Tours to Rock Water Bay Beach Resort & Spa. Tours to the Rock Water Bay Beach Resort & Spa Resort Ke Ga in Vietnam

Good afternoon everyone. I decided to write a review "in hot pursuit" while I remember the details and fresh emotions. Where to begin? Probably from the location of the hotel - it is located in the Ke Ga area, this is a remote place not far from the Vietnamese landmark Ke Ga Lighthouse. I must say right away that they drove us from the airport to the hotel for 5.5 hours, after almost 3 hours of standing at passport control at Cam Ranh Airport, collecting luggage and sorting by the tour operator by bus (Pegasus). So those who are afraid of a flight (10 hours) should not be afraid of a voyage through the sky, but of the subsequent road to the hotel. Of the pluses - the place is a real chillout and game - unlike Mui Ne, where the names are already all in Russian. It's real Vietnam, baby. The number of rooms near the hotel is shabby, in some places obscenely - "walking tiles" underfoot,dried-out furniture, dirty and torn headrests, cracks in the windows. Speaking of windows, on the very first day after settling in, I opened the window, but it was not destined to be closed - it was stuck tightly. I reported this to the reception, they promised to look into it, but they never did. In the evening they only dropped that tomorrow (not today) they could offer another number, which was done. Okay, not fatal, breathed sea air. Air conditioning is good, but hangs directly above the bed (my child slept there), so don't expect to turn it on at night, you'll catch a cold). There is no television in the hotel in Russian, channels in English with Vietnamese voice acting or subtitles. The TV itself is new, in theory you can even connect HDMI to it, but they won’t give you a remote control to switch the signal source, but I think you can get out .... They clean up very well, the staff is friendly and loves children. The views from the rooms on the sea (at least in where we lived) are bombing, nice balconies, but it literally shares a meter-high piece of glass with neighbors, so if they smoke or like to talk out loud at night under the moon, get ready to either not sleep, or something else. There is no entertainment at all (in fact, there is some kind of karaoke above the restaurant), so help yourself here. But a good Wi-Fi, which, however, sometimes lagged a lot (when full occupancy). Somehow I called the reception and asked to do something with the Internet, they promised to fix it and asked for my number - someone would come to fix it. What to repair and where I have it in the room, I did not understand. The Internet did not get better :) The beach is microscopic between two piles of stones and this is generally a huge story, a very big minus of the whole holiday. The fact is that there is a fairly long shallow, and the buoys recede from coastline meters by 5-10 depending on the tide or the tide. The guard is hellishly strict and whistles every time you step over the cable (yes, you step over, not swim over). The study of the issue showed that next to the hotel for recent years Two, the bottom changed and a whirlpool formed, which pulls people under the water. There were cases of drowning (somewhere in Mui Ne, 4 Vietnamese students drowned just during our vacation) and after that such strict rules were introduced - so decide for yourself whether you need a hotel with the sea or just wet your feet. I was with children and it was super, my wife and I fed midges and other insects on the beach on sun loungers (there are only 10 of them under the roofs). For reference, there is an awesome beach nearby, it’s a kilometer away and there is no one with a whistle, I swam there without problems, it didn’t get sucked anywhere (maybe lucky, I don’t know), but in general, everything is at your own peril and risk. PS. When we left, an excavator was riding along the coast and digging the beach - so there may be a chance for some improvements, since the low tide in the last two days made swimming impossible - the shallow was already 10 meters after the buoys that hung lifelessly on poles. At high tide, the already not clean beach is filled with garbage, I didn’t see the people who clean it up - I did it myself until I lost this battle to the sea and ran shamefully into the pool to the Chinese. The other pain of the hotel is the restaurant. It's expensive and not very tasty. They asked for freshly squeezed juice without ice (for reference, ice is not made from bottled water and no one can guarantee its purity, I took this habit from Cambodia). They brought half a glass with a grin (they say we weren’t made with a finger either), I didn’t go to the restaurant anymore - because it’s not good. Walk along the road - there is a restaurant with prices 2-3 times lower, Spartan conditions and a bunch of flies, but no one bothers to take takeaway food or to the beach. Tripadvisor is full of recommendations. We never got to the SPA, captured by the service of the restaurant. The pools in the hotel are very good, with salt water (chlorine is poured anyway), there are many different levels, but there are no slides - the children were delighted. The bar did not work because it was not the season, in general, half of the hotel at that time (August) was still in suspended animation, in some places the fountains did not work, the bowls of the small pools were not filled. In general, be prepared for the fact that this hotel is for locals and Chinese. There are few compatriots and therefore no one speaks Russian, only weak English. At the same time, they are very sincere and smile a lot. On weekends, locals occupy all the rooms and yell their Vietnamese songs from the balconies and smoke until the morning, play cards on the balconies - I fought like a lion, but this is their culture ... there's nothing to be done. Transport. There is a shuttle to Phan Thiet, but the time of its departure is solely for the convenience of the staff who are dragging about their business somewhere in the city (the driver bombs along the way, so people from bus 6 will keep you company, description below). The last shuttle there is at 16.20, and from there at 21.00. We rode local buses numbered 1 (decent red with air conditioning, but the chance of meeting it is negligible) and 6 (crazy bass, everything is open, including doors, the roof is leaking, and the locals smoke right in the cabin and the conductor lights them :) ))). A taxi from Phan Thiet to the hotel costs about 300 thousand dong, if you bargain - according to the counter 340-400 thousand. By the way, if you hope to call a taxi from the hotel to the fishing village where the Lighthouse and the market (4 km), then relax - for the sake of this a taxi from the city will not go to you and the administrator will kindly offer you to use either a shuttle (departure at 6:00, return at 8:00), or crazy bass :) The attitude of the tour operator (Pegasus) towards the hotel residents is slightly dismissive - there are few Russian people , so our guide, smiling at all 32, immediately announced that he had come to us for the first and last time. I had to order excursions from the wheels, we felt a little under the pressure of our guide's indifference. He didn’t give us much information either, so on top, - he didn’t know Phan Thiet very well. The tours turned out to be quite good, although this is already offtopic and has nothing to do with the hotel. As for the work of the hotel administration, everything is on the level, there were no serious complaints, traditionally in the southern leisurely way, of course, but we did not come here in order to rush). I don’t publish photos, because I’m everywhere with my family.

I am writing a review about the trip for the first time) so do not judge strictly. I decided to write because I learned a lot from previous reviews. First of all, I'll say right away this hotel suitable for those who want relaxation, those who need parties are clearly not here. (do not confuse ke gu with mui ne) I focus on this, since I myself made this mistake, considering something to be at hand to Mui Ne, but in fact, a couple of hours by bus, a taxi is expensive. I went with my mother (65 years old, I'm 22), both are delighted with the hotel, my mother from the flower territory, I from the ocean with a pool. I want to warn you right away that the hotel is excellent for families with very young children, whom you can take, and they will not need anything else. Older children will be bored, there is no animation in the hotel. Secondly, the food: the breakfasts at the hotel are excellent, there is a lot of choice, but the dishes do not change from day to day, there are soups, and scrambled eggs, and even pancakes, but otherwise a standard set, various meats, fruits, juices, you can make toasts yourself . BUT COME EARLY, breakfast from 7 to 9.30. We personally dined with fruit, but we had dinner at Misha's cafe, almost all Russians eat there, if you leave the hotel and go to the right, then the second cafe looks worse than the first, but the taste and price are much better. The first one is held by the Russian Natalya, I advise you NOT to go, she doesn’t add the ingredients, after which she is rude. Misha, along with the menu, will bring you roasted peanuts, and then with a check, fruit as a gift, a trifle, but very nice. Basically, we took one side dish, one seafood dish and juices 150-200,000 VND. The water in the room is free from above (updated every day), in the refrigerator, of course, for a fee, but we took it from there, after we bought and put the same one from the supermarket, no one had any complaints.
Thirdly, the beach, we were in December, the waves are very large, swimming in the sea is really up to 11-12 hours and then swimming and jumping on the waters, then a very high tide. At the expense of tides, the sea really changes very much, where in the morning there are 20 meters of the beach, in the evening the waves reach the pool. Moreover, as far as I understood the beach near hotel 2, this one is near the pool, and the second one to the right of it, but the second one is kind of semi-wild, there is more garbage in the water, and sand midges come across, which have peculiar bites, at first you don’t feel it, and then it itches, and not for a whole day, but for about an hour, it itches, then calmly all day, but it takes a very long time. We were advised to save ourselves from them with resperators. Also, these midges are on the wild beach on the left (tested on myself). The pool has sea water, which is a big plus for the hotel. As an indicator, at night it brings crabs into the pool in waves, and they calmly survive, throwing out a couple in the morning)
Fourthly, the rooms are huge, the views are beautiful, we had room 403 and it was comfortable and clean. But take a fumigator with you, put it in the room at night, because if you sleep with open windows, someone bites. And maybe when you leave the room in the evening, leave the windows closed, one day we found a couple of huge cockroaches. Fifth excursion. We flew with anex from them, they are expensive, they took from Alexei (Vietnamese, who studied in Moscow) he is located near the coop market (phant thiet), I will describe how to get there later. Alex's contacts remained, you can knock on the PM in VK (Evgenia Astrikhinskaya), I'll forward it. he also changed money, the rate was $ 100 2,150,000 dong. Alex’s tours are 2 times cheaper than those of Anex, the Nyachangsh-Dalat tour cost $ 100 per person (this is a 2-day tour), it’s just $ 30 Dalat, we got a Russian guide, so we really liked it. We also went fishing on our own, from our hotel it’s really walkable (15 minutes) to the left of the hotel, there will be a hotel located on two parts of the road (a double name, it starts with m, I don’t remember exactly), so if you go to the left side of the road, then for 80,000 dong you can go fishing, spinning rods, bait are issued, the Vietnamese fully helps you to put it on and throw it. Piranhas and perches are caught, and they are caught very well, each of us caught 9 fish. After you have caught the fish, you can either release it or buy it (VND 120,000 per kilogram), they will immediately cook it for you for free, just don’t forget to ask for spicy notes, this was our mistake) then you will be taken to a restaurant where you will already your ready-made fish will be waiting) Transport: it took a really long time to get to the hotel (6 hours, and the hotel will most likely be the last one), but the minibus is quite comfortable, after the plane we slept in it, the rest of the time we admired the surroundings. We brought in a cafe to eat, the prices are 2 times more expensive. Therefore, I advise you to take something from home with you, and then just go out to the sea. Dollars in this cafe can be exchanged normally. You can get from the hotel to Phan Thiet by shuttle bus, but it is paid 20,000 dong, there is a schedule at the reception. There is also a public bus with a local flavor of 13,000 dong, they go about half an hour or an hour, go to the hotel security, and say that you are up to phan thiet (explain with gestures), after which the guard gets up to catch the bus, and you sit in the shade on the bench. Color - on the bus The Vietnamese can smoke, stare at you, sit on the floor, and so on. Buy tickets and get off near the coop marketa, or ask the conductor to show you where it is for the first time, or see where all the Russians get off. Near it, without crossing the road, Alex has a travel agency. There is also a bus to Mui Ne 9ka. But remember that the last 6-way goes towards the hotel at about 5-5.30 .. It seems that everything, if I remember anything, I will add.

Pros: The hotel has tourists to a quiet and relaxing holiday. The heat in the resort is easily tolerated due to the mild climate.

Minuses: There is a lot of garbage floating in the sea, which makes swimming unpleasant. There are no showers by the hotel pool.

Few people know about the place Ke Ga (Vietnam). Most often, tourists come here with an excursion from Mui Ne to look at the old lighthouse built by the French at the end of the 19th century. But this place is unique even for such exotic country like Vietnam.

How to get there?

The village of Ke Ga on the map of Vietnam is located near Mui Ne (Phan Thiet). However, in reality this distance is not so small, about 30 km. to the south. Besides, public transport in Ke Ga is not developed, you will need to use a taxi service or rent a motorbike. This has both a disadvantage and an advantage of a resort town. On the one hand, from Mui Ne, where all the main entertainments are concentrated, this secluded village is quite long and expensive to get to, but, on the other hand, such a remote location makes Ke Ga a closed and intimate place where you can enjoy a quiet romantic vacation.

If you decide to make a trip to Ke Ga and get to know the famous old lighthouse, which, by the way, is still active, you can buy this tour in Mui Ne. Several Russian-speaking tourist offices are at your service. You can also organize a trip to the island with a lighthouse on your own, but in this case, be prepared to first drive fifty kilometers by taxi from Mui Ne, and then hire a boat or a boat. If you are lucky, and during your visit there will be low tide, then you can reach the lighthouse in 15 minutes on foot. If you wish, you can climb the Kega Lighthouse (Vietnam) itself by breaking 184 steps up the spiral staircase. Your efforts will be more than rewarded with wonderful photos that you will certainly take against the backdrop of this, perhaps, the most beautiful lighthouse in all of Southeast Asia.

If you have chosen Ke Ga as your holiday destination, it is best to purchase air tickets to Ho Chi Minh City. For organized travelers, travel agencies will provide transfers to the hotel by bus or car, and independent tourists There will be several options to choose from:

  • get to the city of Phan Thiet by train, by railway station take a taxi and get to the hotel in Ke Ga,
  • get to Phan Thiet by intercity bus, and then again by taxi to the hotel,
  • order a taxi directly from the airport (this is expensive, but saves time and effort).

Get ready for quite a long road. Even a taxi will take about 6 hours.

Where to stay?

There are enough hotels in Ke Ga (Vietnam), despite the remoteness of the resort and its not too great popularity. The settlement is gradually being built up, and soon its infrastructure will become richer and more diverse. But do not be afraid that you will get to the "great construction site". On the contrary, this place is quiet and secluded, with beautiful landscapes, wide beaches, where you can feel at one with nature.

Another feature of the village: the hotels here are located at a significant distance from each other, which further contributes to peace and quiet. And you will not find discos with noisy restaurants in Ke Ga. In this cozy village there are no entertainment places, but there are clean sandy beaches and a riot of natural colors.

The choice of hotels is quite wide: from inexpensive to luxurious. The best hotels Ke Ga in terms of price-quality ratio are:

Accommodation prices in this resort town are lower than in Mui Ne, this is due to the remoteness of the village from the noise of civilization. And this is another argument to choose Ke Ga for a holiday in Vietnam.

When to go?

Weather in Ke Ga (Vietnam) contributes to a long beach season. The water temperature in the sea does not fall below +23°C (in January), and in May it even heats up to +28°C. Air temperature fluctuations are also not too significant: from +29°C in January (up to +20°C at night) to +35°C in summer.

When choosing a vacation time, you need to focus on the rainy season, which begins in June and ends in October. At this time it can be very rainy here. The best time to visit is from November to February. Then clear skies and comfortable temperatures will be guaranteed. In the spring there is also no rain, but it gets quite hot.

Attractions

In the vicinity of the village you can find only two attractions:

  • lighthouse Ke Ga, which was described above.
  • Mount Taku.

Mount Taku is primarily famous for the statue of the Reclining Buddha. This original image of the deity, about 40 meters long, is visited by thousands of tourists every year. You can get to the Reclining Buddha from the foot of the mountain along cable car and then walk up the stairs.

Things to do in Ke Ga:

  • walks (walking and cycling),
  • fishing (and if you do not like to fish, be sure to buy it from local fishermen),
  • swimming in the sea and sunbathing,
  • spa treatments.

As you can see, rest in Ke Ga contributes to peace and unity with nature. But, if you want to see the sights or have some fun, you can always take a taxi to bustling Phan Thiet.

Having discovered the Ke Ga resort, you will get an unforgettable experience of the local natural color! And, returning home, you will surely remember the days spent in this Vietnamese outback as one of the happiest!

Denis, good afternoon! I haven’t checked this information for a long time, it seems to me that in the region of $ 20 or 400 dong you can agree, probably even $ 15 and 300 dong, respectively. At this point, what kind of car will be and what kind of driver. I advise you to use bus number 6 (if I remember the number correctly), which runs along Ke Ga to Phan Thiet. And in Phan Thiet itself, in the CoopMart area, there is a bus stop number 1 to Mui Ne. This is a very simple, easy, budget way to travel. But already back, after dinner, but with a bunch of purchases, I advise you to cooperate with someone in advance and take a taxi to the hotel.

Irina, good afternoon! In fact, this is the beginning of the rainy season in southern Vietnam. For those who do not know what Ke Ga is, this is a strip of resorts outside the city of Phan Thiet, towards Ho Chi Minh City, while the most famous resort close to Phan Thiet is Mui Ne. They are just on opposite sides of Phan Thiet, so the whole direction is called Phan Thiet tourist. They confuse people. There is nothing interesting for recreation in Phanttete itself, there are two hotels. All hotels are mainly in Mui Ne. Much smaller part in Ke Ga. And if Mui Ne is a tourist village with a very well-developed infrastructure and a large selection of cafes, restaurants, spas, then Ke Ga is, as it were, on the outskirts, only the sea and emptiness are nearby. But close to hotels locals opened small cafes. So not quite naked.
But for shopping you need to go at least to Phan Thiet, it's about 25 km. By bus. There are supermarkets Koopmart and Lotte Mart. And for a choice of cafes and massage - in Mui Ne, this is another plus 15 km to those 25.

Irina, good afternoon! Wow you have plans! But I think they are right! The easiest way to book a ticket is at your hotel, but there is one rather big problem - as a rule, all slipper buses go through Phan Thiet (from Saigon through Phan Thiet and Mui Ne to Nha Trang). In Mui Ne, they pick you up directly from hotels, stop wherever you say, since this is one street along the sea, and in Phan Thiet they can also pick you up in certain places (you will need the help of the Vietnamese to negotiate and buy tickets). No one travels through Kega. So everything is possible, I see only two problems now - clearly designate the place where you will be picked up and get to this place in advance, and the second - now TET is on the nose, this is Vietnamese New Year, this year on February 19, and the problem with tickets. Either everything is sold, or prices instead of 120 dong reach 750. But this is solvable. Good luck in Nha Trang. Let me know if you need any more advice or help. https://vk.com/dmitryvietnam

Dmitry! Good day!
Need advice, help, comment))))
Traveling with kids in early February
Golden Coast Resort & Spa 4 * (the sites stubbornly write that this is Phan Thiet, from your words, and I think this is more true, this is Mui Ne). We arrive in Nha Trang. And then we begin to tremble imagining the road to the hotel! How can I order a taxi? !))) What is there near our hotel in terms of feeding the children and yourself, taking a walk, shops, a pharmacy, buying fruit, etc.? How is it more convenient for us to visit Winpearl? On what transport? And maybe you will advise a hotel in Nha Trang to take a break, but on the trail. day back to your hotel? Which of the excursions can we take that is not particularly tiring for children? you write about northern islands(if I didn’t make a mistake in the name), will they suit us? Really looking forward to your reply! Thank you in advance for your patience and kindness
