I usually don't write reviews, but here I just can't keep silent.
We chose this hotel based on its rating on top hotels as well. Why is the hotel so rated? It remained a mystery to me.
We rested from October 15-28 with a two-year-old child and an elderly mother. To say that the bad attitude towards Russians is to say nothing. Perhaps this is the first vacation that I wanted to finish earlier and not come to this hotel again. Not a single day did we feel like welcome guests.

RECEPTION AND ACCOMMODATION. We arrived early in the morning at the hotel. After a sleepless night with the child, I wanted to rest a little. Check-in at the hotel from 14.00. There were free rooms and at the reception we were offered to settle in earlier for $ 20. We had to do it for the sake of the child. We took two numbers - for me and the child and for my mother. The rooms were terrible. Russians are usually accommodated in one building with windows opening onto the highway. I must say that these are very noisy rooms, and it is impossible to sleep with the windows open. We were doubly unlucky. Our windows also overlooked mini zoos - chickens, geese, goats and a rooster, which did not stop since 2.30 in the morning. It could be heard even with the windows closed. Mom had a strong smell of bleach in her room, and the street smelled of goats. For an allergic person, this is unacceptable. But the numbers were not changed, referring to the fact that there were no vacant ones. They offered to come up with this question tomorrow. After a sleepless night, we did just that. Instead of two rooms, we found one - in the same wing, but not with access to the road. The room smelled strongly of sewage and was very humid. After another sleepless night, we moved with the child back to the room with a rooster and a road, and my mother was moved into this damp room. I just didn't want to move anywhere anymore - I wanted a little peace.
At the reception, we were also not treated as nicely as we used to. They did not want to talk, but with gestures they sent them to the Russian-speaking Yulia, the woman who was covered by them, who tried to solve our problems. They also did not hesitate to discuss us in their own language and made fun of my mother. The young man at the reception did not hesitate to twist my mother (who is his second older) at the temple when we took the cards to the water park. I was just naughty. That is, respect for elders is not established there either, as well as simple decency and education. In general, quiet life the rooms were not. One day, something was being repaired in the courtyard under our windows, on the other, cockroaches were stabbed in our wing - we could not enter the room until late at night, and the smell from the sewer was still three days after that. Another morning the hotel drain burst. The stench was impossible until lunchtime and we could not breathe calmly even at sea. Apparently all the impurities were poured there.

LOCATION. The hotel is located far from the city center, where, in fact, there is also nothing to do. There are only a few small shops and a pharmacy in the area. There is nowhere to leave the hotel. Tour operators offer guided tours. Groups are not recruited in autumn. But I was lucky - I went to El Jem. The program includes the Colosseum and the Mosaic Museum. Nice excursion. Recommend.

A RESTAURANT. We liked the food at the hotel. Thanks to the chefs. The table is varied and delicious. There are fish, a lot of vegetables. There is always beef and pork. Also local food and sweets. No decent cereal for breakfast, tasteless milk. For the rest, it seemed to us that everything was fine. But we were faced with the fact that there is nowhere to sit in the restaurant when the hotel is very busy. There are free tables, but they are served for someone else. There is no official table reservation, but they are not allowed to enter these tables, they are waiting for someone, but not us. There was a group of 5 people and it was impossible to find a place for us. We had to divide by 3 and 2. At first, the waiters even drove us off the tables, not at all embarrassed that we were with a small child. Only after a week of staying at this hotel they began to recognize us and in the end they even invited us to tables. The waiters are trying, but they pay more attention to the Germans and Arabs, of course.

BEACH. The beach is good, the sand is wonderful. But! The first time they came to the beach, they took towels and asked for mattresses. To which my mother was mimicked and pointed to a stack of mattresses. There was even no question of a proposal to convey them. They didn't even help her take them off. None of the four men sitting there even stood up while watching the woman with sore legs drag these mattresses. I was shocked by this attitude. The first time I come across this. The next day I went there with my child, and history repeated itself, only I heard a discussion from the beach workers that they were Russians and they didn’t need help. This is such nationalism! I was told that perhaps they wanted a tip. I'd love to give them to them if these people would just kick their asses up and do their job. After that, the desire to communicate and tip is completely discouraged. In 14 days I was only asked to bring mattresses once.

ANIMATION. The hotel has animation. Everything happens on schedule. Warm-up, aqua aerobics, dancing, games. The animation is unobtrusive. So much so that they never approached us. They probably didn't know what language to speak to us. Although we understand English and can explain ourselves. It's the same with children's animation. We went to the mini disco in the evening. The child liked it. There was a good children's animator, but she did not invite Russian-speaking children. At the end of our vacation, a Russian-speaking animator appeared. Perhaps the situation has changed.

CLEANING ROOMS. Rooms are cleaned every day. During the daytime from 12 to 15 in the rooms there was not a single towel to dry. They change them in all rooms. Our room was cleaned by a lovely girl who did not speak English and Russian, so they explained by signs. When I tipped, she brought rugs to the room. I always cleaned at the time when my child was sleeping. The sign didn't help. One day I went to bed with the baby and put on earplugs. I woke up from the fact that someone was pulling me on the shoulder. I, not understanding anything, tore my eyes. She showed me that I need to pull the earplugs out of my ears and asked loudly if I need to get out?))) Well, what can I say? But she's not angry with her. They simply did not explain to her that it was impossible.

SERVICE IN THE ROOMS.
This concerns troubleshooting. They come, but sometimes the repair is delayed for several days. For three days my friends' phone did not work. We left two applications. They did not dock with the master in any way. When another friend of ours asked when to wait for the master to adjust the antenna, it was said - sit in the room and wait. It took 2 hours, but no one came. They called and had a fight - they immediately came and adjusted everything.

TOTAL. The hotel is German-oriented. Many German elderly couples. Russians are treated with arrogance and contempt.
Not all, of course, but there is such a tendency. It's not clear, really, why? Personally, we are not sex tourists, we don't smoke, we don't drink, we are not self-centered. But they don't want to receive us well. Personally, we will not go there anymore and will not recommend it to people. If you still want to go there, then my advice is to take men. In their presence, the Arabs of this hotel behave more restrained.

Rest in September with 2 children (2 and 5).
We drove from the airport for about 2 hours, in a downpour, at night, it was not very pleasant, the buses were apparently old, the windows were leaking. We settled in quickly, late dinner was edible, but no more. The room (main building) was clean, spacious, with a view of the zoo: the children are happy, but the smell interfered if they were calm, but you can survive. The dryer on the balcony is nothing - it would be necessary to come up with something with this hotel and the furniture on the balcony has clearly seen a lot) Bed linen and towels are white, no complaints. Blankets are not the first freshness, but the weather made it possible to do without them. Bath and toilet are clean but! in my idea of \u200b\u200b\\ u200b \\ u200b4 * in the trash bin in the bathroom, you need a bag, once again I was reluctant to throw garbage into it, they got along with the one in the room. About cleaning and tips: the result did not always depend on them, but rather on who cleaned. Towels were given with a supply (the young man was very attentive to requests for their quantity), gel / shampoo / soap is always in abundance, but I prefer my own products. The fridge worked fine, and the condo and tv did too. wi fi also caught well in the room, by the pool, too, ok, and in the restaurant only closer to the entrance. Julia (she saw her books for free)) liked the guide, and solved all requests and questions immediately whenever possible. The reception staff is very nice, they seem to even speak Russian, but I'm not sure if they talked in fr. and eng. languages. They will give a card for towels and go to the aqua park right away, no problem: we went there a couple of times, not bad, there are no crowds of people. Only here is the payment for drinks with a bracelet, which is issued for a deposit at the main entrance. Replenish it immediately and pay, otherwise there is no way. They could not return the bracelet immediately, but only the next day, there was some kind of failure. I'm not sure if the staff in the aqua park speaks good Russian, haven't heard. Restaurant: solid 5+ for a 4 * hotel, a lot of vegetables, once a week there was spinach for a side dish (divine!) Meat, poultry, fish, seafood: children have something to feed, there are only 2 types of soups, but very tasty. One BUT!: I liked cheese only once, it makes sense to take it with you and store it in the refrigerator. Sausages are also nothing special, salty in my opinion. But this is not only in this hotel, but in general in Tunisia it comes across so much. There are few spices, practically none. Spicy dishes are marked, but there are not so many of them. The fries are delicious. Bulgur \\ cous-cous \\ fries \\ stewed vegetables, gorgeous desserts (especially donuts for breakfast and they are by the pool and cheesecakes in the afternoon!) Ice cream is so-so, the fruits were only a couple of times peaches were so-so, not critical, maybe there is always a choice of fruits ... They took fruit for children and donuts with them, no problem, but in a package, they will give a plate only on my word of honor) I didn't like any coffee, juice, like everywhere else, it's not ok for me, but the family drank. A lot of water is always available with or without gas. Sometimes they make super tea! it's just fire) Wine: very good white, different red (50 to 50), the rose was not impressed. I drank cocktails a couple of times, they do not regret alcohol. The beer is not bad, like a lager. The bottle was taken at the bar for a fee. Bananas have never been caught in the restaurant, but you can buy on the beach, but the price tag is hellish, and the children ask. Now about the waiters: the attitude is wonderful, the children are entertained with jokes) Most often they got to the table with the waiter Tumi, very kind. Very fast service, help to find a table. If you leave a tip, the service will be simply chic. But I must say that with such an attitude I want to encourage them: the wine is poured, you can immediately ask to leave the bottle - no problem, but as one employee told me: the problem of knowing the language prevents me from communicating normally with those who are not good at English and French. Animation: my children were happy, the girls are very kind and one young man always fiddles with them with children, adult animation with humor, nothing more. I liked the mini-disco very much, then we did not stay, so I cannot appreciate the program for adults. There are billiards. Pools for children very much, I did not see garbage, the water is pleasant. Pool waiters are attentive, lifeguards are always on site. BEACH: there are more disadvantages here, but this is not the hotel's fault. OH narrow! highly. there are not enough places, ideally to occupy at 6 am, BUT !! lifeguards, it seemed to me, book seats precisely for tips to tourists and there are not very many chances to take a sunbed under an umbrella, so either immediately give tea and ask for a reservation, or at 6.00 you are already running for a sunbed. Personally, this is not a very story for me. IMHO. The sand is gorgeous, they clean well, but still there are a lot of shells and you can cut your legs, but we were lucky. There were no jellyfish, there were fish) The sea is shallow, ideal for children, the water temperature is just super, like a bath, but !!! we were unlucky 12 days out of 14 there were waves and the children were afraid to go into the water themselves, the wind was strong, the panamas were tore off, caps with an elastic band)) The water was dirty for 3 days, maybe 4 (the garbage nailed and increased), it rained a couple of times, more often in the evening or at night, once it drizzled 30 minutes during the day. SECURITY on the beach - 5 points, help to control all purchases, maybe the merchants get it out and stick around. There is a volleyball court, but for me it's better to add sun loungers instead. There is no shower on the beach, you need to go to the pool. Towels are tired, but quite soft)) they are updated, but obviously in parts: once it was with a hole, small, but still. The toilet at the restaurant is the closest, it seemed to me, but there is a lot of water on the floor (But clean, no complaints. They smoke in the lobby, I was not critical, and the family grumbled. There is not always cash at the reception desk and it can be a problem to change money. The hotel is nice, but in the calm, mosquitoes torment in the evening, take some cream and so on. The store in the hotel is so-so, it’s better across the road. IMHO. We saw lizards a couple of times, there are not many cats, they don’t get it) Opposite (to the left of the hotel, across the street) there are a couple of shops with souvenirs, the choice was so-so (end of the season ??) very nice (prices are quite adequate if you pay in cash, there is already some commission by card), but you can walk to the right to more shops and cafes. The pharmacy is by taxi, so I took the maximum supplies. A super market shop is also a taxi, we did not go. If an excellent cafe, delicious tea (the children liked the serving, they ran there with pleasure), a chic hookah for ridiculous prices (in the price tag you need to correctly subtract zeros from 6 dinars), the payment was only cash, the cafe is not very English, but they do everything , to understand you) Bottom line: I recommend the hotel as a 4 *, no illusions, the sea is super, if there are no waves (the main thing is shallow), shell beach, sand. Tipping will make you the best guest, when the staff found out that we were leaving, they brought us a snack for the children and 3 bottles of water, they said that they would not pick up at the airport, and it was, they were allowed to bring them with the children. The flight was delayed by 2 hours, they gave us juice and coffee, we had a snack, so we didn't suffer.
