It's cheaper to fly to the Crimea. My experience of buying air tickets to Crimea - how I was catching cheap tickets for Aviasales

Airfare is one of the most significant expenses when planning a vacation. However, if the dates and destination are known in advance, you can save a lot on the flight. Going on vacation to Crimea, keep in mind that it is quite possible to buy cheap air tickets in 2020. Use our tips and find a thousand and one ways to spend your bonus money!

We are looking for the cheapest flights to Crimea

The key factors affecting the price of a flight are the season, the day of the week and the time left before departure. Considering them, you can travel cheap and often!

  • Even if you are planning a trip in the distant future, bookmark several sites that offer flights, from search services such as Aviasales to official airline websites. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletters. So you will know about promotions and sales and you can not miss out on cheap flights to Crimea. It is especially important to follow the offers to people who are more or less free to plan their schedule: perhaps, in order to save on tickets, it is worth postponing the vacation for a few weeks.
  • Pay attention to suggestions budget airlines... It is from their sites that you should start your search for cheap flights to Crimea in 2020. However, one must remember that sometimes they are "cunning" by offering the choice of a seat in the cabin, luggage transportation, meals on board as additional services and charging a separate fee for them. Study the offer carefully - then you will not go wrong.
  • A good alternative to independently searching for air tickets to Crimea from Moscow or another city in Russia would be to use a special search site - for example, the one already mentioned above Aviasales... is he will collect offers from all airlines and agencies according to the given parameters, compare them and give out the cheapest offer. Moreover, you will not be charged an additional commission: the payment of the commission is undertaken by agencies or airlines.
  • Search charter flights... They usually offer very favorable rates. However, be prepared for several disadvantages of such air travel: possible change in departure time, low level of service, inability to buy plane tickets in advance.
  • Buy air tickets to Crimea in 2020 as early as possible... As soon as you decide on your vacation dates, start your search immediately. The fewer seats remain on the plane, the higher the ticket price. Moreover, the resorts of Crimea are very popular this season, so flights to Simferopol are, in principle, very in demand. The cheapest air tickets to Crimea in 2020 can be bought if you take care of finding them in 2-2.5 months.
  • Pay for the return flight immediately... Most agencies and airlines will offer better fares if you take roundtrip tickets.
  • Flights to Crimea on direct flights are more expensive than with transfers. Try to search options with connecting flightsthat one company offers: most likely, they will allow you to save a lot. However, the medal also has a downside: travel time will at least double.
  • Search for cheap flights to Crimea on night or evening flights... Sometimes the price differs by 30-40%! True, you will have to take into account the costs of a taxi or come to terms with the need to wait for the first morning bus - at night you will not be able to leave the airport in Simferopol by public transport.
  • If you don't have a specific date binding try compare prices for flights on neighboring days... It often happens that they cost significantly less. The cheapest flights to Crimea in 2020 are offered in the middle of the week - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. And the most expensive - on Friday or any day before the holidays.
  • If you know that tickets for the flight you want will start selling on a certain date, do not postpone the purchase... Thanks to the Internet, you can buy air tickets to Crimea both at night and in the early morning. Moreover, on some sites at such an "unpopular" time, they are also cheaper.

I already wrote a detailed post about all the options, where I mentioned the planes. It makes sense to dwell on this in a little more detail.

At the moment, there are 4 airports in Crimea, but only one of which is operating - the international airport of Simferopol. Therefore, you will arrive there.

How much does it cost to fly to Crimea

The easiest way to fly to Crimea is from Moscow, and all of the airlines listed below have flights to Simferopol. The average price for a round-trip flight is about 5-15 thousand rubles, depending on the season. The cost rises closer to the season, so you need to monitor prices and buy tickets in advance if you want to save money.

There is also an observation that air tickets to Crimea are sold at a good price about 4 days before departure.

Alternatively, fly back and forth with different airlines by purchasing separate tickets. This was the last time I did it. To Simferopol Nord Wind, and back Ural Airlines. So maybe the flight price is lower, or the time is more convenient.

The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) compiles a list of flights that are subsidized every summer. Tickets are on sale from April to October. But the problem is that discount air tickets at a fixed rate are sold out instantly, that is, literally a few days after the start of sales.

Which airline to fly to Crimea

As you know, as a result of the transfer of Crimea to the Russian Federation, sanctions were introduced, one of which was the termination of international flights over the territory of the Crimean peninsula. But tourists still arrive in Crimea - just with a change, and only on the planes of Russian airlines.

Regular flights to Crimea are operated by airlines: Aeroflot and Russia, Ural Airlines, Nord Wind, Red Wings, Alrosa, Yakutia Airlines, Smartavia (formerly Nordavia), IrAero, Azimut. In fact, flights are carried out from all major cities of Russia.

Airline Pobeda, as far as I know, does not plan to fly to Crimea yet.

In the season, it can be problematic to buy a ticket for a direct route (only expensive fares remain). Therefore, passengers have to change trains in Moscow. Of course, this affects the ticket price: a ticket from remote regions of Russia can cost a couple of tens of thousands of rubles. Does it make sense to spend that kind of money? I do not know…

How to get from Simferopol airport

From the airport to Simferopol

Simferopol airport is located outside the city (12 km to the center). You can get to the center of Simferopol by public transport in 30-40 minutes. The stop is located near the airport and from there trolley buses (No. 9), as well as buses and minibuses (No. 49, 49A, 98, 115 and 117) go. Bus routes No. 49, 98 and 115 will take you to the railway station and the Kurortnaya bus station - from where most of the flights to the resort area of \u200b\u200bCrimea are carried out. By bus number 49 you can get to the Central Bus Station of the city.

The fare for a trolleybus is 7 rubles, for a bus and a fixed-route taxi - 10 rubles.

Airport to resort

At the airport you can take a taxi to any of the bus stations in Simferopol or directly to your destination, to the sea. Taxi prices in Simferopol are within 20 rubles / km. A taxi from Simferopol airport to Evpatoria will cost you about 1600 rubles, to Feodosia - 3200 rubles, to Yalta - 2600 rubles.

So, you are at the Simferopol airport. Where to go next?

Almost any resort town of Crimea can be left from the Kurortnaya bus station, located near the railway station. You can get there by the 98th and 115th bus routes. You can, without hesitation, go straight to it. From the Kurortnaya bus station you can go to the Eastern coast of Crimea (to Feodosia, Koktebel, Kerch, Ordzhonikidze), to the West coast (to Evpatoria, Chernomorskoe, Saki) and to the Southern coast (to Yalta, Alushta, Sudak, Simeiz, etc.) .) and, of course, to the hero city of Sevastopol.

Trolleybuses No. 51 (to Alushta) and No. 52 (to Yalta) also run regularly from this bus station. If you want to go by trolleybus, then you will have the opportunity to travel the longest intercity trolleybus route in the world (to Yalta it is 84 km.). In two hours' journey, you can safely admire the delightful landscapes of the Crimean mountains and picturesque valleys.

From the Central Bus Station of Simferopol, you can also go to most of the resort towns of Crimea, however, such flights are much less frequent here, since this bus station is intended, first of all, for the departure of long-distance buses - to mainland Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The Central Bus Station can be reached from the airport by routes 49 and 49A. And from the bus station "Vostochnaya" buses go exclusively to that part of the Crimea, where there are no resort areas.

How to buy cheap tickets to Crimea

The key to success in buying a cheap air ticket is knowing the best price., at which it can be purchased, so below I will tell you about the prices for air tickets to Crimea in 2018, which ticket is considered cheap, which is affordable, and which is expensive. An example will be given for one person back and forth:

  • The cheapest air ticket can be bought in advance and it will cost from 5,000 to 6,000 rubles
  • Affordable flights to Simferopol can be purchased at a price of 6,000 to 8,000 rubles
  • A one-way ticket can be purchased at a price of 3,000 to 5,500 rubles per one. The price of a one-way ticket is always more expensive, so it is usually better to take a round-trip ticket to save money.
  • Fortunately, it takes about two hours to fly from Moscow to Crimea., so the flight will in principle be direct. This cannot but rejoice, because usually flights to Asia, for example, take a long time, and there can still be several transfers.

How to find the cheapest air ticket to Crimea, how to recognize it and when to buy it?

Everyone knows that Crimea is a subsidized place and air tickets for citizens are no exception, so it is possible to find a round-trip ticket for the summer for 6,000 - 8,000 rubles. The main thing is to do this in advance now, starting from February it is necessary to purchase tickets for the spring and summer of 2018, because usually such cheap tickets are quickly sold out and the chance to find already at such a minimal cost in summer tends to zero. And why do you ask, because there is a plan for a year for a certain number of tickets, if they are sold out, usually new ones do not appear, as they say, whoever had time, he ate.

There is a possibility that someone's trip will be canceled and this ticket will be available for sale, but will you have time to intercept it? Not everyone can sit for days on end monitoring search engines with air tickets. Therefore, we conclude that while there are such tickets, they must be purchased far in advance, prepare your bike for summer, starting in winter, I will tell you about such tickets to Simferopol. However, Aviaseil has released a handy bot for instant messengers that will help you cope with the tasks of price monitoring:

You can also not bother yourself with a separate purchase of an air ticket, but purchase a full tour from a travel agency or tour operator. Sometimes it is more profitable to buy a full-fledged tour, where an air ticket, hotel accommodation (sometimes even with meals) will already be included in the price and even with a transfer to the hotel itself. The main thing is to buy a tour from a trusted tour operator and at competitive prices. I propose to consider options from one of the most famous online companies:

Search sites for cheap flights to Crimea

If you decide to buy a ticket on your own, then any site for searching for air tickets will help you here, for example, we usually use the search engine Skyscaner or Aviasales, the latter even more attracted by affordable prices and proven offers. Below is their handy search form for a ticket by month for the whole of 2018. This ticket search is convenient when you are not tied to specific departure dates, and you can find the best deal in any month of the year, see for yourself. In general, I recommend keeping this page so that you will always have a convenient calendar of prices for flights from Moscow to Simferopol:

Another search form will help you find the coveted cheap ticket to Crimea, the main thing to remember is that it is better to look through several offers not only for your specific date, but also a few days in advance or back in order to choose the most advantageous offer from everything presented.

Sometimes, even from travel agencies, a purchased tour will be more profitable than buying only one ticket, but the main thing is to know a few important points:

  • Purchase a tour voucher only from trusted travel agencies or tour operators
  • If the voucher is cheaper than one purchased ticket of the order of 1500-2000 rubles, you can also buy a tour without hesitation
  • Also, when buying a tour, it is better to be 99% sure that the trip will not be canceled for any personal reasons. After all, the agencies earn their main income on refuseniks from tours, simply without returning most of the cost of the tour.
  • Not everyone can afford to spend their precious vacation looking for accommodation and other independent actions, so buying a tour in travel agencies is suitable for especially busy people.

The prices indicated above for cheap tickets to Crimea are very good and it is better not to hesitate in purchasing them, because as I said, the limit of low prices for tickets to Crimea is limited and if everyone sells out, then there will be no great chance of buying a ticket for 4,000 - 6 000 rubles. Do not delay, plan your trip to Crimea in advance so that your vacation is not only memorable, but also not expensive.

Crimea has always been an attractive place for us, especially after the need to overcome customs has disappeared. We tried to "break through" to the Russian Crimea last year, but alas, the storm confused all the cards, in the end it turned out. "Psikhanuv" on Adler for a ruined vacation, I said: "My feet will not be on our Black Sea coast until the construction of the bridge to the Crimea!"
This summer, 2015, we were supposed to fly to Greece, or rather to Rhodes or Crete, and my whole vacation was tied to this. But, as they say, if you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.
The collapse of the ruble has confused all the cards. I had to "rush" across Russia. As a result, Crimea was chosen. And in the first half of June our trip took place.
Today I present to you the first article about a trip to Crimea, in which I will tell you:

  • about our flight to the sunny peninsula and back by two airlines - Aeroflot and Orenburg airlines,
  • about the Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow and the airport in Simferopol.

To Crimea by plane we flew for the first time. Before that, there were 5 trips. It turned out that the plane is not only fast, but also good.
So l personal experience of the June 2015 trip to Crimea with all the details.

Choosing a hotel, buying tickets

But it all began with the fact that I began to choose a hotel in which we would rest, and, like a finicky bride, put forward a number of requirements to him: 1) not far from the sea, 2) since the sea in Crimea is cold in early June, then a full-fledged pool is required, 3) only a strip of land from Sevastopol to Alushta suited, neither the Western nor Eastern Crimea was even considered, 4) reviews on Booking are not lower than 8.5, 5) for all this beauty, not more than 2,500 rubles per day. As a result, the hotel was found - "Villa Valentina" in Lazurny, that is, Alushta.

The next question is tickets. Since we were traveling together with Lyovka, there was only one way - to fly to Crimea by plane. I bought tickets in economy class at Aeroflot even before the discounts of 7,500 rubles. two ends per person. We did not get cheap tickets to Crimea, I overpaid 5,000 rubles. Do I regret it? No, firstly, I did not twitch, and secondly, I bought tickets for the dates and times that I wanted, and thirdly, the return flight was more comfortable, but more on that later. This is how everything seemed to be done, it only remained to wait for the hour of H.

The road to the Sheremetyevo airport

We flew out on Monday June 11th, and that was my first mistake. Why? It's just that if you don't live in Moscow, then you shouldn't choose Monday. it is on this day that either the laziest or the smartest citizens go to Moscow. We were saved by the fact that the plane took off at 7.20 and we managed to pass Moscow before traffic jams, but returning back, Vitek watched them, and judging by their length, there were a lot of "smart" ones.
I checked in online. Therefore, upon arrival, they simply dropped the luggage. There were about 40-45 minutes left before boarding, and I let my husband go home. My son and I sat quietly, then passed the control and went to the next waiting room.
That immediately I did not like about Sheremetyevo. There are no clear signs, as a result, we first "drove off" with our suitcases to the exit for the staff, but the friendly flight attendants explained where to go. Security measures at the airport are quite tough: at the entrance I was asked to drink from a bottle of water. Prices at the airport are appropriate, so it's easier to take water with you, and, if anything, just throw out the leftovers. Otherwise: clean, comfortable, civil.
Well, Lyovka and I found our flight on the board, saw a large queue of passengers, stood at its end. As a result, everyone was loaded onto the bus without any problems and taken to the plane. The plane is quite comfortable, the distance between the rows (and after my mother's story about the flight to Transbaikalia, that's what I was afraid of) is quite normal, even my son with his 179 centimeters sat down. We were sitting near the porthole, so we admired the takeoff picture completely.

Flight Moscow - Simferopol. Fly Aeroflot planes!

Now I can tell you my opinion about Aeroflot's service. Everything is on the level. Served by stewardesses in cute orange uniforms, everyone is extremely polite. In the pockets on the seats, besides the instructions, there were both paper bags and magazines, so I enjoyed reading on the way. The children were presented with small gifts, which I don't know about, but I met these backpacks on the children when I flew back. As they say, a trifle, but nice. We had tickets with breakfast, which consisted of a sandwich and drinks.
Well, now about the bad. Most likely due to dumping prices, the flight was full to capacity, there were a lot of passengers with children. Believe me, I love children, and they do me too, but when they start screaming, hammering on the seat, after a sleepless night it strains. Feeling like being on a crowded bus. But we flew without any problems. And, oddly enough, it was not scary, although I, a coward, was very afraid the day before.

Airport in Simferopol

Simferopol met with clouds. We landed, and there is a contrast with Sheremetyev. Firstly, all the paths somehow reminded me of my native Ryazan, a pit on a pit and a pit drives. No buses were brought to the gangway, just an aunt in a vest stood and waved her hand: they say, come on through.
We run into the hall, and there the uncle is shouting something, moreover, even without a speaker, nothing is heard. I see familiar faces, I get up near the tape. And my advice to you: do not be lazy, put a noticeable "identification" on the suitcase, I personally sheathed the handles with a satin ribbon. Why? Yes, just on this tape, many suitcases become "one person", and it is difficult to find your own.
But we fished out our luggage and went to look for our transfer. In fact, you can get there by public transport from the airport. If anyone is interested, see the article about the road to the southern coast of Crimea, everything is very clearly explained. But I didn't want to bother, so we ordered hotel transfer... We were met and taken without any problems. For an hour, and from cloudy Simferopol we got to sunny Alushta. very picturesque, but I was also nostalgic because we traveled on it more than once.

The way back. From Alushta to Simferopol by taxi

On the return flight, I ordered a taxi from Alushta to Simferopol, which cost a little less than a transfer. We left the sunny Alushta, but already in Perevalnoye we got into such a downpour and hail that I was afraid that we would be left without glass. We are approaching Simferopol, and the whole sky is covered with thunderclouds. Even the driver asked: do airplanes fly in this weather? I strongly doubted this too. The driver took us to the terminals.

Hello again! Simferopol airport

We flew out of Terminal C. We see A, we see B, but where is C? I go to B (it should be closer in alphabetical order), but it turns out that now C is A. These are the metamorphoses. There were enough of such "lost" ones without us. Anyway.
We are approaching the required terminal, which has not yet been fully reconstructed. We go inside. Here, the security measures are not as strict as in Sheremetyevo: they did not even pay attention to the water. If in Sheremetyevo there was just a division of racks for internal and external flights, then in Simferopol there were already numbers. I hold out a printout of the online booking, but we are re-registered for the same places. And unlike Moscow, they change a piece of paper for boarding passes.
There are few seats in the waiting room, there are clearly not enough of them, but my son and I find chairs and sit down. And then Simferopol begins. The fact is that even with tickets, boarding takes 40 minutes. I went to the scoreboard, and there was information that the registration of the previous flight was in progress, although it had already been announced that it was over. But, as they say, "the language will bring to Kiev." I find out that you can go through security and wait for boarding already in the departure hall.
We pass into the next hall. There are already enough places for everyone. We are watching how the crowded Aeroflot flight to Moscow is loaded. We sit down to wait. It seems to take off at 13.40, at half past one, but the landing is not announced. I notice that the woman from our flight (she checked in luggage with us) goes to the next hall. It turns out that our landing is from there. It seems that they should announce the boarding over the speakerphone, but nothing is heard in the next hall. It is not strange that some passengers are "lost".
We get to the plane on foot, sit down. And then the downpour begins. The crew commander explains: due to a thunderstorm, we will take off according to the weather. The rain is pouring, the lightning is flashing, so spin it in full.
They detained us for 40 minutes, but it's good that we took off at all. And the funny thing is that behind the mountains, on the southern coast of Crimea, the sun was shining ...

Flight Simferopol - Moscow. Orenburg airlines

Well, now my opinion about another airline - Orenburg Airlines. The fact is that it was a joint flight with Aeroflot, but apparently privileges do not apply to it, so we flew like leopards in a half-empty plane: there were two people in front, Lyovka and I were alone in the row, there was no one behind, so beauty ...
This time, in addition to the flight attendants, there were also men - stewards. And clearly not young. The service is friendly. But everything is somehow more modest: no gifts for children, no magazines, packages were given on demand. Although the return ticket was "with a snack", but in fact it is the same sandwich, only in a different form. The child swept him away so quickly that I gave him mine. But in general, due to the smaller number of people, the flight was more comfortable.
We flew over the Crimea, so I admired the South Coast, Kazantip, and Kerch. And then my son took up the book, and I "drove" him out of the window.
We flew well, got on the bus, and arrived without incident. Vitya met us.
And then my second mistake "surfaced". We returned on June 11, on the eve of a long weekend. It's just that Vitka had a birthday, and I wanted to somehow celebrate it. But in the end we coincided with the "crowd", and, having left the airport at 17-00, we arrived in Ryazan at 23-00. Therefore, my advice to you, if you are traveling by car, in any case do not return on the eve of the weekend, you will suffer.

Results. What kind of transport is better to travel?

Now I can say with a clear conscience: I traveled and traveled and flew. Why is the plane good? Of course, the speed of movement: at 3 am I was still in Ryazan, and already at 11 in the sunny Alushta. This is what it means - by plane to Crimea! Believe me, it's like waving a magic wand, once - and in place.
Minuses. Airports, as a rule, are located at a distance from the city, with all the ensuing consequences. You can only take 20 kilograms of luggage with you for Economy Class. You have to arrive at the airport in advance, so by the time of the flight, you can safely add the waiting time after checking in your baggage and, again, the time you receive it. If the flight is crowded, then the feeling is like on a bus, it's not your own car. Still, I liked the plane much more than the train.
Well, if we compare Simferopol with Moscow, then so far the airport in Crimea is not up to international, and not up to international ones, either. The same lane, waiting room, notification, delivery of passengers. I hope that this is only for now, and over time everything will change. In the meantime, well, you have to be patient.

Finally, I present a short video made "from under the floor" on the plane.
