Tunisia tourist memo. Memo for tourists using the services of travel companies How to behave in unforeseen situations

Introduction

The relevance of this topic lies in the fact that it allows tourists to navigate the country, especially those who are traveling for the first time.

The purpose of the project is to search for information about the country, which has been selected as the development of a memo for a tourist. Reveal its features, having learned the culture, geography, climate, local religion, visa formalities, customs control, cuisine, peculiarities of the population, currency and much more, and on the basis of this, identify the most necessary information for the tourist, which will allow him to spend his vacation without problems and difficulties.

1. Search for the necessary information about the country.

2. Precautions for staying in a foreign country

3. Collect and identify the most basic information for a tourist traveling to another country.

4. Investigate the climate, geography, religion, measures of behavior of the population of the country.

The subject of research is a memo.

The object of the research is the travel agency "Master of Rest", which was chosen for the development of a tourist guide.

While on vacation, a tourist must:

Observe the legislation of the country (place) of temporary stay, respect its social structure, customs, traditions, religious beliefs;

To preserve the environment, treats carefully the monuments of nature, history and culture in the place of temporary stay;

I follow the rules of entry into the country (place) of temporary stay and stay there; observe the rules of personal safety while traveling.

Citizens need to know how to act in emergency situations in order to protect themselves and their loved ones, provide them with assistance if necessary, while maintaining self-control and composure. For this, a memo for the tourist is being created.

In this course project, first of all, tourist documentation for organizing a vacation for a tourist will be described, brief information about the travel agency that sends a tourist to the country will also be provided, as well as all the necessary information about the country and directly the memo for the tourist itself.

Tourist documentation, tourist memo

Tourist documentation

A tourist product (tour) created by a tour operator implies its mandatory methodological support in the company. Methodological support is embodied in the form of preparation of special technological documentation, which is designed to fully describe the tour itself, its production processes and services provided to tourists. This is necessary for a clear, efficient and flexible work of the company's employees, as well as for the possibility of constant control over the content of the tour, its implementation and to work on its improvement.

The composition and content of the technological documentation of the tours are stipulated by the regulatory documents of the Russian Federation. Tours and their technological documentation must meet regulatory requirements aimed at protecting consumer rights. They are controlled in the process of certification of tourism products. Technological documentation is completed in the folders of tours (or directions).

The set of technological documentation for each tour must include:

* technological map of tourist travel along the route (Appendix A to GOST R 50681-94);

* Schedule of loading a tourist enterprise by groups of tourists for a certain time (Appendix B to GOST R 50681-94);

* information sheet for the tourist trip voucher (Appendix B to GOST R 50681-94);

* forms of vouchers of the standard form TUR-1 "Tourist voucher" (approved by the Ministry of Finance of Russia);

* booking sheet (see Chapter IV, Article 9, third paragraph of the Federal Law "On the Basics of Tourist Activity in the Russian Federation" dated November 24, 1996);

* Forms of contracts with clients - travel agents (in accordance with the Federal Law "On the Basics of Tourist Activities in the Russian Federation");

* agreements with partners - service providers (hotels, transport companies, excursion bureaus, etc.);

* calculation or calculation of the cost of the tour;

* description of the route;

* schedule of movement along the route;

* route map;

* text of travel information (for bus tours);

* a description of the technological features of the tour (a reminder about the deadlines for submitting applications, orders for transport, tickets, excursions and reservations in hotel enterprises, catering establishments; application forms; traffic schedules along the route; possible transfers, waiting, etc.);

* texts of reminders for tourists (in special cases, for example, for trips abroad to quarantine countries, for specialized sports or adventure equipment tours, etc.);

* reference materials on the route;

* price lists (catalogs).

On bus tours, the "Bus Route Passport" (in the foreign version - "Trip Sheets") is filled in, approved by the Ministry of Transport of Russia, reflecting not only the route scheme and service technology, but also the technical data of the bus, kilometers and road features, bans and restrictions on road traffic , roadside rest and food points, sanitary parking, etc.

A technological map of a tourist trip is a document that clearly and concisely gives all the information and data on the tour necessary for work (Appendix 1).

In some cases (depending on the specifics of the route and service), some points can be omitted.

The loading schedule of tourist enterprises along the route reflects the real load of tourist enterprises along the route and allows it to be monitored and controlled (Appendix 2).

The information sheet for the tourist travel voucher contains sections of mandatory and additional information on the route intended for tourists and is an integral attachment to the tourist voucher or voucher.

The information sheet contains the following information:

* an indication of the type and type of tourist travel, the main content of the travel service program, the length and duration of the entire route, its hiking part, the category of trips and other specifics;

* description of the travel route - points of stay, duration of stay and accommodation conditions at each service point (type of building, number of beds in the room, its sanitary equipment);

* a brief description of the travel area (attractions, terrain features, etc.), service programs at each point of the tour;

* list of services provided for an additional fee;

* the presence and brief description of sports facilities and playgrounds, parking lots, passenger cable cars, reservoirs, attractions, children's playgrounds (rooms), libraries, cinemas, etc .;

* the address of the tourist company, where the tourist journey begins, and travel to it.

The list of additional information includes information that depends on the specifics of the tour:

* information about age restrictions, admission of parents with children, married couples;

* special information for tourist trekking trips;

A tourist voucher of the TUR-1 form was developed by the State Committee for Trade and Technology of Russia in cooperation with the Russian Association of Travel Agencies and the League for the Protection of Travelers' Rights, approved by a letter from the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation dated 04.10.96, is a strict reporting form and contains an optimal set of details that give the client the most complete information about upcoming tour. This form of a voucher is typical, which allows travel companies, when replicating vouchers, to supplement them with other necessary data.

This form of voucher is used as a form of strict reporting in settlements with the population for accounting for cash without the use of cash registers. The date of the statement (transfer) of the voucher and the date of its sale are reflected in the accounting accounts. When transferring the voucher, the tear-off coupon remains as a document confirming the fact and date of sale of the tourist product, and serves as the basis for the application of VAT benefits. When paying in cash, the stubs of the vouchers are stored together with other cash documents. In case of non-cash payments, the enterprise must ensure the accounting and storage of the stubs of the issued vouchers.

Booking sheet. According to the Federal Law "On the Basics of Tourist Activity in the Russian Federation" (Chapter IV, Article 9), this is a specific order of a tourist or a person authorized to represent a group of tourists to a tour operator for the formation of a tourist product. It is drawn up in writing as an agreement having the character of a preliminary contract (Appendix 6).

The contract with the client for the purchase of the tour is drawn up in accordance with Ch. GU st. 10 of the Federal Law "On the Basics of Tourist Activities in the Russian Federation" and on the basis of the Model Sales and Purchase Agreement.

The essential terms of the agreement include:

* information about the tour operator (seller), including data on the license for the right to carry out tourist activities, the legal address of the company and bank details;

* information about the tourist (buyer) in the amount necessary for the sale of the tourist product;

* information about the tour operator at the reception (partner of the seller), including data on the license, legal address, bank details and contact numbers;

* information on the consumer properties of a tourist product, the program of stay and the route of travel, on the safety conditions of tourists and certification of a tourist product;

* date and time of the beginning and end of the trip, its duration;

* the procedure for meeting, seeing off and accompanying tourists;

* rights, obligations and responsibilities of the parties;

* retail price of a tourist product and the procedure for its payment;

* the minimum number of tourists in the group;

* the term for informing the tourist that the trip will not take place due to the lack of a group;

* conditions for changing and terminating the contract, the procedure for settling disputes arising in this connection and compensation for losses of the parties;

* the procedure and terms for the presentation of claims by the tourist (claims to the quality of the tourist product are presented by the tourist to the tour operator or travel agent in writing within 20 days from the expiration of the contract and are subject to satisfaction within 10 days after receiving the claim). Other terms of the contract are determined by agreement of the parties.

Agreements with partners - service providers (with hotels, airlines, transport companies, etc.) confirm the possibility of providing the relevant services.

Calculation, or calculation of the cost of the tour, can be made according to the method proposed in Appendix 6 (booking sheet). In this case, the calculation of the cost of the tour is made by summing the cost of each individual service and the statutory percentage of profit (it usually amounts to 15-20% of the cost of the tour for the tour operator).

The description of the route is compiled in free form for the convenience of the managers or supervisors along the route (or direction), guides, as well as for the attachment to the agreement with the travel agent for inclusion in the text of the information sheet to the voucher.

The route schedule is compiled in tabular form, indicating the dates and times of arrival and departure for each point on the route.

The route map is compiled for linear and circular routes for the purpose of clarity of the route.

A description of the technological features of the tour is a reminder of the deadlines for submitting applications for transport, tickets, excursions to museums, hotel reservations, meals, as well as a reminder of the deadlines and rules for issuing visas and insurance, transfers, expectations, the work of guides at the reception or foreign representatives, escort guides, etc. For the convenience of work, special application forms for the listed services are made. All this is necessary for the operational work of the personnel controlling the conduct of this tour.

Price lists. For each tour operator company, the price list is one of the most important working documents. The success of cooperation with travel agents largely depends on how succinctly and competently the information is presented in it. Price lists can be in the form of leaflets, brochures and catalogs (detailed price proposals). In any case, this is information about prices for various tourist services.

The information in the leaflets is presented in a concise manner, and the prices of tour packages are indicated only for a short time. In some cases, these are special offers of travel agencies for one or several flights.

Expanded price offers are voluminous publications (catalogs, booklets) and include not only a full list of seasonal prices of the offered tours, but also additional information of a recommendatory and explanatory nature: lists of necessary documents for a tour, visa and booking rules (with the attachment of a booking sheet) , the schedule of air flights, information on prices, conditions of car rental and hotel features.

All technological documents are completed in the "tour folder" or in the "route folder" to ensure the smooth operation of the tour operator on this site and adhere to the principle of "flexibility" of the tourist product, so that each employee of the company can easily and professionally replace the manager of the direction who is absent for any reason ...

Tourist memo

A tourist memo is an information leaflet for a tourist voucher containing useful information about the host country, rules of conduct, customs clearance, emergency phones, maybe a short phrasebook.

This leaflet contains important information for all travelers abroad and the rules, the observance of which will help to avoid difficulties during travel.

The texts of memos for tourists are compiled in special, necessary cases, for example, when organizing specialized tours (adventure, sports - for equipment, health and safety during travel, etc.) or in the case of sending tourists to endemic countries. Each tourist traveling to countries that are disadvantaged due to the presence of dangerous infections there (plague, cholera, yellow fever, HIV infection, malaria) must be given individual memos, certified by the signature of the tour operator and the seal of the company. The presence of such reminders among tourists must be checked during customs inspection at the airports "Sheremetyevo", "Vnukovo", etc.

Federal Law of November 24, 1996 N 132-FZ "On the Basics of Tourist Activities in the Russian Federation" obliges the travel agency to provide the client with information about the tour, the country where he is going, its customs, rules of conduct during the trip, and the necessary vaccinations.

Reference materials for the route are various guides, booklets, transport timetables, museum work, hotel addresses, travel routes and other materials highlighting the features of the tour.

Advertising brochures and brochures are intended for tourists in order to familiarize them, inform and advertise the possibilities of the tour operator for travel (systematized advertising information on the directions of travel with the appropriate details).

When purchasing a voucher, you need to familiarize yourself with the tour program and general information on all the conditions for its conduct at the travel agency office or on the website and ask your questions to the manager.

The documents: each tourist must have an identity document with him. Passport and / or a photocopy of the passport, including pages on registration (residence permit) and citizenship, military ID, driver's license, birth certificate), for children under 18 years of age, independently without parents setting off on the route, written parental consent, tourist voucher or document, replacing it (voucher, booking sheet, contract) and insurance policy.

Equipment provided: the group is provided with a set of special mountain, water or hiking group equipment for the route in accordance with the selected tour.

Personal equipment required: The list of things for different tours may differ, you will see it in your personal account. Universal list: down jacket or warm jacket, waterproof clothing (raincoat, jacket, trousers), trekking boots, sneakers and slates (light slippers), warm tracksuit and warm hat, cotton gloves, T-shirts 2-3 pcs., Shorts, woolen socks 2 pairs, thin socks 3-4 pairs, sun cap, sunglasses and cream, swimsuit / swimming trunks, flashlight, folding knife, matches, batteries, personal hygiene items.
The requirement for a set of personal belongings is nothing superfluous and heavy, since, in addition to them, you will have to carry food for the entire tour and group equipment.

Transport: provided depending on the number of tourists in the group: car, minibus, bus. Camping cargo is transported with the group. During a long journey to an active route, it is possible to spend the night on the way in a vehicle. On the routes there is a transfer of equipment provided by the travel agency from one group to another. Transport leaves strictly according to the schedule, so do not be late to the place where the group gathers and the vehicle is dispatched.

Accompaniment: Throughout the program, the group is served by guides. The number of instructors and guides depends on the number of people in the group and is distributed for each route individually.

Accommodation: depends on the chosen tour. Water is taken from clean streams or rivers. Care is taken to ensure that the tourist was given the opportunity to spend a pleasant evening. Tent campsites are set up by tourists on their own or with the help of instructors at each camp site.

Nutrition: the main one is three times a day.
In the field, food is cooked on a fire, a stove or a gas burner. Meals on the route are light in weight and enhanced in calories. Tourists must take part in collecting firewood for the fire, and are involved in cooking at their own will. The menu includes: canned meat, fish, butter, cereals, pasta, vegetables, tea, coffee, condensed milk, sweets. During the hikes, there is an opportunity to fish (you need to have fishing equipment with you), pick mushrooms and berries.

Security: You voluntarily purchased a voucher and you know that the mountains are a place of increased danger to the health and life of city dwellers caught in the natural environment. In the mountains, the weather changes very often. There are thunderstorms, snowfalls, strong winds, blizzards, low and high temperatures, rockslides and ice, mudflows, a person is affected by the difference in heights, temperatures, increased ultraviolet activity of the sun and other factors. On the routes, signs of "altitude sickness" are possible, which are removed by vigorous activity and acclimatization.

On talus and moraines - movement in a dense group "trail in trail" and strictly monitor the location of each other and avoid large, posing a threat, breaks. In case of rockfall, give the command "stone" and take cover behind the nearest ledge.

There is an active sun in the mountains, so it is necessary to use sunglasses, sunscreen and do not abuse sunbathing, swimming in mountain lakes.

Tours, except for climbing, do not require special training and everyone can participate in them, including children from the age of 12, accompanied by parents or close relatives who are fully responsible for them. Children under 16 years old unaccompanied by an adult are not allowed on active routes. The technical skills required to successfully navigate the passes are acquired along the way.

Gorny Altai is an area where snakes and ticks are found. Despite the fact that in recent years there have been no cases of tick-borne encephalitis among our tourists, it is advisable to have vaccinations and insurance.

The guides have a first aid kit with a set of medicines necessary for the trip. Specific medicines (allergic, asthmatic, hypertensive, etc.) must be carried with you.

Altai is a place where poisonous plants are found: tsikuta, wrestler, hellebore, raven eye, so you need to be careful and ask your guides about the possibility of using certain plants, herbs and berries.

You can also meet wild animals on the routes, so you cannot move away from the group for long distances (by km and time), you must inform the instructors about all your absences.

Additional expenses: at the base parking lots are additionally paid for services that are not included in the cost of the program. The tourist is responsible for additional expenses himself.

Insurance: insurance of tourists on an active route is an obligatory and integral part. For the safety of the movement of tourists on an active route, a tourist has no right to refuse insurance, refusal is possible only if there is insurance from another insurance company that guarantees assistance in the event of an insured event in the highlands of Altai. The cost of active routes in Gorny Altai includes tourist insurance by Reso-Garantia, which provides medical expenses and a one-time payment for accident insurance. The provision of insurance assistance (calling the Search and Rescue Service, helicopters, etc.) is carried out in accordance with the severity of the insured event.

To prevent a tick bite, the following rules should be observed:
1. When going for a walk in the forest or on an excursion, you must dress in such a way as to reduce the possibility of ticks getting under your clothes. Clothing should fit snugly to the body, it is desirable that there are elastic cuffs on the arms and on the legs of the trousers. It is easier to notice a tick on plain clothes.
2. Remember that most of the mites are in the grass, so for rest it is better to choose dry, open places with sandy soil. It is not recommended to bring plucked flowers and branches from the forest. Every 15 minutes, a superficial examination of the clothes should be done, and every 2 hours a complete examination of the body.
3. Along with the implementation of the basic rules, special protective measures should be applied: chemicals, creams, aerosols. One of the means of prevention and treatment of tick-borne encephalitis is "Yodantipirin" - a drug that has antiviral, anti-inflammatory and immunodulatory effects. This drug is sold in pharmacies.
4. When a tick bites, it is not recommended to try to remove it yourself. It is necessary to contact medical professionals or route instructors who have experience of acting in such situations. Remember that the faster the tick is removed, the lower the dose of the pathogen it will transmit.

Tourist responsibility: in case of violation of the rules of travel in transport, a representative of the company (driver) has the right to drop the offender at the nearest traffic police post. Compensation for the cost of the voucher and transport is not made in this case. In the event of a breakdown or loss of equipment received from a representative of a travel agency (or a guide), you will reimburse the full cost of the equipment yourself. A tourist who deliberately concealed information about diseases that can lead to irreversible consequences on the route is fully responsible for everything that happens on the route. If a reasonable claim arises during the tour, you should immediately contact a representative of the receiving party or the Carrier to eliminate the causes of its occurrence. If the detected deficiencies could not be eliminated on the spot, it is necessary to draw up a written protocol, which is signed by the Customer and the representative.

A tourist on an active route must: observe the rules of personal safety and safety of behavior on the route, carefully listen to the daily instructions before going on the route, promptly follow all instructions and commands of the guide-instructor, as well as listen to the recommendations. During the period of preparation for the hike, it is advisable to undergo a medical examination and, on the route, promptly inform the head of the hike about the deterioration of the state of health. During the movement of transport, listen to the accompanying person and strictly observe the departure time. It is forbidden to travel on the bus while intoxicated, as well as smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages in the bus, as well as along the entire length of the active route.

The tourist should know that the leader of the route has the right to: Take the necessary measures aimed at ensuring the safety of the participants, up to the change or termination of the trip in connection with the emerging natural hazards and other circumstances, as well as, if necessary, provide assistance to the victim. After discussion at a group meeting, exclude from the number of participants a tourist who is not prepared for the passage of this route for moral qualities, sports and technical data or for health reasons. If such a need has arisen during the hike, the tourist is at the earliest opportunity delivered to the settlement to be sent to the place of residence. To divide the group in an emergency, based on the actual availability of forces and means, the specific situation and the maximum probability of performing tasks to eliminate the accident.

We kindly ask you to respect the cultural and historical values, traditions and customs of the indigenous population of the Altai Republic.

CHAPTER 5. TOURIST'S REMINDER

Tourist memo

Firms often have to listen to tourists' claims. Sometimes all this can be brought to court. And here a lot depends on the evidence provided by the travel agency, which confirms that it not only fulfilled all its obligations, but also provided the client with full information about the trip before it began. Moreover, it is better to draw up such information in the form of a memo.

Federal Law of November 24, 1996 N 132-FZ "On the Basics of Tourist Activities in the Russian Federation" obliges the travel agency to provide the client with information about the tour, the country where he is going, its customs, rules of conduct during the trip, and the necessary vaccinations. As we said at the beginning of our article, such information can be issued in the form of a memo for a tourist, which will be an annex to the agreement. Do not forget to indicate in the contract that a memo is attached to it. Then, in the event of litigation, the firm will be able to prove that it provided the client with full information about the tour.

The memo is compiled in any form. You can specify the following items:

1. Travel documents

2. Departure rules

3. Arrival rules

4. Language of the host country

When filling out the declaration form, you should indicate the entire amount of foreign currency that you took with you. Remember that for the export of more than $ 10,000 US dollars or the equivalent in other currencies from Russia, you must have a certificate from the bank (the certificate is valid for 1 year from the date of issue) or an entry customs declaration (issued no more than 1 year ago) with the appropriate customs marks. A certificate (declaration) is submitted when passing through customs control. The customs declaration must be kept until return to Russia.

Pass border control in any cab.

Board the plane through the exit number indicated on the boarding pass.

Upon arrival in Tunisia

To enter Tunisia, you need a visa, for which you must fill out a registration card arriving in the country. Cards can be issued on the plane or at the airport in front of the check-in counter. For Russian citizens, a visa to Tunisia is free, after presenting a Russian passport and a completed registration card, a stamp is put on the passport. After passing through passport control and receiving your luggage (remember, the porter service is paid!), A representative of our company with a “PEGAS” sign is waiting for you at the exit from the airport. After checking in with the representative of the company, you will be shown a bus to the hotel. Make sure your luggage is loaded onto the bus. It should be borne in mind that, depending on the number of tourists, the bus can call in several hotels.

Time

Time is 3 hours behind Moscow time.

Customs

Allowed for import into Tunisia: 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 500 grams of tobacco, 2 liters of alcoholic beverages with a strength of less than 25%, 1 liter of alcoholic drinks with a strength of more than 25%.

Currency

The monetary unit is the Tunisian dinar, it is divisible by 1000 millimeters. Coins in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 millimeters and coins in denominations of 0.5 and 1 dinars, banknotes of 5, 10 and 20 dinars are in use. It is extremely rare to come across coins of 1 millimeter. Banknotes of the same denomination can be of different designs and differ in size and color.

Import of foreign currency is not limited, national currency is prohibited. The export of imported foreign currency is allowed. Currency can be changed at the hotel or bank exchange office. The rate is usually fixed, set by the Central Bank of Tunisia. Foreign currency can be exchanged at exchange offices, banks, as well as specialized exchange offices in ports, airports or hotels, and only at the fixed rate of the Central Bank of Tunisia. When exchanging, it is recommended to take a receipt, which is the main document for the reverse exchange for foreign currency - the exchange is made only at the airport and only if there is a receipt for the primary exchange. Traveler's checks and credit cards are accepted without restriction in many shops, restaurants and hotels. ATM machines can also be found in all major cities and tourist centers.

Transport

Taxi. There are several types of them in Tunisia. When moving within the same settlement, you should stop a yellow taxi. For a trip to another city, both the so-called "big taxi" (payment of travel by the meter) and a special minibus with a fixed route are intended. The fare in Tunisian taxis is relatively low.

Car rental

Accessible to anyone over the age of 21 and whose driver's license was issued more than a year ago. Traffic rules are not much different from Russian ones. The speed of movement in cities is 50 km / h, on all roads of the island of Djerba - 70 km / h, on the highway - 90 km / h (if there are no special signs).

Those wishing to go deep into the desert are obliged to warn the employees of special posts about their trip and the chosen route.

Bus service.

With the help of a bus, you can get to almost any corner of the country - you just need to find out the schedule and the place of the bus stop following the route you need.

Tram-type transport, so named after the first letters of the main destinations that can be reached with its help (Tunis - la Goullet - la Marsa).

Domestic air traffic

The local airline "Tuninter" operates flights between the main cities of the country (Tunisia, Monastir, Sfax, Tozeur, Tabarka, Djerba island).

Water.

Water in Tunisia is safe for health, but it differs in composition from water in Russia, so we recommend that you drink water from plastic bottles, which can be bought at any store or bar.

Alcohol.

During Ramadan, the faithful Tunisians - Muslims from dawn to dusk do not smoke or eat. Therefore, it is better for tourists to refrain from smoking, drinking and eating on the city streets. You can drink and smoke on site. At any time, it is better not to invite unfamiliar Tunisians to smoke, drink wine or beer, and especially to share strong drinks. It is not customary for Muslims to eat while standing or on the move, as well as to look in the face of a person busy with food. The attitude to alcohol is much calmer here than in the countries of orthodox Islam. Tunisia produces excellent dry and table wines, several types of beer. French masters still consult Tunisians. Let's name such varieties: tart and heavy "Chateau Mornag", red and pink and lighter "Magon". The liqueur from dates and herbs "Tibarin" is distinguished by its original taste. But fig vodka "Bukha" is similar to our moonshine (but very high quality).

Purchases

In a number of cities and large villages of Tunisia, ancient crafts have been preserved: in Kairouan, El-Jem, Udrefa, Qusaybat-el-Madyuni - carpet weaving; in Nabul, Moknin and on the island of Djerba - pottery; in Sousse - brass products; in Buder, Ksar-Hellal, Bu-Himar - weaving from wool; in Hergl and Moknin - weaving straw baskets for olives, etc. Handicraft workshops and small trade are concentrated in the local bazaar (souk) located in the old part of the city. Market days in different cities are different: in Sousse - Sunday, in Moknin - Wednesday, etc. In Jemmal, once a week, a camel bazaar is organized, known throughout Tunisia and willingly visited by tourists. The most popular shopping and souvenirs in Tunisia are finely crafted gold and silver items, as well as copper dishes - such plates and dishes are used in everyday life. Floral aromas are also a part of Tunisian life - try geranium-scented tea and cakes made with rose syrup, a bottle of which you can bring home.

Local features

Remember that photographing locals takes tact and foresight. It is also impolite to look closely at women in a veil. Respecting the feelings of believers, it is better not to walk around the capital and the old Muslim quarters of cities in shorts and too open T-shirts. In the resort areas, tourists can dress easily and freely. It is also not customary here to drink water after a fatty dinner, and bread is usually broken off by hand. Safety in general and tourists in particular is monitored everywhere. And, nevertheless, petty theft is possible, especially in crowded places where pickpockets “work”.

Tips

Tipping is customary in Tunisia. In cafes and restaurants, a tip is 10% of the order value, but as a rule, it is already included in the price of your order. Tipping the taxi driver is also 10% of the cost of the trip.

Telephone

You can call from Tunisia in the following ways: There are telephone booths labeled "taxiphones". To make a call using a payphone, you need to purchase a telephone card. A three-minute conversation with Russia or Ukraine will cost about 10 dinars, during the conversation, keep an eye on the counter, each time dropping coins. If you call from a hotel room, the cost of this service is approximately 3 times higher than a call from a pay phone.

How to call Russia (from Tunisia): 00 +7 (Russia code) + city code (Moscow - 495) + phone.

How to call Tunisia (for example from Russia): 8 +10 +216 (Tunisia code) + area code + telephone.

Codes of some cities in Tunisia: Nabeul, Hammamet - 72, Magdia, Sousse, Monastir - 73, Sfax region - 74, Djerba - 75, Tunisia - 71.

The procedure for passing through passport control when entering Italy

General requirements

Important! When passing through passport control, the Italian border service officers may require you to present cash at the rate of 50 euros for each day of stay in Italy, as well as a voucher for hotel accommodation and a return air ticket (the date of departure from Italy must not be later than the expiration date of the tourist visa) ...
Tourists without a return air ticket, as well as those who are unable to present the financial guarantees necessary to stay in the country for the duration of the trip, may be deported.

Upon arrival at the hotel

Accommodation procedure varies from hotel to hotel, but usually looks like this:

  • Present your passport and voucher (1 copy) at the reception desk.
    The hotel employee can then:
    • ask you to fill out a registration card in English;
    • ask for your passport in order to make a photocopy of it (check at the reception when you can collect your passport),
    • ask for a copy of your credit card as a guarantee;
    • ask you to pay the resort fee (see file for printout). In case the receptionist did not ask you to pay the check-in fee, be prepared to pay it at the time of check-out.

Checkout time in most hotels is 10:00, but sometimes rooms in city hotels can be ready later - from 14:00 to 16:00, and in hotels in sea and ski resorts even from 15:00 to 17:00; in this case, things can be left in the hotel's storage room. In case of problems with placement, please contact your company representative.

After checking into your room, check the information provided by the hotel. Pay attention to what services are paid, and how much they cost (as a rule, the information is in the folder and lies on the table or bedside table).

During your stay

Do not forget to pay bills in advance for additional services at the hotel: telephone calls, use of the minibar, laundry, dry cleaning, etc.

Before using the service, find out how much it costs. In the event of a conflict situation with the administration of the hotel or restaurant (for example, refusal to pay for services), the administration representative has the right to act in accordance with Italian rules and laws.

There are no ironing rooms in Italian hotels, the use of iron in the rooms is strictly prohibited. Check the lead time (usually at least 24 hours) before handing over your items to the laundry.

Hotels are often located in historic buildings, rooms of the same category may vary in layout, size, etc.

When booking a single room, keep in mind that you are paying a considerable amount only for "solitude", and these rooms are much smaller than a standard double room.

Smoking in hotels in common areas (hall, restaurant, bar) is prohibited. The hotels have many non-smoking rooms.

Nutrition

Changes to the menu during breakfasts and dinners at the request of the tourist, as well as the order of additional dishes and drinks are paid by the tourist himself.

Tune in to the specifics of food in advance: in hotels in Italy, breakfast is traditionally "intensified continental", that is, very light, usually consisting of coffee / tea, rolls, jam and butter, can be cold cuts and cheese, yogurt, fruits, muesli. It is customary to dine in Italy plentifully: dinner, rather, resembles a three-course lunch. Drinks are not included in the dinner price, except for special dinners specified in the tour program.

Excursions and transfers

Group excursions and transfers: ordered and paid services, such as transfers, excursions are provided to the tourist only at the time specified in the program or voucher, which can be specified by the accompanying person on the spot, depending on specific circumstances (for example: a plane delay, traffic jams, bus breakdown, guide's illness).

Individual excursions and transfers: for each individual service there must be a separate voucher, which indicates the day, time, meeting place, as well as a contact phone number to call in case of problems and questions.

Individual excursions to museums: entrance tickets are paid locally, waiting in line with the guide shortens the tour time (long queues at the Vatican Museums, the Uffizzi Gallery).

Individual transfers: waiting time at the airport is 60 minutes after the actual landing of the flight. In case of significant delays (more than 60 minutes), the transfer may not be provided. If you cannot find a representative meeting you or a group with a sign, please call the phone numbers indicated in the voucher. An individual transfer does not imply the obligatory presence of an accompanying guide; the driver on the transfer, as a rule, speaks English in addition to Italian.

In case of loss of baggage at the airport, as well as in the event of force majeure, it is imperative to contact the tourist support service by the phone number specified in your voucher.

For things left on the bus, forgotten in the hotel and other places, neither the accompanying group, nor travel companies, nor the administration of hotels, restaurants, transport companies are responsible.

Meeting with the hotel guide (for residents of the resort)

The time of the informational meeting with the hotel guide will be advised by your companion on the way to the hotel. At the appointed time, we invite you to come to a meeting with the hotel guide, who will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby (in some hotels there is a separate room for info-meetings). Bring your passport, voucher, return flight ticket to the meeting.

For all questions and problems, please contact the hotel guide or the hotel reception. You will find out the coordinates of the guide (name, mobile phone) at the information meeting. Please note that guides are not in hotels. After an information meeting, it is possible to contact the guide by phone, which he will leave for you.

Attention! On some TEZ TOUR routes there is no operational service. Information support for tourists is provided by phone numbers, the numbers of which can be found in the package of documents.

General country information

Geographical position

Italy is located in southern Europe in the central Mediterranean and occupies the Apennine Peninsula, the islands of Sicily and Sardinia and other small islands. The shores of Italy are washed by the waters of 5 seas: in the west - the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian, in the east - the Adriatic, in the south - the Ionian and Mediterranean. Useful information

The shops

Venetian masks are a wonderful souvenir

Shops are open from Monday to Saturday 9.00 - 19.30. Some are also open on Sundays. Lunch breaks are usually from 13.00 to 15.30. Many tourist-oriented shops, department stores and supermarkets are also open on Sundays.

A system of seasonal discounts is widespread, especially in winter (from early January) and summer (from early July).

Especially popular are "fashion towns" - country outlets, which can be found in almost any region of Italy: a large selection of shops, incl. famous brands in which products are sold at discounts.

TAX-FREE in most large and well-known stores.

Souvenirs

From every region of Italy you can bring souvenirs, including edible ones, not like souvenirs from other regions.

  • Rome: rosary, figurines depicting the symbols of the Eternal City: the Capitoline she-wolf, gladiators, the Colosseum.
  • Florence: a copy of the famous statue of David, a notebook made of Florentine paper, terracotta products, and of course the jewelry and leather goods for which this city is so famous.
  • Venice: carnival mask, carnival doll - the character of the Commedia dell'Arte, Murano glass products and ornaments, lace and embroidery from the island of Burano.
  • Milan: here we are talking primarily about fashion items, and from souvenirs you can recommend souvenirs related to Ferrari, Formula 1, football.
  • Verona: a figurine of Romeo and Juliet, a copy of the Arena - the famous Verona amphitheater, the famous Amarone wine.
  • Sicily: ceramics, lava products, statuettes depicting a Sicilian holiday carriage.
  • Pisa: a replica of the leaning tower.
  • Siena: things with symbols / coats of arms of conrad - different areas of this city.
  • Padua: candles from the Cathedral of St. Anthony of Padua and his image.
  • Bologna: replicas of two towers, symbols of the city: Torre Asinelli and Torre Garisenda, which were built in the 12th century.

And of course edible souvenirs: cheese, wine, liqueurs, grappa, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pastries, sausages and pasta, coffee, sauces, which are also unique in each region. Cheeses: Parmesan, Mozzarella, Gorgonzola, Grana Padano, Asiago and many others. Wines and liqueurs: impossible even to list. Desserts: from hard cantucci and torrone to the most delicate panforte. Pasta: penne, spaghetti, tortellini, tagliatelle, tortellini, etc. You can safely buy them in any city or village in Italy and at your home they will remind you of sunny fragrant Italy with its excellent cuisine.

Museums, churches

Churches: most churches are open from early morning until 12.00 or 12.30, then they close for 2-3 hours, reopen in the afternoon and remain open to the public until 19.00 or even later.

Major cathedrals and basilicas, including St. Peter's Basilica, are open all day. The cathedrals have vending machines that turn on the lighting of church interiors. It is convenient to view the paintings on the ceilings and domes of churches through binoculars. With all the liberalism of the Italians, you will not be allowed to go to church or cathedral in shorts and too open dresses.

Museums: the day off for museums is usually Monday (except for the Vatican Museums). Museum opening hours vary and also depend on the season.

Restaurants

Italian cuisine is loved in many countries around the world. For her alone, it would be worth going to Italy. You can enjoy all the nuances of Italian cuisine both in the most expensive restaurant and in modest trattorias. The quality of the food does not depend on the amount of the bill.

Please note that many restaurants, cafes and pizzerias close for lunch between 15:00 and 19:00. There is a day off in restaurants.

The Italian meal itself looks like this:

Antipasti are served as a snack - croutons with tomatoes, olives, smoked meats, carpaccio.

The first course is pasta seasoned with various sauces, the recipes of which have been passed down from generation to generation. Pasta is what is called pasta in Russia: spaghetti, horns, noodles, noodles (tagliatelle), feathers (penne), ears, shells, etc. The "first" category also includes rice dishes, for example, the famous risotto and, more rarely, soup, which Italians mostly eat during dinner.

The Italian second is a steak with blood or a crispy crust, the most delicate fish, a variety of seafood (squid, shrimp, lobster, lobster, octopus), baked poultry. All this is accompanied by excellent Italian wine.

The selection of desserts is huge: fresh fruit or macedonia (fruit salad), tiramisu, profiteroles, panacotta, traditional biscuits and semifreddo cakes, and, of course, Italian ice cream.

At the end of the meal is served "digestivo", as a rule, it is "amaro" - a herbal balm that helps digestion, or grappa - the famous Italian grape vodka.

And be sure to have a cup of coffee: espresso, americano, macchiato, but not cappuccino, which Italians drink only in the morning.

It is better to try real pizza in a pizzeria, where pizza is cooked in front of your eyes, in real ovens, on the wood (forno a legna).

Tips

The tip system applies to the services of waiters in bars and restaurants, maids in hotels, taxi drivers and guides and is 5-10% of the order value. Paying a tip is optional, but if a customer is satisfied with the service, a tip is a sign of good form.

Transport

Italy has a well-developed intercity network. Trains and buses are convenient for movement. The super-fast Eurostar trains are especially popular. Before boarding the train, it is necessary to validate the ticket (yellow / orange boxes are installed in the station building and on the platforms).

There are metro stations in Rome, Milan, Naples, Genoa and Catania.

Tram and bus tickets are sold at tobacco and newsstands. One ticket allows travel on all types of public transport (metro, bus, tram) with transfers within 75-90 minutes after you have validated it.

It is very difficult to "catch" a taxi on the street. You need to go to a special parking lot or call a car by phone from a hotel, bar, or shop.

To rent a car, you need an international driver's license and a credit card.

Medical service

Medicine is mostly paid. If during your holiday you need the help of a doctor, then immediately contact your insurance company. The company's phone number is indicated on the insurance policy. The insurance company will tell you which medical center or hospital to go to.

First aid kit

Before the trip, set up and take with you a first-aid kit that will help you with mild ailments, save you time searching for medicines and save you from the problems of communicating in a foreign language, in addition, many medicines may have different names in different countries.

Time

Time lags behind Moscow by 1 hour during summer time, by 2 hours during winter time.

Money, work of banks

The monetary unit is Euro (EURO), 1 EURO = 100 eurocent. Banknotes: 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 euros. Coins: 2 and 1 euro; 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 cents.
Currency exchange can be done at banks, at the hotel (the rate is not very favorable) and at the airport.

Banks are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and on weekdays they are open from 8.30 to 13.30 and from 15.00 to 16.30.

Exchange offices have a more convenient work schedule, but when exchanging, pay attention to the amount of commission charged. In addition, dollars can be exchanged at ATMs, in which case only 10, 20 and 50 USD bills are accepted.

It is convenient to use credit cards, which are accepted in almost all major stores, gas stations, restaurants, cafes and hotels.

Mains voltage

The voltage of the mains is 220 V, 50 Hz, but sometimes 127 V is also found (usually the voltage is indicated on the outlet or near it). The sockets are of the European type, therefore, there may be a discrepancy between the plug of Russian household appliances and computers and the Italian sockets. In this case, an adapter is required.

Veterinary control

Pets can be imported into Italy with a veterinarian certificate and valid rabies vaccinations.

Customs regulations

There is a restriction on the import of tobacco, alcohol and perfume. Duty free you can go through the Italian customs, having in your suitcase no more than 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars, 1 liter of spirits or 2 liters of wine, 50 grams of perfume and 0.25 liters of cologne. There are no restrictions on the import of foreign currency. The export of large amounts must be cleared by the customs authorities. Meat and dairy products are prohibited for import into Italy, and at some airports it is prohibited to enter any products.

In addition to personal belongings, every citizen of a country outside the European Union entering Italy can bring in personal items needed during travel duty-free. Personal items are understood as items and things that are used by a foreigner visiting the country, consumes them or uses them for their professional activities. At the same time, the purpose of these items and things must correspond to the nature and purpose of the trip around the country. The number of imported items and things is usually not limited.

For the export of works of art, precious stones and archaeological values, it is necessary to present a sales receipt and permission from the Italian Ministry of Fine Arts.

Telephones

Calls from Italy to Russia: +7 + area code + subscriber number.

Calls to Italy from Russia: landline numbers 8-10-39 + city code, starting with "0" + subscriber number; mobile phones +39 + subscriber's number ("0" is not dialed before the mobile phone number).
