very small plates - this would not eat much;) And they are not disposable !!! Well, in other respects, okay, because it is not tasty.
Rooms are cleaned only by men, in other matters, as the conclusion was removed - bad!
Moving around the territory is possible only by electric cars, we lived in the HOTEL building on level 6, there are only about 12 of them, once we went to the beach on foot it takes about 15 minutes down and 20 minutes ago, because you need to go down a huge mountain. Therefore, all the other 9 days you cannot do without electric cars.
Speaking of entertainment, they had several times a week like a party on the beach with DJs, we went once and realized that it was in vain. There were no people there at all, a couple of men were sitting, Muslim pipes were smoking and that was the whole party. By the way, for some of them the entrance is also paid!
The pools are beautiful, but the pool is very hot, even though the wind blows from the sea on the beach, and the pool is calm. And the water in the sea is 1000 times better than in the pool, and most importantly it is warmer :)
Honestly, the hotel is beautiful, very colorful, in a village-village style for a lot of money - it's not worth it. We were in the OAU 3 times, and were not satisfied!
