We knew that we would have to take a shuttle 1.5 km to the beach, but in our hearts we hoped that this distance could be covered on foot, if desired, so as not to depend on transport. As it turned out upon arrival, the last bus from the beach leaves at 18.15 (!), And the road is a winding track and is not intended for pedestrians. At the same time, the swimming pool at the hotel is open until 19.00, when cleaning begins, so any swimming ends at this time. In the morning you cannot swim in the pool before 9.00. In my opinion, the water park at the hotel also closes at 19.00 (admission, by the way, is 5 euros per day or cheaper if you buy a ticket for a week right away). There are scheduled paid buses to Cefalu, a small ancient picturesque town (5-10 minutes drive). Once a day there is a bus to Palermo, but it goes back in 3 hours - there is very little time to see the city. You need to take a taxi, which will not be cheap. The breakfasts left a lot to be desired, as did the shower, plumbing and towels in the room. Animation is only in Italian and French - elderly Italian and French guests, who make up the bulk of tourists, are, of course, happy! No Internet. Small area of \u200b\u200bthe hotel, nowhere to walk. Advantages of the hotel: beautiful view from the window, not hot (although the air conditioner works on schedule), good beach, few Russians. Despite the shortcomings of the hotel, the rest was wonderful. Every day we either went on excursions organized by "Natali-Tours", or on our own by bus / taxi to Cefalu, where they walked and swam. I especially liked it on the active volcano Etna and in the fashionable resort town of Taormina. Sicily is rich in monuments of history and architecture, sea, nature, wine and food. A great place to travel, just be careful when choosing a place and hotel!

We rested for 2 weeks in June-July 2019. Check-in at 14 o'clock, check-out at 10 o'clock. If you arrive before 14 o'clock, the room will be given when ready (each room is assigned to the guests in advance). We took a room with a sea view (the view is great). The mountain view rooms were stuffy (no air circulation between the hotel and the mountain). Soundproofing in the rooms is good (exceptions - the bathroom, where neighbors were heard very well. The cleaning service is lame, but they were cleaned daily. There is no Russian-speaking staff, but if you know English, communication is not a problem. The beach is clean - sand, the sea is also very clean and comfortable for bathing even for children. Every 15 minutes there is a bus to the beach (break from 12.30 to 14.30). Very convenient. Drive 5 minutes. Walking distance to the beach is not possible, very far. The animation in the hotel is strong, as for adults and children all day long both on the beach and by the pool. Mini-disco evenings and shows. Animation in Italian and French. But even without their knowledge, everything is intuitively clear. Meals: the breakfasts are monotonous, but everything is satisfying and tasty. Delicious tea and coffee. Meals we took "All inclusive", tk. there are no cafes or shops within walking distance. Lunches and dinners are varied. Always prepare two kinds of pasta. Meat, fish, seafood - everything is present. On the table for lunch and dinner there is a bottle of water and a bottle of wine. The table is assigned to the number for the entire stay, which is very convenient. They baked pizza every day for dinner, focaccia for lunch. It's hard to stay hungry here. If you host Norma Vacanze (the Italian partner of AnexTour and several of our tour operators) and you want to go on excursions centrally, be prepared that you may not get on these excursions (they may be canceled a day before the appointed date), due to the fact that the group is not recruited. The minimum number must be 15 people. We never got to Etna, because they have excursions there only 1 day a week and in two weeks the group did not get enough (which is strange, since there were those who wanted to talk to the vacationers). We went on an excursion "Unexplored Sicily", which, according to the guide Elena, all the tourists praise very much, but there is nothing interesting there. They will be brought to the same shop with sausages, in one with olive oils and in a bread shop, where prices are not cheap. On the way, they will show you one cathedral, then they will lead you through the local market and leave on the square, giving you free time, which you have nowhere to spend, because nothing in Castelbono, except for the shops where the guide has his own from the sellers for bringing tourists there, there is nothing. If you want to buy olives, oil, wine, sun-dried tomatoes, it is easier and cheaper to go to Cefalu yourself (a double-decker bus runs from the hotel and back several times a day). Travel time is no more than 15 minutes. And look at the beautiful Italian city (much more interesting than the same Castalbono), and buy what you need even cheaper. During the return transfer, the guide does not accompany you, which the same Elena did not say, as it turned out to any of the vacationers, in any hotel. And if the driver came to our reception and once said “Palermo” so quietly and timidly, then in one of the hotels he simply stopped at the gate and waited there. And the tourists were told that they would be picked up at the reception. As a result, they stood for 30 minutes just like that. At the meeting at the airport there was also an incident. We waited for almost an hour for the passenger who was on the bus, and the guide let her through. In general, we were not lucky with the guide. Absent-minded and not attentive. This, of course, did not spoil the rest at all (except that the canceled trip to Etna was a little upsetting), we are experienced travelers, but for some, such a discretion on the part of the guide can be unpleasant surprises, especially when it comes to transfers. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and sociable. The audience at the hotel is either families with children or retirees. Everything is quiet and calm. There are not many Russian families in the hotel, which is a significant plus for us personally.…
