check-in

Check-in is carried out in the standard way at the counter, there is check-in for your flight via the Internet, using a mobile device and, in Turkey, at self-service kiosks.

You can choose several registration methods: the most common is check-in at your airline counter. Second option - use the self-service counter at the airport.

For convenience, use online registration. Many airlines have this service, for example, Rossiya, UTair, Wizz Air and Turkish airlines. Information about the procedure and the application form can be found on the company’s official website or via the links below.

Important! The administration of Vnukovo Airport recommends checking in online, if possible. This will save time and reduce the likelihood of being late.

Online scoreboard

Online registration

Go to your airline's website, find your ticket, and print it out. If you do not have a printer, Vnukovo staff will print your ticket at the check-in counter.

Remember! Online check-in frees you from standing in lines, but it does not guarantee that you will quickly go through all the steps necessary for boarding. You should still arrive early.

You must check in your luggage in any case.

Online registration has a number of advantages: you can complete it at home, at work, on public transport - as long as you have a device with the Internet. You can choose your seat on the plane yourself. You print out the ticket yourself; you don’t have to do it at the airport.

Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends 45 minutes.

Please note that in some cases you will not be able to register online:

  • if accompanying children is required;
  • if you carry luggage in the passenger seat or pets;
  • as well as in the case of transportation of weapons.

Below you will find information about company counter numbers, if they are recorded, and links to websites for online registration.

What to do: from check-in to departure

  1. Registration.

During inspections, the security service checks passengers for dangerous things: explosives, knives, and so on.

  1. Passport control.

It takes a lot of time. The boarding pass and the authenticity of the documents are checked.

Find your boarding gate location in advance. Its number is indicated on your ticket. This way you will avoid being late for your plane.

Passenger check-in begins 2 hours before flight departure. In Vnukovo it takes place in the main terminal of the airport - Terminal A, on the 2nd floor. Check-in automatically ends 40 minutes before departure. In the case of Turkish airlines - in 45 minutes.

Remember! For flights of Rossiya, Sky Express, and UTair companies, check-in is available 12 hours before departure.

Get to the airport early! Take into account the time it will take for inspection at the entrance to the terminal, registration and passport control. Airport staff will not be able to extend check-in for latecomers.

Checking in for a Turkish Airlines flight

The airline keeps up with the times and offers passengers online registration for the flight. This can be done on the airline’s website from a computer, tablet or smartphone, as well as using a mobile application. After completing the procedure on the website, you can send your boarding pass to your phone or print it yourself. Online check-in saves time by allowing you to arrive at the airport later and avoid queuing at the check-in counter. If you check-in online, you must arrive at the airport at least 1 hour before departure (for domestic flights) and at least 2 hours before departure (for international flights).

Online check-in begins 24 hours and ends 90 minutes before departure.

You can check in as usual at the airport. In this case, you should arrive early and remember that check-in at the airport ends 45 minutes before departure (for domestic flights) and 60 minutes (for international flights).

Some airports have self-service kiosks, with which you can register yourself and avoid queues at the counters. Passengers with electronic tickets can use the kiosks. To do this, you must do one of the following:

  • insert your Miles&Smiles member card or bank card into the reader;
  • enter the electronic ticket number;
  • Dial the reservation code (PNR).

Self-check-in begins 12 hours before flight departure and ends 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes before departure for international flights. The self-service kiosks allow up to 8 people to register simultaneously with the same reservation code (PNR).

After printing their boarding pass at the self-service kiosk, passengers without luggage can proceed directly to the boarding gate. If you have luggage, you should check it in at the check-in counter and then proceed to boarding.

Always time it right - after checking in at the counter or self-service kiosk, you must be at the gate at least 20 minutes before any flight departs! At some airports, it may take some time to get to the gate. Late passengers will not be allowed to board the flight.

Turkish Airlines website

Turkish Airlines has a convenient and very informative official website; most of the information is translated into Russian, but there are also sections available only in English.

The site allows you to view routes (it is possible to filter destinations by topic of interest), book and purchase tickets online, choose a seat, order services on board (special meals, accompanying minor children, transportation of animals, etc.). Using the company's website, passengers can use bonus program points, book hotels and rent a car.

Turkish Airlines tickets can be purchased at the ticket office, but there is a much more pleasant option - book them online. This can be done on the website of the airline itself or using the services of an agency; the procedure will be equally fast. You don’t need to travel anywhere or stand in line – you just need to indicate the desired dates, number of passengers and departure/arrival points in the search form.

Booking

To book your favorite flight, you must carefully follow all instructions, and a booking confirmation will be sent to you by email. Afterwards, all you have to do is print it out and present it at the airport – and there’s no paperwork involved.
Of course, in certain cases you cannot do without additional documents: for example, if a visa is required to enter the country. But booking via the Internet is in any case much more convenient and is becoming popular with an increasing number of passengers.

You can only book a ticket online using a bank card, so it is recommended to check in advance whether your card is suitable for online transactions and whether there are enough funds on it. Thus, Turkish Airlines accepts only Visa and Master Card for payment, and owners of German bank accounts have the additional opportunity to pay using EDD.

Registration

Check-in for a flight is possible both online and directly at the airport. Of course, online check-in is more convenient, as it opens in advance and saves you from standing in queues, but it is not available to all categories of passengers. For example, those who carry checked luggage or those traveling with children under two years old cannot use this feature.

It is better to arrive at the airport in advance to check-in, especially if you have to check in luggage, so as not to rush and get everything done on time. Typically, check-in at the airport begins two hours before the plane departs, and closes 30 minutes on domestic flights and 45 minutes on external flights.
