Tours to Madonna di Campiglio. Working hours on holidays

The most famous and fashionable resort in the province of Trentino, Madonna di Campiglio is part of the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello-Brenta pool, united by a shared ski pass that gives access to 340 km of pistes in eight ski areas. Glory to the Madonna came at the end of the 19th century, when representatives of the European aristocracy frequented here; The Austrian emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Sissi have repeatedly been guests of the resort. Madonna is still a stylish and secular place, preserving its own unique atmosphere.

Slopes and lifts

Madonna di Campiglio is spread out on a spacious sunny meadow, at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level, at the foot of the mountain group Dolomiti di Brenta (3175). A common system of cable cars and trails connects Madonna with the resorts of Folgarida (1350) and Marilleva (1400) located in the neighboring Val di Sole valley; You can move between them without removing your skis. The total length of tracks in the region is 120 km. A total of 45 cable cars operate on the slopes.

Ski slopes surround Madonna from three sides - from each of them you can ski down almost to the center of the resort. A new 8-seater gondola lift delivers to the Cinque Laghi sector (2064). From the mark of 2160 m, a good, medium-difficulty FIS 3Tre track starts with several high-speed sections in the upper part. On the lower section of the slope is the famous Canalone Miramonti (700 m), the venue for the annual stages of the Alpine Ski World Cup.

The Pradalago area (2100) from Madonna can be reached by a 12-seat gondola cable car. Upstairs there is an easy learning area with a handy 4 chair lift. Along the long, four-kilometer "blue" track, beginners will descend without any problems to the Campo Carlo Magno area, to the 6-seater gondolas, stretching to the opposite slope of Groste (2500). More experienced skiers with Pradalago go on long ski trips to Val di Sole, to the slopes of Marilleva and Folgarida, where skiing is quite interesting. In the direction of the Madonna itself, the winding forest descent Amazzónia leads, unfortunately, it is always quite crowded: be careful not to cut off those coming from above.

The western-facing upper slopes of Groste are open, wide and very gentle; the lower sections are a little more difficult. The steeper slopes from the neighboring Spinale (2100), but they are more “red” than “black”, are quite suitable for skiers with an average level of training. The exception is the lowest hilly section of the Direttissima route (No. 25).

The resort of Pinzolo (800) located in the Rendena Valley, half an hour from Madonna di Campiglio, has its own small (about 30 km of slopes) ski area. From below, a 6-seater gondola lift delivers to the ski area on Doss de Sabion (2100); at the top there are several nice "red" runs, which are served by four chairs. We advise advanced skiers to pay attention to the professional sports downhill Competition.

Snowboard. Snowpark Ursus on Groste (halfpipe, jumps, boardercross). Snowpark over Marilleva-1400.

Sports opportunities in the region

In the very center of Madonna there is a huge natural skating rink - the decoration of the city. Snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice climbing, telemark, paragliding; 21 km of cross-country ski trails, including the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. Bureau of Alpine Guides and Mountaineering School. There are indoor tennis courts and squash courts.

Apres-Ski and evening life

Refined, but at the same time calm atmosphere: many restaurants - from simple pizzerias to gastronomic delights, cafes, bars, shops, boutiques and galleries, 2 night disco clubs. It will be interesting for both young people and older people. Holidays at the resort are thought out to the smallest detail!

In the town of Caderzone there is a large thermal complex "Terme Rendena - Fonte San Antonio" (www.fontevalrendena.it). Madonna is located 40 minutes from Trento - one of the oldest cities in Italy, the capital of the province of Trentino. Walks along the ancient streets of this city are included in the "mandatory program" of recreation. In February, Madonna di Campiglio hosts the famous Habsburg Carnival, recreating the atmosphere of the 19th century: costumes from the Austro-Hungarian era, music and torchlight processions...

pros

Excellent trails for beginner skiers. Possibility of ski safari in Val di Sole, on the slopes of Folgarida and Marilleva. Quality hotels.

Minuses

Trails are overrated. Little interesting for experts. During the season prices "bite".

And did you know that...

On the territory of Italy there are two independent enclave states: the Republic of San Marino (61 square kilometers) and the city-state of the Vatican (44 hectares in total). The Vatican is the only state in the world that locks its gates at night.

Ekaterina, good afternoon! Thank you, I had a great trip, the room was just what I wanted (with a view of the park and a bathroom). I was very satisfied. Thank you.

The only thing is that the transfer besides me met more women who were brought to Karlovy Vary and I had to travel instead of 2 hours from Prague to Marianske Lazne for 3 hours. It certainly was not convenient, I was brought in the evening. Of course, it would be more convenient to fly to Karlovy Vary.

Hello Ekaterina. Our trip was a success.

The hotel is good. Repair, furniture, plumbing, bed linen - in excellent condition, no comments. Very clean and comfortable.

Breakfasts were the same every day, but with a good assortment - so you could diversify your menu simply by choosing different dishes.

There is a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, cream in the room. We enjoyed. Tea was added daily. Linen and towels were changed twice a week.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, there is no noisy crowd. There are several direct tram routes to the center (both to the railway station, and to shopping centers, and to the main attractions).

Drive less than half an hour. 2 stops near the hotel: one directly under the windows, the other in 5 minutes walking distance.

Ekaterina, hello! I apologize that I didn’t drop a couple of lines for you earlier: I was raking things, sorting out my suitcase - or vice versa.

We really liked the rest in Armenia, organized with your help, everything went smoothly, without a single overlay. Thank you very much for organizing the tour!

Special thanks and deep bow to the host country - "Armenia Travel". The drivers are beyond praise, the guide Liya Bakhshinyan is a real professional and a very sincere, sincere person. In a week of close communication, they became almost family.

Luxurious hotels, state-of-the-art ski slopes, excellent Italian cuisine, plenty of nightlife, the highest level of service, the Habsburg Carnival… Madonna di Campiglio offers the highest level of relaxation in the Dolomites and collects the most enthusiastic reviews from satisfied vacationers.
