Beaches and places for swimming in the Moscow region. Beaches near Moscow Where you can swim in

It is worth noting that there are many beautiful places around the city where you can swim, fish and relax near the water. This review is about where you can take a dip outside the city, but not too far away so that you can go by car, taxi, bike, bus or train.

1. Rainbow Waterfall on Nara

On the Kaluga highway, on the border with the Kaluga region, near the village of Papino, there is the largest waterfall in the Moscow region - Raduzhny. On a clear summer day, you can see how the sun plays in the jets and drops of sparkling icy water flowing from the steep banks into the Naru River. A lot of cold springs and springs formed a powerful stream here, falling from a height of five meters. Nara in these places makes a sharp bend, opening a stunning view of the waterfall itself and a whole cascade of springs located below.

The best place for swimming on Nara is 200-300 meters upstream from Raduzhny, right after the ford and a small dam. There are six more springs along the way. In summer, you can safely come here with a tent and an overnight stay. We recommend taking rubber boots and appropriate clothing: the banks of the Nara are steep and swampy due to the many springs.

How to get there:

At 45 kilometers from Moscow, along the Kaluga highway, you need to turn right in front of the village of Papino. Before reaching the village, in front of the bridge over Nara, turn right onto the paved road in front of the gas station. After 30 meters turn left onto a dirt road through the field. On the way, about a kilometer on foot or by car to a slope overlooking the river. Further down the waterfall can be found by the sound of falling water.

Under the old pines there are sheds with tables and chairs where you can have a picnic. Public grills nearby. The main drawback, according to vacationers: the popularity of the place. In the Polivanovo region, this cool river is blocked by a dam that forms three ponds. There are a couple of places where you can enter the water from the shore, but the bottom is muddy and not even. There is a sandy piece of the beach, but it is in a gated community. The central platform, from which young people dive into the water, is small, the place is covered with sand around - it was made by the owner of the store located across the road from the river. There are tables and benches around the shop.

From Podolsk you can take bus 71 to the Turgenevo stop. Further on foot.

10. Polenovo and Tarusa on the Oka

In addition to the beautiful places around Podolsk, thanks to the electric trains, you can go a little further - to the Oka. The railway station is also called just behind Serpukhov, having reached in an hour from Podolsk to which you will immediately find yourself on the sandy banks of this picturesque river. But you can drive four more stops and get off at the Tarusskaya station (Zaoksky village) to get to the legendary places sung by the artist Polenov. Here the forests of the Prioksko-Terrasny Reserve begin. This option is more suitable for a trip with tents for a couple of days, because in one day it is impossible to survey the legendary valleys beyond the Okka and enjoy the rest on the Oka river. Reservoirs of Moscow, waiting for bathers and bathers

In May, Rospotrebnadzor checked the water bodies of Moscow, examining the quality of the water in them. Divers studied the bottom of ponds and reservoirs, checking for waste and construction debris, experts took water samples. The results of the research showed what kind of reservoirs are suitable for safe "diving" and long bathing.

There are more natural reservoirs in Moscow suitable for sunbathing - 125 . But you can only swim in 9 of them.

The cleanest were rightfully recognized and. But, on the contrary, those affected by the fishermen, who often spend their winter leisure here, -, and. They have to be sorted out.

We remind you that the beaches of the capital are waiting for visitors daily from 9:00 to 22:00 from June 1 to September 1. But these are only formalities - officially they open when the water reaches 18 degrees.

So, the reservoirs of Moscow, where you can not only bask in the sun on the beach, but also swim:

By the way, this year the safety of vacationers will be provided by 23 search and rescue stations and a diving team.

And modern video surveillance systems will allow you to respond with lightning speed and come to the rescue.

You can't swim in the fountains of Moscow

The number of fountains in Moscow is growing faster than the number of water bodies where swimming is allowed. Therefore, in order not to travel far, people prefer to cool off right in the fountains.

In Spain and Italy, it has even become a tradition to climb into the fountain together after another hot football match.

Attention, Rospotrebnadzor prohibits swimming in the fountains of Moscow.

  • First of all, the water in them circulates in a vicious circle.
  • Secondly the water is not purified.

So, if a dog or a sick person swam there before you, all microbes will remain in this water.

According to the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, at present there are not enough bathing and recreation areas in Moscow - some areas are completely left without water and beach pleasures. On the eve of the season, he set a task for the relevant departments and district authorities to organize the beaches.

It is possible that already this summer we will be able to enjoy new improved reservoirs with clean water. For example, now the Angarsk and Ostankino ponds, as well as the pond in Kuskovo, are under reconstruction.

Year by year, our capital is “growing”, its possessions include impressive areas of the once green areas near Moscow - in the near future, places for recreation and swimming may be equipped there.

As you can see, in Moscow in the summer of 2018 you can find excellent beaches and clean waters where you can swim. So the hot season for those who, for one reason or another, remains in the capital, will be no less impressive. And there will still be travel, you just want to!

Warm weather usually comes along with the May holidays, and Muscovites are looking for places where they can have a good rest, fry a barbecue, sunbathe or even swim. The city authorities begin to prepare such zones as early as April, since in May the townspeople already put up barbecues, play ball and are located near water bodies.

There are two types of recreation areas in the capital: where you can sunbathe and where you can also swim. The belonging of a reservoir to one or another type depends on the safety of the lake, pond or section of the river. It is determined by the microbiological indicators of water, the absence of dangerous objects at the bottom and the entire territory of the beach.

Meshchersky pond in Solntsevo
Meshchersky Pond is an artificial reservoir, which was built in the eighteenth century from dams on the Nevershka River. Once on its banks was the village of Vatulino. Later it was named Meshchersky in honor of the prince with that surname, who owned this territory. Currently, this land is part of Moscow. To support the reservoir, a 3 m high dam is used, which forms Meshchersky Prospekt.

This area is characterized by low-rise buildings. There are no tall buildings, so it is quite quiet on weekdays. On holidays and weekends, many residents of the western and southern districts of the capital gather here. There is little sand around the reservoir, but there are many places where you can comfortably sit on the grass. In 2015, the adjacent pond was reconstructed. The plans of the authorities are to clean and deepen the reservoir, put the surrounding area in order and carry out work to strengthen the dam. All this will be done by the fall of 2016, and in the summer of 2017 it will be possible to swim and relax here with all amenities.

Beach "Levoberezhny"
This beach has been known since the 1950s. Located on the left bank of the Moskva River, it appeared thanks to enthusiasts who decided to clean it up and improve it. Near the beach "Levoberezhny" there is a large multi-storey building, known among locals as the "Chinese Wall". Its residents have an excellent opportunity to relax by the water without leaving anywhere.

The only negative of this beach is an electrical substation with high-voltage pylons. We recommend everyone who wants to stay healthy to stay at a distance of 100 m from her - then the electromagnetic background will not pose a danger.

Troparevsky Pond in Teply Stan
Troparevsky Pond is located on the Ochakovka River, on the territory of the Tyoply Stan reserve. This park was founded in 1961 in honor of the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The architect planned to create 15 squares here, each of which is dedicated to one of the republics, in the center - a large area with an amphitheater and a fountain.

According to his plan, the riverbed was to become a cascade of ponds connected by bridges. Numerous alleys and a botanical garden could appear on the territory of the park. However, most of these intentions were not realized - until 2006, the territory made a depressing impression and required restoration - both the territory of the park and the reservoir.

Like many other places of recreation in the capital, the Troparevsky pond was landscaped in 2007. The territory was cleared, an equipped beach appeared, a summer amphitheater, as well as playgrounds for sports and children's games.

It is believed that it is here that the banks of the Moscow River are the cleanest.

Big City Pond
In the central part of Zelenograd there is the Big City Pond, the coastal part of which is the capital's beach. He owes his appearance to the construction of a dam on a river called Skhodnya. During the years of the USSR, Zelenograd was closed from prying eyes; there were no large industrial enterprises here. Due to this, the territory of the region, including water bodies, is characterized by a minimum degree of pollution. The large pond is located in the Victory Park, near the city administration. Most of the festive events and festivities are held here.

Moscow, administrative district Zelenograd, st. Lake alley, 2

black lake
This modest reservoir is located in the wooded area of Moscow - in the 6th microdistrict. Black Lake was formed in a natural way and for quite a long time was fed with crystal clear water from springs. Unfortunately, over time, its reserves were depleted, which led to a decrease in the already small reservoir by four times. In those areas where there used to be water, by now only a swamp overgrown with reeds has remained.
Citizens from neighboring areas still go to the lake to swim in the water, which remains icy even in July and August.

Moscow region, microdistrict Kosino

school lake
It was created in the same way as the Big City Pond, on the Skhodnya River. In the 19th century, as a result of the construction of a dam, a small river became a large body of water. Once, water was drawn from it for steam locomotives that ran between Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Video "Where to swim in Moscow"

The area of Moscow's water bodies is more than 3 thousand hectares, more than 140 rivers and streams flow through the capital's territory, more than 400 lakes and ponds of natural and artificial origin can be counted on the city map.

The main river arteries of Moscow are the rivers Moscow, Setun, Yauza, Skhodnya, Gorodnya. 33 large tributaries depart from the Moscow River with a length of more than 25 km. These are the small rivers Yauza, Setun and Skhodnya, starting in the Moscow region.

Over the past 20 years, the quality of water in Moscow's water bodies has been gradually deteriorating. This is due to the development of protected areas and the deterioration of the general environmental situation in the city. Another important reason is that the ratio of sewage and natural water bodies in Moscow is 1:2, which means that city rivers consist more of wastewater. And even cleaning them does not help them to be environmentally friendly. The water quality of the Moskva River leaves much to be desired, since the content of zinc and heavy metals in its water exceeds the permissible limits.

Swimming in the Moscow River is not recommended. Despite this, the rivers, streams, ponds and lakes of Moscow remain very picturesque, they are navigable: tourist boats, boats, boats and river trams run along the rivers and reservoirs. Motor ships start their journey from the Novospassky bridge and sail to the Kiev railway station.

Fans of sunbathing and swimming should remember that most of the rivers, lakes, ponds and reservoirs within Moscow are used only for recreation on the shore. The number of city places where swimming is officially allowed varies between 8-10 recreation areas. The situation with lakes in the Moscow region is much better, a much larger number of them are included in the list suitable for swimming.
