TOURIST REVIEWS:

Hua Hin Royal Resort.

Hua Hin is one of the most respectable places in Thailand. It has stunning white sand, clear water and wonderful weather. Hua Hin is known as the Royal Resort; it is in Hua Hin that the summer palace is located, a favorite vacation spot for the royal family. This place combines the luxury of huge hotels and the beauty of virgin nature. There are no nightclubs or bars in this resort, so Hua Hin has become a favorite vacation spot for couples with children.

The pride of Hua Hin can be considered a huge beach, almost 5 km long. This is one of the cleanest beaches in the country. On the territory of the royal resort there are only high-level hotels, 4 and 5 stars. Golf is the most developed entertainment here. Numerous golf courses, located throughout the area, suggest that this is a predominantly gentleman's destination. There are many water activities on the beaches, yachting, windsurfing, jet skis. Also in Hua Hin, you can go horse or elephant riding, go fishing or see local attractions, royal residences, waterfalls and national parks. A large number of temples are striking in their beauty. Here, in the temple of Wat Nerancharama, the world's largest statue of the six-armed Buddha is kept.

We can safely say that Hua Hin is the best place for an interesting, modern and at the same time relaxing holiday.

Prices for holidays in Hua Hin. March 2019.

tour cost

Airplane tickets cost 33 thousand rubles per person. We came for two weeks. For December-March, you need to purchase tickets in advance - in summer-autumn, closer to the dates the prices are much higher.

Thailand is a visa-free country for citizens of the Russian Federation. Upon entry, a stamp is put for a period of stay of 30 days. It's free.

We arrived in Bangkok - the capital of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi airport. Hua Hin is located 200 km south of the airport and can be reached in several ways: by bus, the ticket price is about 600 rubles (the local currency is Baht, but I will indicate it in rubles for convenience) or by taxi, the cost is about 3500-4000 rubles one way ... It takes about 3 hours by taxi, 4 hours by bus. We chose a taxi because the bus is tied to a schedule. Taxis were booked in advance at one of the companies, which is very convenient - we were greeted with a sign at the exit, quickly loaded and drove off. After 3 hours we were in Hua Hin.

This city has a large selection of hotels and apartments for every taste and budget. Prices start from 1400-1500 rubles per room in a small guesthouse.

We chose a serviced apartment in the Takiab area. 5 minutes walk to the beach, there are many cafes and sun loungers on the beach. Apartment rent was about 2,000 rubles per day. The price included cleaning once a week, utilities.

There are few attractions in Hua Hin itself. But there is where to ride around. We rented a car for a few days and drove around. The rental price was about 2,000 rubles per day for a sedan. Left-hand traffic, international driving license is required. We made them in advance in Russia. There are very few excursion agencies, there are no Russian-speaking ones. We went to several zoos, to remote beaches, visited several famous temples. All places are worth visiting.

Food and groceries

Food prices, as in the case of hotels, are very different. Restaurants with Thai cuisine are inexpensive: rice with chicken, pork 50-70 rubles per serving, with seafood a little more expensive. We often went to the market to buy fruits and fish: grilled fish 200 rubles, pineapple 30-40 rubles, mango 40 rubles / kg, but this is the price in the mango season (March-April). Imported products are expensive in Thailand, i.e. apples, cheese, wine are more expensive than in Moscow. Local beer, good quality from 80 rubles per bottle, imported wine from 800-1000 rubles per bottle for more or less decent.

Souvenirs and other goods

The city is not very good for shopping. There are only two small shopping malls, but summer basic clothes and beach shoes can be found. Prices start at 200 rubles for a T-shirt or flip-flops. There is no point in buying equipment - the prices are the same as in Russia. This is not the first time we have been to Thailand and we always carry: Thai ointments - 200 rubles for a large jar, local face masks - 50-100 rubles per package, dried mango - 100 rubles per package, inhalers - 30-40 rubles apiece, crystal deodorants - 30-40 rubles apiece.

The Malacca Peninsula, located in the south of Thailand, was chosen for recreation by the king at the beginning of the 20th century. In a former fishing village, the Klai Gangwon Palace grew up, which means "secluded, far from the hustle and bustle", and after that the village itself grew to the size of a town now known as the Hua Hin resort.

And although the area of the city and its population have increased, Hua Hin has not lost its privacy, turning into a cozy place for family holidays. It is famous for its beauty, sandy beaches, and also - safety: since the royal couple are still here on vacation, the city police are taking increased measures to protect law and order.

If you prefer a vacation with children in Hua Hin, freedom from worries, peace of mind and a few pleasant discoveries await you. Why this is so, read our review.

Hua Hin on Thailand map

Hua Hin is one of the oldest resorts in Thailand. It is located in the north of the Malacca Peninsula, on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand, 220 km from Bangkok. Hua Hin is the administrative center of the municipal district in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

The place where Hua Hin is located is very convenient for tourists. If you want to escape from the everyday whirlwind, you can sunbathe on quiet beaches and swim in the sea. But as soon as boredom starts to creep in, it is worth taking a bus and in a couple of hours be in Bangkok, where there are amusement parks, play centers and children's museums.

Vacation with children

Holidays in Hua Hin are appreciated by both Thais and tourists. And this is not surprising: a calm, safe resort near the capital is good in many ways... First, Hua Hin is easily accessible by plane, train or bus from Bangkok. Traveling to the place of rest will not tire the child, which means that immediately after arrival you can leave your things in the room and go to the sea.

Secondly, Hua Hin is a solid resort. In terms of respectability, it is often compared to Pattaya, but Hua Hin is more suitable for families with children due to the silence and lack of noisy nightlife. Life here is measured and peaceful, so you can really relax with your child.

Thirdly, the tourist infrastructure is well established in the town. There are many luxury hotels here, although you can find an apartment or a guesthouse for relatively little money.

One of the advantages of traveling to Hua Hin with children is family hotels. They take it upon themselves to decide how to feed the children, how to organize their leisure time and how to provide parents with the opportunity to relax. In such hotels, you can relax even with a baby.

In terms of entertainment, Hua Hin can be recommended for preschoolers and younger students. They will enjoy elephant trekking, visiting game centers and water parks. If you are going on vacation with teenagers, we advise you to visit Bangkok, where there are many more interesting places.

When is the best time to go

The weather forecast seems to be a clear indication of when is the best time to go to Hua Hin. The best time to relax on the beach is from December to Marchwhen there is no rain, stupefying heat and high humidity.

In winter and early spring, it is easiest for children to adapt to the new climate, which means that most of the vacation can be devoted to beaches, walks and excursions.

The high season in Hua Hin starts in November, and the maximum number of tourists comes to the resort in the winter months. It is advisable to book accommodation for this time in the summer, since the best options are sorted out long before the start of the season.

I must say that there are several reasons to visit the resort before the opening of the season in Hua Hin or after it closes. For example, in November, Thais celebrate Loy Krathong.

The main event of the holiday is the launching of flower boats with candles. But besides this, solemn processions and theatrical performances are organized in cities.

Thailand celebrates the New Year in April. There are fun festivities on the streets, and be prepared to be doused with water - for good luck.

Weather and climate

Winter in Hua Hin is summer. And summer is also summer. And the hottest summer is spring. Jokes aside, Hua Hin's tropical climate means constant heat and high humidity.

The most pleasant weather, without rains and strong heat, lasts at the resort from December to March.

In December-January, the temperature is + 30 ° C, but already in February it starts to rise and by March it reaches + 33 ° C. The nights are relatively cool, around + 24-25 ° C. You can't imagine a better vacation in Hua Hin with children than a vacation in winter and early spring.

It starts to rain in May. First - at night, leaving not a single puddle by morning. But the closer to autumn, the longer the showers last. In September-October, precipitation does not stop for several days.

And since the air temperature is kept at + 32-33 ºС, the heat, due to the high humidity, seems unbearable. And if summer can still be chosen for a vacation with a child, then autumn is absolutely not suitable for a trip.

A vacation in Hua Hin should be planned no earlier than November. There is much less rainfall, clear days prevail, and the air temperature is + 30-32 ° C. For a trip with an infant to Hua Hin, we recommend choosing the winter months with stable dry weather.

Sea water temperature

The sea temperature in Hua Hin differs little from the air temperature. If the temperature in the resort is + 33 ° C, the water warms up to + 30 ° C. If the air cools down to + 30 ° C, as it happens in winter, the water temperature in Hua Hin drops to + 27 ° C. In any case, the water is never colder than + 25 ° C.

Detailed information is superfluous - but how happy it makes the heart:

  • December- + 27.8 ° C
  • January - + 27 ° C
  • February - + 27.6 ° C
  • March - + 28.9 ° C
  • April - + 30 ° C

Food

In most Hua Hin hotels, room rates include buffet breakfasts. You can also dine and dine in hotel restaurants, where the cuisine is focused on the needs of tourists. The menu contains dishes of European and Thai cuisine, so a child who eats from an adult table will not go hungry.

Choosing where it is better with children, some tourists prefer to rent a room with a kitchen or an apartment to cook on their own. In Hua Hin, there are no problems with the purchase of food: everything you need is sold in supermarkets, small shops and markets.

If you decide to devote an independent vacation in Hua Hin with children to the fullest acquaintance with Thailand, then you will certainly be interested in Thai cuisine. Local dishes are mostly spicy, so small children need to order food without spices.

Transport

Hua Hin public transport is a popular songteo throughout Thailand, that is, pickup trucks converted to carry passengers. There are no soft seats, no air conditioners, not even windows in the songteo, but travel costs only 10-40 TNV (tickets for children cost the same).

Songteo does not have numbers, but the route can be identified by color. The green songteos run through the center, along the coastline, and can be used to get to the bus station and the airport. The whites are convenient for getting to the train station, supermarkets and markets. Oranges drive through the secondary streets.

Songteo does not have a schedule as such, but from morning until 18-19 o'clock they run every 15-30 minutes.

Intercity transport in Hua Hin is somewhat more comfortable. Old, but quite efficient buses go to Cha-Am, the fare in which costs about 60 TNV. Phuket and Krabi can be reached by air-conditioned buses, but the journey will cost 450 TVN.

The most expensive option for getting around Hua Hin is a taxi. A short trip will cost at least 200 TNV, and you need to bargain for this price. If you prefer travel rather than walking, you can rent a car. Car rental companies operate in both Hua Hin and Bangkok.

The city got its name Hua Hin for the rocks scattered along the coast - from a distance they look like stone heads, "huahin".

Hua Hin is the seat of Thai kings and the venue for official government meetings. The Thai king built his summer palace here for a reason: he really liked the local landscapes and the atmosphere of tranquility. The palace is named "Far from the hustle and bustle" and is open for excursions. The royal family comes here to rest, and the monarchs certainly know how to have a good rest. The resort is also a favorite vacation spot for locals: Thais come here on holidays or weekends to enjoy a quiet pastime on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand.

The city pays great attention to the safety of local residents and vacationers. The infrastructure of the resort is well developed; there are shopping centers, shops, markets and hospitals.

When choosing a resort, it is worth noting that there is no nightlife in Hua Hin. If you are looking for a lot of fun after sunset, then you should choose another vacation spot. Otherwise, we can safely say that everyone, without exception, will enjoy a vacation in Hua Hin.

Beaches

Hua Hin's beaches attract tourists from all over the world. The sand here is snow-white and soft, and the sea is much cleaner than in Pattaya. The coastlines, although they cannot be called bounty, will nevertheless please both couples in love and families with children or single tourists. In Hua Hin, you can always find that secluded place where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Some beaches can be your favorite places to meditate.

While vacationing in Hua Hin, you can relax on any of several beaches in the city: City Beach, Thakiab Beach, Tao Beach, Suan Son Beach, Sai Noi Beach (Sai Noi Beach) or outside the resort. Hua Hin's beaches are shallow, making the resort ideal for families with children.

Not many tourists know that the first official seaside resort in Thailand was once a quiet town on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand called Hua Hin. Today it is a favorite vacation spot for the royal couple with a beautiful beach, surrounded by lush tropical forests, some of which have been declared protected areas.

General information

In 1922, King Rama VI decided to build himself a country residence. To do this, he chose a quiet fishing village, which at that time was called Samore Riang, which means "Rocky Line". The new palace was given the name Klai Kangwon (Far from the hustle and bustle), which fully justified its serenity and solitude. The king was followed to the village by his nobles, and soon, the provincial town turned into a prestigious area intended for relaxing and respectable rest. In 1934, the fishing village and the adjoining resort were renamed Hua Hin, which means Stone Head.

Climate

The mild climate of Hua Hin allows you to enjoy your holidays in this region almost all year round.

As in all of Thailand, there are three seasons in Hua Hin:

  1. Rainy (June - October). Compared to other regions, the rainy season is the least pronounced here, while September is the wettest month of the year. Usually these are rare short showers, sometimes with thunderstorms, which only delight with their appearance and do not interfere with rest at all.
  2. Cool (November - February). At the same time, January is distinguished by the "coldest" weather in Hua Hin. At this time, the temperature sometimes drops to as much as + 18 ° C, and the region has the largest tourist flow.
  3. Hot (March - May). The peak temperature is in May (+ 39 ° С).

Geography

Hua Hin is a district of the western province of Thailand, Prachuab Khiri Khan. The city is located on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand, 240 kilometers from Bangkok, and covers an area of 86 km², and its surroundings - 839 km². On a magnificent high-speed road, the journey from the capital to the resort takes no more than 2.5 hours.

Population

The population of Hua Hin is about 100 thousand people. Among them you can often find expats from all over the world and tourists - more often Europeans, there are also Russians, but very few. The majority of local residents are Thais professing Buddhism. Also here you can meet Burmese who come to Hua Hin to work.

Nature and landscape

It was not in vain that the king chose Hua Hin for his country residence. The beautiful beach and clear sea, surrounded by picturesque jungle hills, create an idyllic picture of a paradise where you can enjoy a relaxing holiday all day long.

Time in Hua Hin

Difference with Moscow: + 3 hours

Coordinated Universal Time in Hua Hin, as well as in Bangkok: UTC +7

Tongue

The main language in Hua Hin is Thai. Due to the large number of tourists from Europe, you can often hear English, German, French speech here, but locals use English to communicate with tourists. There are few Russian tourists in Hua Hin, and, accordingly, the Russian language is heard extremely rarely. Without knowledge of English it will be difficult here to communicate with anyone.

Orientation

Geographically, the resort is divided by the main streets:

  • Petchkasem Road is the city's main road along the coast.
  • Damnoenkasem Road crosses Pechkasem Road in the city center and leads directly to the main beach of Hua Hin.

Features of rest

Although the official residence of the king is the Royal Palace in Bangkok, Rama IX prefers the Klai Gangwon apartment in Hua Hin. Today this city is a quiet and peaceful place where wealthy Thais and respectable foreigners rest.

Hua Hin traditionally competes with Pattaya for the title of the best beach resort near Bangkok. Although it would be wrong to compare these two cities, they are so strikingly different from each other. Hua Hin has a relatively clean sea and beach, although not the same as on the islands, but much cleaner than in Pattaya. People come here for a relaxing beach holiday with their families, far from the bustle and noise of the capital. There is no such hectic nightlife as in Pattaya, and therefore lovers of such entertainment will be bored here.

Features of life in Hua Hin

The infrastructure of Hua Hin is somewhat less developed than, for example, in Phuket or Pattaya. However, the relative proximity to Bangkok completely solves some of the problems. There is a large selection of housing, including many options for long-term residence of foreigners, only it is better to rent it. until August, since the Europeans start their holidays in October, and all the best options are booked until January.

In Hua Hin, there are quite a few kindergartens, schools and universities where you can get a good education, the only thing that is required for this is a good knowledge of English.

Transport

Public transport in the city is represented primarily by songteo. They follow certain routes. The cost of the trip is 10 baht. It is better to negotiate the cost of travel in a tuk-tuk in advance. However, sometimes a songteo can travel like a taxi and then the minimum fare can be 100-200 baht.

Regardless of the distance, the cost of a taxi ride in Hua Hin will start at 200 baht. There are no classic taxi meters there, and the price must be negotiated in advance. A cheaper, but less comfortable alternative to taxi travel can be a motorcycle or bicycle taxi.

And yet it is more convenient and cheapest to get around Hua Hin by your own transport. The city has a large number of offices for renting motorbikes or bicycles.

Beaches

The only beach in the city, Hat Hua Hin, stretches for 5 kilometers from the south to the rocky promontory. There is relatively clear sea and white sand, however, during high tides, most of the beach tends to be completely hidden under water.

Near the city, but officially outside of it, there is another excellent beach overlooking the Khao Takiab rock. Further away is the beach of the Thai army, Suan Son, which is also open to all comers.

There are always a lot of sun loungers and umbrellas on the city beach. Sometimes they charge a fee of 100 baht. Some of the sun loungers are owned by beachside cafes, which provide them free of charge to their customers only.

Food

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants in Hua Hin. The establishments located on the beach or on Khao Takiap are mainly aimed at tourists, and, accordingly, have higher prices. More democratic cafes can be found on the Pechkasem track. For example, on Naresdamri Road there are several restaurants with nice prices and wonderful sea views.

In addition to traditional Thai, city restaurants offer a wide variety of European, Japanese and Indian cuisine.

You can have an inexpensive snack at the 24-hour markets or in the Tesco shopping complex. There, having given about 25-45 bases per serving, you can have a wonderful and satisfying lunch. On top of that, there are 119 establishments in Hua Hin, aka BBQ Thai buffet, which is a huge buffet of ready-to-eat or semi-finished products. The cost of one portion is 119 baht.

Accommodation in Hua Hin

The city has a large selection of hotels and guesthouses, especially in the central part of the city. Due to the fact that the resort is preferred mainly by the wealthy public, it is dominated by the offer of middle and high-class housing, costing from 2,000 baht per night. It is possible to stay here cheaply (within 300 baht / day), but every year it becomes more difficult, especially in the high season.

In addition to hotel accommodation in Hua Hin, there is a large offer of individual housing of various levels. These can be condos (apartments), and large houses with their own garden and pool. Renting a house by the sea is, as a rule, from 20,000 baht per month. But, basically, you can rent a small house here for 15,000 baht per month, with one bedroom and a kitchen, 15-30 minutes walk from the sea.

The condo offer in Hua Hin is also very diverse, but compared to Pattaya it is very small. Here you can rent a studio for 15,000-20,000 baht, as well as a large apartment with several bedrooms in a high-rise condominium on the beach. Such placement can cost from 30,000 baht per month.

sights

In addition to the main beach, there are several other interesting attractions in Hua Hin and its surroundings. The surrounding area is rich in natural parks, offering breathtaking views of sea cliffs, picturesque hills and emerald jungle. Among them, the eleven-tiered Palau Falls carries its waters among the rainforest, which is home to many beautiful birds and butterflies. Or Sam Roy Yot National Park is famous for its mangrove swamps and limestone mountains. Rare bird species live here. The natural attractions of the city are complemented by various architectural monuments, the largest of which are the Big Buddha Temple and, of course, the Summer Royal Palace.

Entertainment

The sea, the beach and the tropical sun are the number one entertainment in Hua Hin, which numerous travel brochures keep talking about. But in addition to a beach holiday, the city offers its guests a wide range of activities and entertainment that can diversify their vacation. Separately, it should be noted that the resort's nightlife is quiet and serene. Therefore, fans of noisy parties here will clearly miss. This place is more suitable for tourists who want a relaxing holiday or for couples with children.

Golf

This game is very popular in Hua Hin, there are several excellent golf courses that meet world standards. Most golf clubs offer a free shuttle service to their clients.

SPA and massage

Due to the specificity of the public visiting Hua Hin, the beauty industry is well developed here. There are many salons in the city offering high quality spa treatments and massages for the most discerning palate. The masters use both traditional Thai techniques and the achievements of modern science.

Walking

Hiking and cycling are also popular in Hua Hin. Calm road traffic, smooth urban landscape are conducive to leisurely and tireless travel.

Training courses

Lessons in silk weaving, basket weaving, pottery and embroidery are plentiful in the city. Also, everyone can learn the secrets of Thai cuisine in numerous culinary courses.

Prices in Hua Hin

If we compare the prices in Hua Hin with the prices of other tourist regions of Thailand, then, on average, they are slightly higher, but relative to Europe, they remain moderate.

The cost of rental housing is also higher here, as the supply of high-level apartments prevails. For example, a double room for two weeks at the beginning of the high season in a five-star hotel will cost from 80,000 baht. The lowest price level is around 2000 baht per day for a single room.

The shops

      • Hypermarket Makro Cash & Carry - wholesale and retail trade. It is located in the northern part of the city at the intersection of Petchkasem and Soi 4.
      • Market Village. A large shopping complex that has united under its roof many shops of various types. There is an underground parking and a children's room where you can leave your child. It is located in the central part of the city, at the intersection of Pechkasem and Soi 88/2. All floors of the center are occupied by footwear, clothing, perfumery, restaurants, food court, small eateries, bank branches and currency exchangers. On the 1st floor there is a Tesco Lotus (there is another Tesco in the south of the city on Pechkasem, opposite Soi 112) and a pharmacy. On the 2nd and 3rd floors there is a Home Pro hypermarket, children's stores, a bowling alley, a cinema.

      • Iindex living mall is an Ikea-style chain store. It is located on Pechkas between Soi 23 and 25.

How to get there

Hua Hin is located on the mainland of Thailand, so it is not that difficult to get to it, especially from Bangkok. You can choose the most convenient option for yourself. If you are traveling to Hua Hin from other cities in Thailand, read all about intercity and domestic flights Hua Hin Old Railway Station

The railway station is located right in the city center, so it is very convenient to get here by train. A significant disadvantage is the slow train travel from Bangkok, due to which a relatively short distance can be covered in 5 or 6 hours. The slowness of the train is compensated by the cheapness of tickets - from 44 to 100 baht.

By bus

In Hua Hin, buses from Bangkok leave every 20 minutes from the Sai Tai Mai terminal. Ticket price from 175 baht. The journey will take approximately 3.5 hours.

Taxi

You can get from the capital to the Hua Hin resort by taxi. The cost of the trip should be negotiated in advance. With the ability to bargain, you can bring down the price to 2500 baht. From the Airport the price of the trip will be higher. A taxi from Pattaya will cost a little more - 3000-3500 baht.

Cellular and Internet

In Hua Hin, as in all of Thailand, it is better and cheaper to use the services of local operators, which are represented here by three companies: 1-2-Call, TrueMove and DACT Happy. The city has points of access to the Internet via ADSL and wi-fi, although most tourists complain about the actual low speed.

The medicine

Thailand has long been famous for its high level of medicine and Hua Hin is no exception. Many tourists even come here specifically to improve their health, and some women choose Hua Hin clinics for childbirth. There are three large international hospitals in the city.

1. San Paulo, located on Pechkasem Road, near the Grand Market.

This hospital is under the patronage of Her Highness The Queen. Here you can communicate with the staff in English. The cost of admission is from 800 baht. The clinic cooperates with a large number of insurance companies, so you can apply here for insurance.

Departments:

  • pediatrics;
  • maternity hospital;
  • surgery (including plastic);
  • traumatology;

2. Hua Hin Hospital is also located on Pechkasem Road, but at the beginning of the city.

It is a general clinic with a large number of departments. No English is spoken here, but a free translator is provided. The cost of admission starts from 500 baht. There are long queues in the morning.

3. Bangkok International Hua Hin Hospital, located at the intersection of Pechkasem Road and Soi 94. Differs in higher prices (cost of admission from 1000 baht). The staff speaks English.

In addition to three large clinics in the suburb of Hua Hin, there are several other small hospitals:

  • Petcharat Hospital - Famous for the excellent quality of services provided. Usually they are taken here in case of serious problems.
  • Tranarat-Hospital. A military hospital with highly qualified specialists. The staff speaks only Thai. There are no translators. The cost of reception is from 50 baht.

In addition to hospitals, Hua Hin has many private practitioners of a wide variety of backgrounds. Their cost starts at 300 baht.

Security

Perhaps Hua Hin is one of the safest resorts in Thailand. This is largely due to the fact that the royal couple spend a lot of time here, and with them the whole nobility of Thailand. Therefore, the police are very careful to keep order. There is practically no prostitution and noisy bars with drunken tourists. Most of the visitors are old-age guests from Europe. However, this is not a reason to lose your guard and leave your belongings, money and documents unattended.

There are no particular natural hazards in Hua Hin. Here, as elsewhere in the kingdom, you can find a jellyfish in the sea or an unpleasant insect in the jungle. Therefore, the understanding that Thailand is a country with tropical nature, which is sometimes able to present an unpleasant surprise to an inattentive tourist, will definitely not hurt anyone.

Some of Hua Hin's guests note the large number of dogs in the region. Basically, animals sleep, imposingly stretched out in the shade, but sometimes they can bark at pedestrians passing by. This is unnerving for some, but it shouldn't be shown. It is better to calmly, not paying attention to insolent dogs, follow your own path.
