For those who want to organize a trip to the cities of the United States, I can give some practical advice.

· Begin visa application preferably no later than 2.5-3 months before the intended date of travel. We got a visa for 3 years, it cost then about 5,000 rubles.
· First, fill out the application form on the embassy website, choose the date of the interview, prepare the necessary documents (those that confirm that you have no migration intentions, for example, a certificate of employment, a bank card statement, a certificate of ownership, etc.), on day X you go to the embassy with all these documents. Tips from Vinsky's forum they helped us a lot in obtaining a visa (http://awd.ru/kak-poluchit-vizu-usa/).
Whole route it is advisable to think it over in advance so that you don’t get distracted by this while traveling, but just enjoy it. We booked all hotels, domestic flights, bus tickets in advance online.
Travel to the US without plastic bank card- useless. Without it, you won’t even be able to check into the hotel (before checking in, they spend it in case you break something or smoke in the room). And it’s even better to take two cards, otherwise your bank will suddenly block one of them (this also happens).
We booked hotels on booking.com.
The average cost of 1 night in a more or less decent hotel is about $100-150. Need to book hotels with a rating of at least 7.
· There are very expensive hotels in New York.
We barely found an acceptable option for us. Is this a hotel Sleep Inn in Queens. About $120 per night, near a subway station (about 15 minutes to Manhattan). There is also a laundry nearby and a seemingly inconspicuous but very tasty Chinese takeaway shop.
We also spent 1 night at a hotel in Brooklyn but would not recommend. The area is restless, although the hotels are cheaper.
· Excursion to Niagara Falls we booked on http://www.taketours.com. It turned out about 6,000 rubles for two.
The trip is two days, with an overnight stay at the hotel. All food, tickets to enter museums, to the observation deck, to the boat, etc. are at your expense (so you will have to pay extra anyway).
Surprisingly, they brought us to some kind of glass museum, and then to a store so that we could buy something there (so this practice is developed not only in Turkey and Egypt).
Tickets New York- Los Angeles-New York we booked on http://www.onetwotrip.com/ . For two there and back it turned out about 20,000 rubles.
· If you're going to Los Angeles, don't forget to bring a hoodie and good sunscreen. It is unlikely that you will be able to swim in the Pacific Ocean, because. the water in it is icy (but the Atlantic is very warm).
Los Angeles bus ticket Las Vegas-We booked Los Angeles at http://us.megabus.com. Drive 5 hours.
For two there and back it turned out about 1600 rubles.
· After paying online for hotels, tickets and excursions, your e-mail will be sent confirmation. Be sure to print them out and take them with you.
in Las Vegas very inexpensive but luxurious hotels.
Do not get carried away playing slot machines there, because. tightens and money quietly fly away. In general, slot games are absolutely meaningless and illogical.
・Don't go to Grand Canyon to the famous observation deck with a transparent floor. First, it is very expensive. Secondly, she is small. Thirdly, you can not take pictures! It's better to just find a place with an amazing view. Although the view is beautiful from everywhere!
· Cars we rented on the site http://www.dollar.com.
If you are under the age of 24 (i.e. "young driver"), then the rent will be more expensive for you.
You can take a car in one place and return it in another city (you can specify all the details in advance on the website).
It is not necessary to issue international rights. Our Russian rights are valid for them (the main thing is that your name and surname should be written in Latin letters there).
Be careful with parking lots (carefully read all the signs). Fines for parking in the wrong place are high. In general, they have very high fines, so traffic rules and speed limits must also be observed!
In summer in all establishments (cafes, shops, airports, buses, etc.) air conditioners are running at full capacity. Keep this in mind. It's very easy to catch a cold there.
· Tap water you can drink in the USA. There are no problems with drinking water at all - almost everywhere there are “fountain sinks” like in films. In almost any restaurant, they bring a jug of water for free as soon as you sit down at the table (also from the tap, by the way).
・If you may need medicines when traveling, take them with you. Because in the US, everything is prescription (except for ibuprofen, cough syrup, diarrhea and allergy pills). And be sure to arrange medical insurance, because medicine is outrageously expensive. Insurance can be issued online at www.cherehapa.ru (and do not forget to print it out).
· And of course, don't forget to take a good mood with you! Enjoy your new discoveries!

Traveling America

Back in the middle of last summer, we (me and my friend Ivan) came up with an idea…. And why not see America .... And really, why not take a look. Preparations began in September last year. We bought air tickets, got international driving license (although I used to travel everywhere with Russian ones). But anyway, just in case...
Further work on the route, the study of local laws and customs ... And I, as a person “to put it mildly” passionate about fishing, clearly understood what I should definitely catch. And in many places...
The plan was this. We fly to New York and spend 3 days there. We move to Washington by bus, and we have 2 days to Washington. Next flight to New Orleans, rent a car…. And with all sorts of “deviations” from the route, after about 6.5 thousand km (via San Francisco), we arrive in Los Angeles. We have 12 days for the automotive part. This is about 500-600 km every day ...)

And I clearly understood that I would not have a single full fishing day. Most likely, I will be able to fish only early in the morning, and only from the shore. For example, from dawn until about 9-9-30, while my friend will sleep in a hotel.
Looking ahead a little, I will say that this is exactly what happened. For me it was a real marathon. Very often, 4-5 hours were left for sleep ... From such a rest, upon returning, you will need to rest separately)

Now I offer a small photo report from this trip.

I started to make my first attempts to fish in the state of Texas (we stopped in the city of Odessa)). But, since there are only oil rigs around here, and most of the land is privately owned, which is fenced. Tried to drive up to three reservoirs, all in vain.

And of course, what is a trip without visiting the Grand Canyon. This spectacle is mesmerizing. The maximum depth reaches a mark of 1800 m. The width is up to 25 km ... Such beauty and scope can be admired for a very, very long time.

Local squirrels are fearless squirrels. People are very loved, apparently, because many feed them. It seems that this wild animal can even be stroked.

From here the Grand Canyon originates - below me is the Colorado River.

A little upstream, near the town of Page, there is a huge reservoir. This is where I first tried to catch bass. I fished among the piers, then moved to stone spits, strongly protruding into the reservoir. The places are cool, and all my sports practice says that these are the most interesting points, but without bites ... By the way, I mainly looked for places on a satellite map. So very convenient. We always practice this at the World Bass Championships. Here I decided to use this proven scheme.

Another iconic place is Monument Valley…

And one of the most famous attractions is Antelope Canyon. Located at a decent distance from the roads. Therefore, they moved through the desert on a specific transport.

And, finally, I managed to catch a bass) It happened on the Mead reservoir, near Las Vegas. And I will remember these four hours of fishing for the rest of my life. During this short time, I managed to understand that there is bass, but it is very passive. I went out for light Texas and even wacky with a load, but did not take it. And everything changed as soon as I switched to unloaded tires. She often helps us out in sports, she helped us here too. Bass began to attack her, and attack boldly enough. The largest, about 1.3 kg, I literally dragged from a mountain gorge with sheer cliffs. Fluor 7 libres, stick up to 7 g. (Graphite leader Vigore Compato) and a cliff of about 10 m. I had to lift it with a spinning rod. Everything survived, but I will never forget this either.

The hottest place on the planet is Death Valley. If I remember exactly, the air temperature here was +58 degrees. There are practically no cars

The next time I was able to fish was near the small town of Bishop. A picturesque small river flows here. As best he could, he tried to talk to a local fisherman - he found out that trout is mainly caught. But in a quiet place I managed to catch a small bass. And, of course, the most memorable sight is the bite of "salmon". There is simply no other way to call this trout. She definitely had at least 2 kg, but after a 2-minute fight, she came down. You can see a very small hook on the turntable. Not the kind of fish I expected. And the bite happened right under the piles of the bridge. Interestingly, I was able to successfully catch trout only in the most difficult places: before a rift, strictly under overhanging bushes ... Where it was easy to approach the water, where it was trampled ... there were no bites. The classic scheme - the higher the pressure, the more difficult the catch should be chosen.

I met one of the sunrises on the pier in San Francisco. The rising sun, joggers, cyclists, the gradually emerging Golden Gate Bridge… So serene and quiet. 6 a.m. The first and only bite occurred around 8 am. As friends on social networks suggested to me, it turns out to be some kind of blue greenling. I tried different baits, but the bite occurred as soon as I started to touch the bottom from time to time ...) it really reminded me of catching rolls. Information boards are everywhere.

In the afternoon we rode bikes around San Francisco.

And on the way to Los Angeles, right at sunset, we witnessed such an unforgettable sight. These are clouds over the Pacific Ocean. We stood for 20 minutes, admired.

A few more photos with beautiful nature.

And, of course, Hollywood and Los Angeles ... Where without him)

I didn’t intend to go to America at all, but somehow one friend who hadn’t been abroad more than once didn’t tell me that you weren’t going to the USA, I thought and decided yes! A real traveler must visit all continents. I read a huge number of reviews and then I already understood that the United States would not fall into my top list of the best countries. I'm not a millionaire, so I had to travel on a budget. My plan was this - New York - Las Vegas - Los Angeles - Washington and New York. But all knowledgeable independent travelers will understand me, my plan for studying America began to increase - and I added Hawaii and Miami, although I also wanted San Francisco and Chicago. But I'm not a millionaire. It should be said that I understood that America is not a country where tourists return after visiting it, but still the task was to see and at least slightly understand this world. And the United States was not surprised by anything, not only ours, but also Europeans write about it. Conclusions 1) I did not feel that this is the richest country, our Moscow is certainly superior to New York 2) sights of world importance are almost zero, it should be said that without imperial palaces they make rooms in museums! Haha!

Now what do you like about the USA?

1) THE AVAILABILITY OF TOILETS - those who have traveled around Russia will understand me. As one German said, I saw a lot of beauties of Russia, but I will never forget a wooden winter toilet with sulks! So the Americans are great (otherwise they will consider me a hater of America). even on the beach where there are only three or four people there will be a locker room and a toilet, and not simple, but for wheelchair users

2) Americans - they know how to promote their country - I've always wondered how they show our cities in Hollywood - such a shit - but theirs are just lovely But in fact, the opposite is true. In Europe, in the same ordinary Prague, you go and photograph everything - such a photographed city, And in Los Angeles there are no normal photos! Except the beaches.

3) The presence of free museums - and really chic_ that the Metropolitan in New York, that the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

But still in America you need to visit and compare!

I flew to America from Moscow on the Delta for 26 thousand rubles, I bought tickets in February after I received a visa to the USA in Yekaterinburg (that's also amazing, is it really impossible to make fingerprints at the entrance, like in Cambodia -) and I booked hotels for 10 months

Everything I planned came true - my advice is definitely Hawaii and Miami. Without them, my tour would be a complete disappointment and book 11 months in advance, if they don’t give you a visa - cancel your hotel reservations without additional costs - the cheapest were in Las Vegas, and the most expensive are New York, Washington and Honolulu.
