How to get from Adler to Krasnaya Polyana - instructions for moving to Sochi. Bus Krasnaya Polyana and Rosa Khutor

The popular ski resort Krasnaya Polyana is located in the Adler region, 42 kilometers from the coastal part of the city, at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level, surrounded by mountains on the southern slope of the Caucasus Range.

Winters here are long, snowy and wet due to the combination of mountain and sea climate. The mountains of Krasnaya Polyana attract skiers and snowboarders with their light and soft snow. There are more and more people wishing to ride on the ski slopes of Krasnaya Polyana every year.

So, we will clearly and briefly consider all the ways you can get to Krasnaya Polyana.

By train to Krasnaya Polyana

Comfortable Lastochka trains run from Sochi railway station to Krasnaya Polyana. There are 2 stations in the Krasnaya Polyana area - Esto-Sadok and Rosa Khutor. How do you know which station to get off at?

If you need to get to the Rosa Khutor, Alpika-Service or Gazprom ski resorts, then get off at Rosa Khutor. If you want to get to Gornaya Karusel or Gorki Gorod, then you need a station Esto-Sadok.

Travel time from Sochi to Rosa Khutor station will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. There will be several stops along the way - Matsesta, Khosta, Adler railway station, Esto-Sadok.

The ticket price is not small - from Sochi to Krasnaya Polyana one way you will have to pay about 340 rubles for one ticket.

You can see the train schedule from Sochi to Krasnaya Polyana at the link, from Adler to Krasnaya Polyana -.

There are also direct trains from Imeretinsky Kurort (Olympic Park) station to Rosa Khutor. Travel time 45 minutes. And with a transfer through Adler - about an hour and a half. In winter, as well as during various competitions, the number of running trains on this route is increased. See the schedule of such trains.

The advantage of the train is that you can carry your ski or snowboard equipment without any problems. However, the frequency of trains in winter and autumn is very low, so the proposed 4-6 trains per day with a high degree of probability may not suit you.

By train Lastochka from Sochi airport

We should also mention this option to get to Krasnaya Polyana.

In winter, there are trains in the schedule that run from the airport to Rosa Khutor and vice versa. Travel time is one hour. The fact is that there is no direct route from the airport to the mountains: the train follows one station to Adler, and then continues its journey not in the direction it followed from the airport, but in the opposite direction, bypassing the turn to the airport, leaving for the mountains. There are one or two such trains a day. If your arrival time coincides with the departure time of such a train, then use it. Otherwise, you will have to get off the train in Adler and wait for another train bound for Krasnaya Polyana. In this case, it is better to take a bus from the airport or from the Adler railway station.

Pay attention to the note in the schedule that the flight is without a transfer, the travel time for such a flight is about one hour. See the link for the schedule.

How to get to Krasnaya Polyana from Adler

Adler is considered the country's southernmost resort, the younger brother of Sochi and a good neighbor of Krasnaya Polyana. From a technical point of view, Adler (like the entire area) is part of the resort city of Sochi, but in this article I will consider them as two self-sufficient objects on the map, especially since this city has something to do and where to relax.

In Adler, you can look at the Black Sea, which stretches for 17 km along the two banks of the violent mountain river Mzymta.

If you live in the capital, you first need to get to Adler or Sochi. There are many options, but the fastest way is by plane. Sochi International Airport is ready to accept direct or charter flights from different cities of Russia, as well as from countries of near and far abroad. The price of a direct flight from the capital, even in the peak season, can be purchased for a maximum of three and a half thousand rubles, the flight will take about three hours. The price is for February 2017.

You can get from Adler Airport to Krasnaya Polyana by:

  • bus,
  • train, shuttle,
  • Taxi,
  • private or rented car

By bus

You can get to Rosa Khutor from Adler by bus.

Travel by municipal bus No. 105 and 135 costs about one hundred and seventy rubles. Buses run every 60 minutes from 6 am to 7 pm. To ride on a Skybus bus, you will have to pay more than four hundred rubles, but there are flights at ten and twelve in the evening and even at half past three at night.

On the Swallow on your own

Since the autumn of 2013, the Lastochka has been running on the route every day: a high-speed electric train, which also takes you to the Olympic Park and the airport.

The train makes 6 stops along the way. The branded "Lastochka" runs from Sochi and Adler more than five times a day, the price of a full ticket from the airport to the place of arrival is indicated above. You get to Rosa Khutor, and from there you get on foot or order a taxi to Krasnaya Polyana. A taxi will cost you half a thousand rubles.

You can also take a taxi to your destination from the airport. It is better to order a car in the peak season ahead of time through the network dispatch service, the road will cost a maximum of two thousand rubles.

Private entrepreneurs during the winter months and off-hours often ask for several thousand more. But in the summer, when the influx of tourists who want to go to the KP and Esto-Sadok decreases, you can bargain for a price of up to five hundred rubles.

By train

In the direction of Krasnaya Polyana, up to eight pairs of electric trains travel every day. The schedule from the period of the Olympics has become much better - flights have been added at late hours, now you can look at Polyana in the evening from a walk around Adler. You can even go to the city for lunch after skiing, spend a few hours by the sea, and then go back to the hotel for dinner the same day.

By car

Getting to Krasnaya Polyana, you can choose two roads: "old" and "new". Not everyone chooses the old one, it is very winding and it is difficult to overtake there, so it is better to choose a new one, it was built for the Olympics. The journey takes up to an hour, there are usually no traffic jams and there are very few cars, except for weekends and national holidays.

Several times during the winter months, the roads can be covered with snow, so traffic is more often difficult due to bad weather or local motorists who choose exclusively summer tires.

The road, as a rule, is quickly cleared, but the traffic cops constantly check the cars for the presence of “change shoes”. Because of this, traffic jams often form, all cars have to be checked.

If you have already reached Adler, then the A148 highway will take you to Krasnaya Polyana. On the road you will spend no longer than forty minutes.

If you decide to take a brave step and set off from the capital to Krasnaya Polyana, be prepared to drive in the region of two thousand kilometers.

The journey takes one and a half days. Almost the entire journey along the federal highway M4 will be calm, but closer to the south of the country something is being repaired daily and you can stand in a traffic jam for several hours.

At the border of the Rostov Region and the Krasnodar Territory, you will most likely be stopped, especially if you are not wearing your seat belt. In the evening, be extremely careful in this area. The road is not as easy as it might seem at first glance.

If you are driving

In bad weather, be prepared for snow-covered serpentines that are found on the Dzhubga-Sochi pass immediately after the Krasnodar Territory. Unaccustomed to the driver and passengers, it can become scary, almost everyone gets swayed. And if snow falls, the likelihood of a traffic jam increases by 80 percent.

Be also extremely careful on the serpentine.

Don't leave your car anywhere! It is better to take a paid car park. If you are “dragged away” by a tow truck, it will cost you about 6000-7000 rubles (

Traffic cops often eat in a stream with a registrar in order to fix a continuous crossing. Then the flashing lights turn on, and a traffic jam that is familiar to everyone is formed. Have you ever been in a similar situation? Share in the comments.

If you want to go by car, I recommend getting yourself a transponder (T-pass) in advance - a device to pass through the checkpoint of toll roads, money will be automatically withdrawn from your account. So you save a lot of time on payments and queues.

To go by private transport to Krasnaya Polyana or not?

I think that you need to go, but at the same time follow a few rules. During the trip, you should strictly follow the traffic rules, do not exceed the speed limit, otherwise you can pay large fines, you may be deprived of your rights. I don't think it's worth it. Also, you should spend at least 8-10 days on the road, since constantly sitting in your car will not bring you buzz either from the road or from the trip itself.

I also want to add on my own behalf that it is better to go to the CP at any time, except for holidays. Here a lot of people celebrate the New Year, February 23, March 8. Both the rulers and government officials of Russia come to the New Year. Therefore, if you just want to be alone and enjoy nature, choose ordinary weekdays or weekends.

What to see in Krasnaya Polyana

This is a very bright place where you should definitely visit at least once in your life.

This resort town began to flourish very quickly and in just a few years it became the most respectable ski cluster in our country. Have you vacationed there? If yes, please share in the comments.

Of course, the 2014 Olympics in Sochi brought success and popularity to this place. At the preparatory stage for this important event, the town was improved and changed, all thanks to the new infrastructure: you can get from the airport along a wide convenient road, there are new tracks for skiers and snowboarders equipped with modern lifts.

Winter lovers can also relax in the luge center, extreme park, several high-class tourist complexes, excellent hotels and restaurants.

After the Olympic Games, the resort continued to develop, construction continues even today, new roads stretch into the mountains, cafes and various entertainment centers are being improved, but all repair work is carried out very carefully, without disturbing tourists. There is, which attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world.

Glade is famous not only for winter entertainment

Hospitable Russians live in this town, they cook the most delicious Caucasian honey. In summer, people come here to breathe fresh air and admire the beautiful horizons, go on mountain hikes, go to the sea and take a walk in the chestnut forest.

This place has been a kind of brand for several years, and it combines several tourism centers at once.

But in fact, this is a small village that is located along the Mzymta River and acts as a kind of gateway to the resort area. In the village you will not find large sports facilities, but here you can find a budget hostel or guest house, have a delicious meal in one of the many cafes and restaurants, and buy all sorts of little things in shops.

Despite the fact that this is a village, here you will find a post office, a hospital, a clinic, a branch of several large banks and even museums.

Almost immediately outside the town, the village of Esto-Sadok will begin, in this village the Lastochka train, which I wrote about earlier, makes its first stop. It is in Esto-Sadok that you will find numerous Olympic facilities that have become the economic backbone of the city.

No need to go skiing in the Alps or in. In our country you will find many really worthy places that will definitely not leave you indifferent. Just buy a ticket and go on an adventure. If you liked this article, do not forget to share it with your friends on the social network and be sure to subscribe to the adventure project "On the Edge" so as not to miss anything. Bye Bye!
