Excellent 10.0

Island villa and delicious bunsA wonderful place, for many reasons: 1. The Russian girl at the reception is just lovely! All issues are resolved once or twice. 2. Cozy villa with swing on the balcony and outdoor shower. 3. Quite good breakfasts on the veranda by the sea and just wonderful, amazing, delicious pastries. Highly recommend the small nut-filled buns. I've never tasted better in my life! 4. Fat lizards run wherever they want and please the eye. They also say that bats fly at night, we were looking for them, but we were not lucky. Not a season for them in January, or what? 5. Beautiful territory, whatever the place, the background for a selfie))) 6. A free speedboat goes to the city and back every hour, which is also a joy. Speedboat is awesome! 7. But the pool is stupid - cold, dark, dirty and uncomfortable. On the other hand, the sea is just around the corner. The truth is also cold, opaque and with waves. In general, bathing is like that. In general, I liked the hotel. My baby fell in love with him. Especially because of the personal swing on the balcony :)

Premier Family Room with 1 Double Bed and 1 Single Bed

Excellent 10.0

Magical place We looked for a place for 1 night and chose between MerPerle and Winperl. Not for a second did they regret their choice. This is just a heavenly place! There is a common area with visiting tourists, and there is a private area for guests - this is a continuous photo zone. So many photos were taken, how many were not taken during the rest of the stay in Vietnam. If you want to feel the level, stop at MerPerle for at least 1 day, and you will remember this day for a long time.

Tropical Deluxe Room with Double Bed

Excellent 10.0

relaxation? it's here! This is an incredible place! Great service, a sense of privacy and exclusivity. Silence, sound of waves and birdsong. Lovely new bungalows. Clean beach and pool. Incredible breakfasts. Some trash washed ashore during the day, but the staff cleaned it up immediately. Boats to the "mainland" go every half hour. If you get bored, just 15 minutes and you are already in noisy Nha Trang.

Tropical Deluxe Room with Double Bed

Excellent 10.0

The place where you want to returnAn excellent hotel, the friendly staff will do everything to make you feel comfortable. There are nuances with accommodation in a bungalow, there are two lines. The first line is closer to the beach, but there is noisy from the pool, where music plays during the day. However, if you do not sleep during the day, then it does not matter. The second line is quieter, but from bungalows from 1220 it is decent enough to go to the beach and the restaurant, although you can always call a tuk-tuk and they will take you. In general, only positive impressions of the hotel.

Forestal Deluxe Room with 2 single beds

Excellent 8.4

The hotel is located on an island, the main advantage is the clean beach, minus the restaurantThe main advantage of the Albina hotel, in principle, you will find in the hotel everything you need for accommodation from solitude with your family to a bungalow for two, the main thing is to ask the hotel in advance. Clean beach, Green area, but you won't be able to eat at the restaurant, the choice is scarce, the price does not correspond to the quality, breakfast is more focused on the Chinese, and as you know, rice and any living creatures are edible. No spa, dirty old room, average level of service. There is a boat to the city every hour, then a taxi of 50,000 dong and you are in the Story area. Comparing the price of hotels in the city and Merperle, compare the stuffy anthill, with the need to cross a busy road without traffic lights and swim on the beach in Adler with white clean sand, no grannies with whites and a fresh sea breeze))). Just take your backpack and go to town every other day

Hello friends! I decided to write my first hotel review.
Hello friends!
I decided to write my first review about the hotel and about the rest in general, since I myself chose Vietnam based on reviews and was slightly surprised by the non-matching of what was written in the reviews and what I saw with my own eyes. I ask you not to take everything with harsh criticism, I am writing truthful information for tourists who are used to comfortable rest and are not used to unexpected disappointments.
So, let's begin:
1. General impression.
We were vacationing with friends as married couples, we decided to choose this country because of its sufficient exoticism, normal weather at the time we chose, and, naturally, because of the huge amount of available seafood. The hotel was suggested to us by a travel agency, after looking at the territory, rooms in the photo and reading reviews, we expected to see service, comfort, delights of seafood dishes and a variety of entertainment, now everything is in order:
2. Rooms:
All rooms are bungalows, spacious enough (we rested in a deluxe bungalow), but absolutely not causing a feeling of complete comfort, the room has all the standard options, a large bed, air conditioning (not coping with the heat in August), safe, hairdryer (which is barely - does not dry), TV, free internet (wi-fi at a decent speed, downloaded movies), kettle, refrigerator with minibar (prices do not include 15% service charge and some kind of state tax), in general, everything seems to be like standard, but now about many BUT, all kinds of living creatures such as lizards and cockroaches quietly penetrate into the rooms, if the latter did not frighten us much, they were ready for this, then the lizards constantly swarmed in the roof, which is made of a palm leaf and shit, it was like shit on bed, you are lying to yourself, watching TV or sitting in the internet and then a turd falls from above ... On the bed linen ... I have not seen this anywhere else ... The bathroom is a separate conversation, it is closed from prying eyes, but it is as if on the street, so birds , beetles, wasps, spiders, healthy st Itki and praying mantises with great joy roam there at night, and sometimes during the day. Not very nice, agree ?! After each night, the wife carefully examined the territory of the bathroom for the penetration of new animals.
3. Nutrition:
This is a separate topic, which subsequently worried the male half of our company most of all. We were told about ridiculous food prices in Vietnam, 200 rubles and you are full all day! I'll start with the food in the hotel itself - it's terrible. They don't know how to cook, although the menu is in Russian but translated by a translator in the internet, ribeye steak - rib eye, shrimp on a skewer on the grill - mouse shrimp, rack of lamb - ram's jacket and everything in that spirit. We only included breakfasts, not everyone went to them and not every day, there was a standard small set of a 3-star hotel level in Thailand. The buffet is of an average level, 2-4 drinks, fruits, buns, cakes are very so-so, the fact that the restaurant is open and it was all right on the street did not cause any appetite, and the heat began in the morning and it was hard to eat. Now about the paid part of lunches and dinners at the hotel. The prices are very decent for Vietnam. Eating four of us, without finesse for each dish and something for everyone, 3-7 drinks such as beer and freshly squeezed juice cost us about $ 100, dine for 2 of them $ 35-55. I repeat once again that they cook there either badly or very badly. We ordered scrambled eggs and bacon from the menu, the first time it cost us $ 5, and when we ordered it for the second time the next day, the price went up to $ 7.5, apparently the popularity of the dish automatically increases its price. All prices in the menu, as well as in the mini-bar in the room, are indicated without additional. 15% for service and state. tax. With strong alcohol, too, everything is funny, they took a cube-libre cocktail, the bartender mixed the base beautifully, cola, ice, lime and slightly sprinkled rum on top for taste, I asked how he measured it, by eye or something, I was here it was said that like 45 grams they have a dosage and they poured a cocktail from a measuring pile into the trail. All cocktails are $ 5-7, and very mediocre. 1 more moment about soups at the hotel, tried several, but 1 soup was awarded special attention, they brought it to us in a huge festive pan-dish, everything is beautiful, we open this vessel and inside 5-6 sheets of some greens, broth and 1 pork or beef meatball, divided into many parts for taste. There were not very many seafood delicacies in the hotel, there was a restaurant in the public area supposedly with fresh seafood, when you get shrimp crabs oyster shells from oxygen-enriched aquariums and basins of water and cook, but we did not eat there, as there were rumors of dubious freshness seafood in this place, in the main restaurant there were also aquariums but mostly empty, some fish were swimming in one, but the color of the water in the container did not evoke appetite. I'll tell you about seafood and food in the city at the very end, while I continue about the hotel.
4. Staff and service.
This is a separate story, let's start with the staff. It seems that it was recruited to the hotel based on the fact that the indigenous population would have a rest there, although the hotel was 90% filled with our compatriots, they speak poorly or do not speak English at all, dishes and services sometimes had to be ordered by poking a finger in a booklet or the menu, the staff is boorish and impudent, they sit in the loggias of the bungalows on chairs designed for vacationers and wait until you remove the "do not disturb" sign so that they can clean the room. They do not clean well, wipe them out of the series - where it can be seen, the towels seem to be clean but with stains, did not cause us a special feeling of freshness in the laundry. Bartenders and waiters can openly laugh at you and point a finger at you. Very, very sluggish, but it is unrealistic to keep track of all the junk in the room. We broke a glass, the next day we were instantly charged for it. If you change money at the reception, you may not give another dollar, as if by chance, by chance, if you don’t tell them about it yourself. In short, boorish and staff, and in general the Vietnamese for the most part. In the restaurant, both in the hotel and in the city, the staff yells, loudly among themselves discussing something, regardless of the level of the institution. This is apparently normal with them. When leaving the hotel, they tried to sell us a bill for 5 broken glasses for 2 rooms, referring to the fact that the cleaning lady did not find them, 5 minutes after we checked out of the room, but this situation was resolved. They also tried to deceive a few more of our fellow citizens, to ascribe a stolen umbrella to someone, and broken electronics to someone. Divorce is also normal for them. The first time I saw a maid come with Bellboy to check the room. Someone told us that the hotel owner is a terrible goon.
5. Territory of the hotel and nature
Now I will share my impressions about the territory of the hotel, islands and nature. The territory itself is green, the part that is constantly cleaned in plain sight, but I can't say that it is of high quality (for three days, cups from a women's swimsuit were lying on the track, not far from the reception) well, this is not the most important thing, in general, there is a lot of greenery, flowers grow in small numbers, coconut trees, among them massage gazebos. The beach is almost empty, sun loungers are always free, by the sea they are one hundred percent free, a little higher, on the stone podium they are more often occupied, there people fled in the shade from the heat. The sun loungers are soft, but dirty, you can lie. The sea is clean, but not always, quite often garbage in the form of tubes, napkins, plastic containers and personal hygiene products was hammered in, but you can swim, the water is warm in August, I even wanted a little cooler sometimes. There are two swimming pools on the territory, one for everyone who comes to the island, the second, only for hotel guests. They hardly bathed in the pool, since the water temperature in it was extremely high, like fresh milk. The other, distant part of the territory looks a little neglected, it is watched less well, but we went there only a few times, so this did not bother us much. There is a tennis court, we even played once, the court is good, but it's hard to play - it was too hot, there is a golf course, which looks decent too, but we did not use it. Summing up on point 5, I will say that the hotel, like its territory, is more suitable for people who love a calm, sluggish and boring rest, since there are few people, there are no show programs and in general the hotel is extremely boring. It is possible that someone will like it for a very calm and harmonious holiday with children, but do not forget about food….
Now I will write about the rest of the rest as a whole, a little from myself, moving away from the plan about the hotel, I will write inside and out:
We flew by Vietnamese airlines, from Domodedovo to Nya Chang, the plane is old, Boeing 777, the layout of seats is 2 5 2, from Moscow they fed and served poorly, the second time they gave something like dog food or bad stew, they didn't eat it, they distributed alcohol but little, no one really suggested, you ask, they will give, mostly they took beer. Arrived on time, the airport is small, stuffy and slow, stood in not about an hour or more.
They met us on time, a westline operator, with a local rather weakly Russian-speaking employee, the bus is comfortable, we arrived quickly enough, 40-45 minutes with delivery to 2 more hotels. Further to the pier, we were loaded onto a ship to the hotel, there already by ourselves, without tour operator support. Then I wrote everything about the hotel, now I will write about the rest of the nuances. On the very first evening, we realized that we need to go to the city to eat and buy food and drinks with us too. We bought everything and when we were driving back, at the reception at the pier they found out to us that it was impossible to take a lot of beer and chips with rum to the island, (and what if we sell it there) and like we have to pay extra for it. We decided this moment without additional payment, also, later they wanted to bill us for fruits bought at the local market.
The Vietnamese are simple people, from all over they are trying to cheat on money. We also solved the fruit issue. Now, regarding the taxi, we used a taximeter, on average, we paid from 4-6 dollars per trip. The main topic is where to eat, while eating there we were sure that everything is delicious everywhere and costs 3 rubles. This is an erroneous opinion (I will say based on the experience of the trip, someone may not agree). There are tons of cafes in the city, ranging from hideous-looking eateries on wheels with kerosene tiles to stylized bars and cafes. We ate mainly according to reviews from the Internet, visited several restaurants, the first was a medium-sized restaurant with seafood, a taxi driver took us there at the request to show a good place with seafood, this place is kept by a Vietnamese woman who speaks good Russian, the vidocq at the place is very mediocre, but all the seafood is fresh, everything is in basins, the view is normal, everything is floating, breathing and crawling. I don’t remember the name of the place, but there were a lot of our compatriots, a blue restaurant with red letters in Russian fish and seafood, it seems, is located behind the bridge (approx. Prices per kg. Shrimp 450,000, oysters 180,000, crabs 350-450000, lobster from 1,800,000 per kg .)
They were also praised by local advertising and our tourists from Moscow, a tarantino bar, held by a Russian man, quite nasty and pretentious in a collective farm manner, he meets all Russian guests and tells them how everything is super in his restaurant, for a long time he advertised marble steaks to us. meat, half of which were not available)) I do not recommend this place, expensive, not tasty, loud music, all drunk, strongly reminiscent of Russia, a pub with loud music of an extremely average level.
We went to the Grill Garden restaurant - I really do not recommend it, in the morning with a stomach after eating it was not great.
We were in the Lemongrass cafe, above average, but check the account, they cheat, they bring the bill, put the money, and they bring the change without a check, I forgot how much they should bring, consider that they cheated.
The largest number of times, missing the usual food, visited the American Texas BBQ bar, holds amerikos, steaks are good, delicious, beer is not only local, there is corona, a normal choice of spirits, an average bill of $ 50-65. They ate there with pleasure. We were also in fast foods, KFC, something from the local spill, all for 3-chucks.
Wives went shopping, so I can't write much about it, they bargain badly, unlike India, at least in the city, and the market is not very big. They don't want to drop the price, they are rude, they become impudent. We went to the market, bought fruit, as soon as we got there, two women flew to all points to say that prices should be raised for foreigners. This arrangement surprised me very much, I was in neighboring countries, I did not see this there. For me personally, there was nothing to buy, although I am not a fan of lugging trunks of unnecessary junk with me. You can buy products and skins of a crocodile and python, there are pearls, silver, gold, I don't know anything about the quality.
On the excursion we went only to the waterfall and part-time to the crocodile farm, in general it is normal, nothing special, they took a local guide, it turned out for 4 $ 130, we were satisfied.
We went to Winperl Island, got there by cable car, nice, but nothing special, I think the kids will like it. The amusement park itself is overflowing with local impudent people, who climb first in line, rush, push, yell, piss into the water, yes, just there. We didn’t ride the rides, we took a jet ski, we took a ride down the slides several times, it was painful to climb them barefoot, since the stairs were welded from reinforcement. Local barefoot is no stranger to, they are the main clientele there.
We flew back the same plane as there, the same layout of seats, everyone was worried that there was no duty free shop at the airport, I hasten to reassure you, it is there, a minimum set of 5 perfumes and 10 bottles, but still it is there. We were fed back normally, served attentively and well, but the flight attendants hardly react to the call button.
Summing up, I can say that I didn’t like Nha Chang, I don’t know about the rest of Vietnam, but this tourist area impressed me as an extraordinary, boring resort. An ordinary sea, impudent, not educated people, not attentive staff, poor service, sluggish entertainment, all this does not cause positive emotions. Maybe someone will dispute my review, say that this is a rut, and everything was different for him, but I can say one thing - I do not recommend going there for people who are used to comfort, courtesy and attention, normal food and cleanliness.
P.S. I do not advise you to judge the entire Asia of that region by Vietnam, this is not a reason to refuse a trip to such countries as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

A perfect hotel with an imperfect food system.
Good day to everyone surfing the Internet in search of a potential vacation spot.
We rested in this hotel from December 26 to January 4 as a family - two adults and a teenager.

Overall, I liked everything, except for our meal option. Let's analyze the pros and cons of the hotel.

As for the pros:
1. Location on the island and service.
Lovely hotel, quiet, calm, very green and cozy. Suitable for people looking for privacy, relaxation and silence. Stone-paved paths, bridges, streams, ponds, fountains, quiet relaxing music - all this creates a feeling of harmony, tranquility and unity with nature. Beautiful bungalows, swings, shaved lawns, frangipani flowers - beauty. We were extremely happy that we chose a hotel on the island - far from the bustle of the city. True, we realized this only in the last 3 days, when we started to have a real rest (see cons). We didn’t swim in the pools, we visited the entertainment area once (the crowd was dark), we didn’t go to the SPA, so there’s nothing special to say. There is no animation in the hotel, but we don't need it. The hotel is renovating old rooms and renovating furniture. Currently, two channels are broadcast in Russian - the first and Russia. The Chinese, who are brought on excursions, do not interfere at all - they are mostly in the entertainment area of \u200b\u200bthe hotel. You can only feel the influx of Chinese people in the restaurant, at lunchtime, from 12:30 to 14:00. It is better not to enter the restaurant at this time - you will hardly find a free table. The hotel has a pagoda - an amazing holy place with tremendous energy. When you pass by, the reproduction of mantras starts. Ask Albina, she will show.

2. Free boat.
For those in need of escape into the dynamic world of the city of Nyanchang: for you, the “island-mainland” boat runs every hour. For those who are satiated with the dynamism of the city, the “mainland-island” boat runs every hour;

3. Sea and beach.
The sea is stunningly clear, turquoise in color and in any weather there is no wave at all (compared to the beach in Nha Trang, even in sunny weather). In the morning, rubbish (branches, bags, plastic spoons and glasses) is hammered in, but the beach staff work like bees, they clean everything up in a timely and unobtrusive manner. There are enough sun loungers for everyone and always. The sand is white, very fine and soft. The ebb and flow is slight;

4. Albina.
As mentioned earlier, Albina is the guardian angel of Russian-speaking tourists. On my feet 24 hours a day. Loves and takes care of children. Looking at how she flies around the hotel, we tried not to bother her once again, but to solve the emerging issues on our own (not counting the fact that our son was madly attached to her and went everywhere with his tail). Albina, Thank you!

Now about the cons:
1. Prices for drinks.
All drinks in the hotel are 3-3.5 times more expensive than on the mainland.
2. Power FB.
The biggest disadvantage is the restaurant. More precisely, the food concept provided by the hotel. With your permission, I will dwell on this point in more detail. I must say right away that we are not obsessed with food, but I simply have to provide information for tourists (especially with children) for whom food is important, because I have not seen anything like this in the reviews. The information below will also be important for tourists who visit the hotel "without all inclusive" for the first time. Because it is precisely such tourists on the island who choose full board, or half board, so as not to travel to the mainland for lunch or dinner.
Perhaps I'll start with the background. Choosing a tour, we understood that the concept of catering for most of Vietnam's hotels does not imply "all ..." and "ultra all inclusive", and we, spoiled by Turkish "freebies", gathered for the first time in the country (hotel) where I am eating, you may have to search, wandering the streets and torn from internal contradictions: here to have dinner, or there ... but suddenly around the corner it is more interesting and better. The problem (if you can call it that) was aggravated by the fact that the husband categorically does not eat fish and seafood in any form. In general, we were very afraid of losing weight, apparently, and in order to save ourselves from the torment of choice and completely relax our brain, we bought a tour with three meals a day in a hotel (FB). THIS WAS OUR BIGGEST MISTAKE, THAT REDUCE A LOT OF REST FOR US.

For lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers several food options: buffet, “A la carte” menu, set menu. Why so many types of menu selection, I do not understand. In my, subjective opinion, of course, this causes problems both for hotel guests and creates them for the restaurant staff. Please note: when buying full board, or half board, you will not be offered a buffet, or a certain limit per person for the à la carte menu. You will be offered only a set menu. The set menu is such fixed sets of dishes - salad + first + second + dessert. You cannot change the dishes; what is written on the page will be brought. There are 2 types of set menus: European, which includes 4 such sets, and Asian, consisting of 6 sets. In addition, one Asian set of dishes is designed for 2 people, and the European one is for one person. I will say this: apart from salad, there is practically nothing to eat from the entire set menu. One got the impression that they were preparing from leftovers and scraps. So, if pork was provided in the dish, then you were guaranteed to be brought fried lard without a drop of meat (this did not apply only to pork fillet with pineapple); if the menu included a dish of pork ribs, then only bones, cartilage and the same fat were present in the dish; if boiled / stewed / fried chicken appeared, then among the fillet pieces there were huge pieces of thick and oily chicken skin. The portions are large, but they contain nothing but the salad. From what they brought, more than half remained, because it is impossible to eat. My son and I ate fish and seafood at the very least, but my husband, who does not eat fish or seafood, constantly did not gorge himself and was angry, which did not contribute to complete relaxation and enjoyment of the rest.
Another point: there is a buffet for lunch (mainly for Chinese visitors as part of an excursion), but you (half and full board) cannot use the buffet, because eating from the buffet costs separately 650,000 dong. If you want, pay for the buffet, if you don't want to, eat what you are supposed to. And you are entitled to the notorious set menu, from which there is nothing to eat. But the tourists who have arrived do not know about this and take food from the buffet. It often ends up in misunderstandings. You will easily be billed for "not your food". Also, if you order dishes of your choice from the “A la carte” menu, then you will also have to pay the full price of the menu for that. The situation is aggravated by a terrible language barrier. Waiters don't understand "your English" and you don't understand "their English". Even through an Internet translator, it is very difficult to communicate.
In general, for the (huge) amount that we paid in the tour price for FB meals, we could calmly and without nerves eat the “A la carte” menu in the restaurant every day, so do not repeat our mistake and do not buy half , or full board.
At the time of our stay, there were many tourists with children who bought a tour with half board or full board meals. And there were 10 of us such dissatisfied numbers. As a result, in the last three days (thanks to Albina again) we were allocated a certain limit for one person and were allowed to eat within this limit on the “A la carte” menu. Compared to the set menu, the à la carte menu was almost excellent, although some tourists were dissatisfied with the reviews. After solving the food problems, the last three days at the hotel were just wonderful, the hassle ended, there is no need to think about anything, you can completely relax. True, during these three days they did not have time to rest.

Contacting the hotel management:
Why don't you remove the set menu at all? I am sure that this decision would only benefit the hotel. Please note that in reviews, tourists often identify the restaurant as the weak point of the hotel. I'm sure that in most cases it is the hassle with the set menu that is meant. Why not fix a certain amount for 1 person and provide an opportunity to eat within this limit on the “A la carte” menu? And immediately all guests will be satisfied and happy, and you will avoid many unhappy reviews. I would also like to draw your attention to the state of the menu in the restaurant is very old and shabby. For a 5 * hotel does not look very dignified.

Summing up, I will say that despite the problems with the restaurant, I still recommend the hotel many, many times. A great place for people looking for privacy, relaxation and silence. If in the first days I said that there was no more foot here, then in the last days I already knew for sure that I would come back here again, but I would not purchase additional food!

Thanks for attention. All wonderful, easy and memorable rest.
