What to do in Singapore 2 days. Singapore tours

© depositphotos.com

Lion City, Asian New York, Europe at the equator - this amazing city-state is not called as soon as it is called. Fingers of two hands are not enough to list all the attractions of Singapore, and two days are hardly enough for even a nodding acquaintance. However, we will still try to draw up an ideal route for 48 hours.

Singapore landmarks - day one

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 9:00 - 10:00 - tuning in to the correct perception of the city in the botanical garden

Singapore Botanic Gardens © depositphotos.com
We put a visit to Singapore Botanic Gardens at the very beginning of the route for one simple reason: to tune the traveler in the right way. If you find yourself immediately in the business center, it may seem that Singapore is a stone forest: skyscrapers-skyscrapers-skyscrapers. In fact, this is not at all the case, the city has a very lively soul. Therefore, in the morning we go to the botanical garden to listen to birdsong, enjoy the amazing orchid park (more than 60,000 species of individuals) or wander into the Ginger garden. There are still few people at this time.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 10: 00-11: 00 - making a wish at the fountain of wealth

After the botanical garden in the right mood, you can go to the center of Singapore. We take the Botanic Gardens Station metro and go to Promenade station (also a yellow line, so there is no need to change trains). The business complex Suntec City, consisting of five towers, is a stone's throw away. From a distance they resemble fingers, in the center of the "palm" there is the world's largest fountain - the Fountain of Wealth. It is believed that if you go around the fountain three times, while touching the water with your hand, you will be accompanied by happiness, luck and wealth. Walk around the fountain clockwise. In the evening, laser shows are held here.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 11: 00-12: 00 amphibious bus cruise

Amphibious Bus Cruise © depositphotos.com
Do not leave Suntec City anywhere - this is where the unusual excursion starts. Imagine: you are driving around Singapore on a tourist bus, enjoying the beauty of the city ... And then the bus suddenly enters the water and ... floats down the river. The amphibious bus tours are operated by Ducktours. They depart every half hour from Suntec City. The duration of the tour is 60 minutes.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 12: 00-13: 00 - walk along the Marina Bay promenade

Marina Bay © depositphotos.com
After getting a quick glimpse of Singapore from the window of the amphibious bus, you need to consolidate the impression with a leisurely stroll along the beautiful Marina Bay. This place can be called the heart of Singapore. On the way, take a photo of the unusual building of the Esplanade theater, which looks like an exotic durian fruit. See the famous Marina Bay Sands Hotel with a huge ship on the roof by daylight, and appreciate the scale of the Singapore Flyer - 165 meters in diameter Ferris wheels. However, we will return here in the evening and the picture will be much more interesting. Therefore, we go further - the zoo is waiting for us.

 • Landmarks of Singapore.13:00 - 18:00 - we go to one of the best zoos in the world

One of the best zoos in the world © depositphotos.com
There are no cages or fences here. 3.5 thousand animals, birds and reptiles, among which, by the way, are very rare and endangered species. So that the animals do not get bored and do not lose the feeling of life in wildlife, every three months they change their "interior". In one of the corners of the zoo, called the Fragile Forest, which recreates the jungle ecosystem, various species of exotic forest inhabitants live freely - mouse deer, Madagascar and tree kangaroos, strange birds and saucer-sized butterflies. Therefore, even if you came to Singapore without children, you should definitely visit here. According to the most optimistic forecasts, the tour will take 4 hours. And this is provided that you will move around on a special tram or on an electric scooter (you can rent it on the spot).

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 18:00 - 20:00 - dinner on the royal ship

Dinner on the royal ship © depositphotos.com
After a busy day, it's time to refuel and relax a bit. Head to Marina South Pier for authentic Chinese boats. They say it is an exact copy of the royal one. Dinner at one of them will be a great experience. The duration of the cruise is 2 hours 15 minutes.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 20:00 - 20:30 - watch the fountain show on the Marina Bay embankment

Immediately after returning from the cruise on the royal ship, go to the Marina Sand Sky Park hotel (a couple of tens of meters) to watch an amazing show, a mix of lasers, fountains and music. The duration is only 13-15 minutes, so try not to miss it. On Fridays and Saturdays, the show is held three times per evening: at 20:00, 21:30 and 23:00. On other days, only twice - at 20:00 and at 21:30. It's free.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 20: 30-21: 00 - enjoy the panorama of Singapore on the observation deck of Marina Sand Sky Park

Panorama of Singapore © depositphotos.com
It's time to look at Singapore not only from the water, but also from above. One of the best places from where a stunning panorama opens is the observation deck of the Marina Sand Hotel, symbolically called Sky Park. On the roof, in addition to the observation deck, there is a bar and a huge swimming pool. Still would
we advise you to ride the Singapore Flyer, the most popular attraction in Singapore.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 22: 00-00: 00 - Clark Quay Bar Tour

Clark Quay © depositphotos.com
One of the epicenters of Singapore's nightlife is Clark Quay. It is here that a lot of bars, restaurants and nightclubs are concentrated. Many are sitting right on the embankment, drinking, chatting. The atmosphere is very pleasant and conducive to new acquaintances. On one of the days of the week, a lady's night is arranged, then all the girls are poured for free. We advise you to visit the Pump Room - the audience is adult, draft beer and delicious, Live Band plays with soul, you can dance and drink. Until 21:00 the institution works like a restaurant A place called the Forbidden city is also not bad. Keep in mind that the prices for drinks in any establishment in Singapore are not low. However, Clark Quay is wonderful precisely because here you can slowly go around all the bars in a night, meet a lot of interesting characters. and go together to meet the sunrise at Marina bay.

Singapore Attractions - Day Two

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 9:00 -11: 00 - we go to the bird park

Bird Park © depositphotos.com
We begin the second day with a trip to one of the most favorite places of the Singaporeans themselves - the bird park. The main idea implemented in the design of the park is the same as in the zoo - it is to create conditions for birds as close as possible to natural ones. The park was created in such a way that the birds live in freedom, sometimes flying directly over the heads of visitors. Each pavilion of the park exactly recreates one of the natural zones in which one or another species of birds lives in wildlife.
There is a pavilion with nocturnal birds. A special system changes night and day in the pavilion. When it's daytime, it's night in the pavilion, and tourists can admire the inhabitants of the night. The artificial waterfall gathered around one and a half thousand birds from South America, Africa and Asia and more than 10 thousand exotic plants. Flamingos are especially impressive. In the native tropical jungle live sharp-tailed green pigeons, Bengal Rollers and many other "local" exotic birds.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 11: 00-13: 00 - walk and do shopping on Orchard Road

Orchard Road © depositphotos.com
This central street in Singapore is a shopping paradise and entertainment hub for local youth (along with Clarke Quay). All famous world fashion houses are represented here, such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, DKNY, Kenzo, D&G. Along with them, there is a lot of inexpensive mass market.
On both sides of Orchard Road, huge shopping malls stretch, smoothly flowing into one another. Most tourists recommend Takashimaya Shopping Center for shopping. At the same time, you need to understand that prices in Singapore for clothes and shoes cannot be called low, so you should not expect to completely renew your wardrobe here. However, there are often sales.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 13: 00-14: 00 - walk to Chinatown

Walking in Chinatown © depositphotos.com
So that you do not get the impression that Singapore is only skyscrapers and shops, we are going to get acquainted with two unique districts of the city: Chinese and Indian. Let's start with Chinatown. From Orchard Road you can walk (15 minutes) or take the subway to Chinatown station. Bounded along the perimeter of Upper Pickering Street, Cantonment Road, New Bridge Road and South Bridge Road, this area is crossed up and down by many crowded and colorful streets and alleys. The main attraction of Chinatown is, surprisingly, the oldest Indian temple in Singapore, Sri Mariamman Temple, 244, South Bridge Road. A must to visit. Also worth seeing is the Jamae Chulia Mosque (218, South Bridge Road). We also recommend having lunch in Chinatown. At the exit from the metro and on the way to the temple, there is a whole street of restaurants. The food is tasty and cheap.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 14: 00-15: 00 - walk in Little India

Walking Tour of Little India © depositphotos.com
10 minutes walk from Chinatown - and you find yourself as if in another country - welcome to Little India (there is a metro station with the same name). This dingy quarter against the background of the rest of Singapore amazes with an abundance of colors, sounds and aromas. There are many shops with traditional handicrafts: copper utensils, fabrics, jewelry, sweets. In Little India, you can just stroll along the central street of Serangoon Road, looking at the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple and Abdul Gaffoor Mosque along the way. If you need to buy cheap souvenirs, you can do it at the Mustaffa Center. This is a huge four-story supermarket, where they sell everything: both fake Louis Vuitton bags and fridge magnets.

 • Landmarks of Singapore. 16:00 - 22:00 - relaxing on Sentosa island

Relaxing on Sentosa Island © depositphotos.com
The name of the island means "The island of peace and quiet". The paradox is that this is the most popular entertainment island in Singapore: the center of beautiful beaches, themed attractions, all kinds of parks and gardens. Some of the most popular attractions on Sentosa include the Oceanarium, Dolphin Lagoon, SkyTower Revolving Deck, Insect Museum, Orchid Garden, Butterfly Park, Cinemania Interactive Simulation Cinema, Mesozoic Rainforest, Wax Museum, and the 38-meter Marlion - half lion - half fish - the symbol of Singapore. There are two observation platforms - one in the mouth, the second - directly at the top of the head, from which a beautiful view of the city opens.

What to see in Singapore in 2 days on your own? This question is relevant for many Russian tourists. Let us remind you that if you are traveling through Singapore in transit to a third country, you can stay there without a visa for 96 hours. That is, four days. The first day is for arrival and check-in, the last is for departure, so two days remains to explore the city. We have put together an excellent itinerary for you that will allow you to see the main attractions of Singapore in two days.

What to see in Singapore in 2 days: article content

Additional Information:

Day 1: hello Marina!

Everyone knows that Marina Bay Sands is the most beautiful hotel in Singapore. But not everyone knows that Marina Bay is a picturesque bay, on the banks of which there is not only the famous hotel, but also many other attractions. Therefore, you and I have no choice: in the morning of our first full day in Singapore, you must definitely go here. Moreover, there are so many interesting things on the shores of Marina Bay that you can safely spend the whole day here. To get to Marina Bay, you must take the Raffles Place, Esplanade, Promenade or Bayfront MRT stations.

Here is a map of Singapore's attractions located in Marina Bay that you can leisurely walk around in a day:

The map shows not only Russian, but also English-language names of Singapore's attractions. This is to make it easier for you to ask for directions from passers-by - almost all Singaporeans are fluent in English. And Russians, to put it mildly, not all))

Now let's take a closer look at the sights indicated on this map.

Statue of Merlion. The symbol of Singapore, a mythical animal with a fish body and a lion's head.

Esplanade Theater. The country's main theater is also a very beautiful building. Popularly called “Durian”, as the shape of the building resembles this fragrant tropical fruit.

What to do and what to see in Singapore in 2 days on your own? One of the days you should definitely spend on sightseeing in the heart of the city - Marina Bay. Here is the famous statue of Merlion, Marina Bay Sands Hotel and many other interesting places.

Gardens by the Bay. A great place to spend a few hours and dine there. It is a large and very beautiful complex of gardens, divided into thematic zones (Chinese garden, Indian garden, palm world, etc.). Underneath two huge domes are two tropical paradises - Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, the world's largest greenhouse. But unlike the rest of the Gardens by the Bay, entrance is paid. The ticket price for both greenhouses for foreigners is S $ 28 (adult) and S $ 15 (child).

Another hallmark of the Gardens by the Bay are huge futuristic flowers that glow beautifully in the evenings.

Singapore Flyer. The second tallest Ferris wheel in the world (165 meters), offering stunning views of the city. The ticket price is 33 Singupar dollars (adult) and 24 Singadollars (child).

What to see in Singapore in two days? First of all - Singapore itself from a bird's eye view! To do this, climb to the observation deck at Marina Bay Sands or ride the Singapore Flyer. And you can combine one and the other. By the way, the two round pieces at the bottom are the two halves of Durian, that is, the Esplanade theater.

Clarke Quay. It is not located exactly in Marina Bay, but a few hundred meters away on the banks of the Singapore River. In the evenings, Clarke Quay turns into a lively street with lights, where tourists from all over the world gather. This is the most hangout place in Singapore with many bars and nightclubs. You can also just walk here, buy souvenirs and dine in one of dozens of restaurants. You can also take a boat cruise, tickets are sold at the local piers.

Day 2: birds, animals and national flavor

Where to go and what to see in Singapore in 2 days, when you've already seen the main architectural sights? Apart from architectural wonders, Singapore is known for its national districts. The most striking of them is Chinatown. Singapore is also famous for its zoos. Therefore, we will spend the second day exploring these places.

Map of Singapore attractions that you can visit in 2 days of your trip to this city:

Singapore Zoo. It is considered one of the largest and most interesting in the world: in it you can meet more than 2.5 thousand animals of 315 different species! Therefore, it is worth planning at least three to four hours to visit it.

How to get to the Singapore Zoo? There are no metro stations within walking distance of it, so the easiest way is to take a taxi from your hotel. You can also get there by public transport. To do this, you can drive to:

 • choa Chu Kang metro station, then take bus # 927 to the zoo;
 • metro station Ang Mo Kio, then take bus # 138 to the zoo.

Singapore Zoo ticket prices are $ 33 (adult) and $ 22 (child under 12).

Singapore bird park (Jurong Bird Park). One of the largest such parks on the planet - 5 thousand birds of 380 species live here, from parrots and birds of paradise to penguins, predators and night hunters.
To get to the Singapore Bird Park, take the Boon Lay metro station and take bus # 194. Singapore Bird Park ticket costs $ 29 for adults and $ 19 for children.

Chinatown. A very picturesque area, a must-see for all tourists. Singapore's Chinatown offers cheap souvenirs, beautiful streets lined with Buddhist and Hindu temples, and a real paradise for lovers of inexpensive (by Singaporean standards) street Chinese food. Located at Chinatown MRT Station.

Singapore's Chinatown is not just a corner of old China in an ultra-modern metropolis. It is also a place where you can have an inexpensive and delicious snack.

What to see in Singapore in 3 days: Sentosa Island

From where in the article "What to see in Singapore in 2 days?" took another day, you ask? As we already wrote, during a transit trip, Russians can stay in Singapore for up to 96 hours, that is, 4 days. This is the day of arrival, two full days and the day of departure. But if on the fourth day you fly not in the morning, but in the late afternoon, then you can spend another half day or more in Singapore. We recommend spending them on Sentosa Island.

Sentosa Island - a favorite vacation spot for Singaporeans themselves. But there is one problem: there is no metro station on Sentosa. How to get to Sentosa Island from Singapore? It's very simple: you need to get to Harbor Front station, from where you can get to Sentosa on foot (free), by monorail ($ 4) or by cable car ($ 26). The entrance to Sentosa is paid - $ 1.

There are a lot of interesting places on Sentosa. But we don't have much time. Therefore, we present a list of 5 main attractions of Sentosa Island, from which you need to choose the most interesting for yourself:

 • beaches Sentosa Islands (Tanjong Beach, Palawan Beach and Siloso Beach),
 • huge amusement park Universal Studios (adult - $ 74, child - $ 56),
 • oceanarium S.E.A. Aquarium (adult - $ 34, child - $ 24).
 • aquapark Adventure Cove Waterpark (Adult - $ 36, Child - $ 28)
 • merlion Plaza with a giant statue of Merlion, which has two viewing platforms (in the mouth and on the head of a lion).

Here are all these attractions of Sentosa Island on the map:

Where to stay in Singapore for 2-3 nights

There are many hotels in Singapore where you can stay during your "transit" visit. On Booking.com, they are even divided by area:

But we advise you to look for hotels not only on Booking, but also using the Hotellook service. It compares prices in different booking systems (Booking.com, Agoda.com, Ostrovok.ru, etc.) and gives you the best options. Having chosen the most suitable hotel, you go to the website of the booking system (the same Booking or Agodu), where the booking takes place. Here's a link:

Happy travel!

Dear readers, do you advise yourself what to see in Singapore in 2 days? Looking forward to your feedback! And don't forget - we know everything about traveling in Asia! And not only in Asia 😉

For example, if you come to town for the weekend. Banana-lemon Singapore is the most civilized corner of Asia (and the world as a whole), a city-state with a territory 300 times smaller than Belarus. A rare European chooses this island as the only destination for travel, but in vain. Two days are not enough to open Singapore, but it is enough to return from it with a bunch of open questions, especially if you have already met other Asian countries.

Singapore is ideal for a relaxing holiday. Singaporeans are never in a hurry, even if they are very late (and you quickly become imbued with this pace of life), here everything works like a clock (buses and subways run on schedule and do not fail when stations are announced), and the country itself is safe to the point of fanaticism: if you are where- then you forgot your bag or dropped your money, you can find them in the same place even after a day or two. Singapore is multicultural (Chinese, Malays, Indians, many Australians live here) and polyreligious (Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism ... only 10 religions). A kind of Asia in miniature, only very clean, friendly to foreigners and speaks English. Beaches, an insane number of parks preserved despite the shortage of free kilometers, as well as malls and high-tech entertainment make for cool and often free leisure activities.

How to get there?

We are 9 thousand km away from Singapore. If we translate this distance into flight hours - about 12, taking into account transfers and transfers, the flight can stretch for a day or two.

It is cheaper to fly from Moscow (Emirates, China southern airlines - from € 450 in both directions), more convenient - from Minsk (Etihad - starts from € 700). Emirates flies more often than others through Dubai, in case of docking more than 3 hours it will definitely provide food, more than 12 - it will provide overnight stay.

There is also an option of a direct flight from Moscow with Singapore airlines: 11 hours in the sky. The price is quite consistent with the level of comfort - from € 700 at the time of sales.

It is more convenient to search for all cheap options on one of the aggregators like aviasales.ru.

How to get around the city?

When you arrive in Singapore from Europe, you get to Changi airport. It is connected to the city by the green MRT line, which means that the transfer problem for this country is not relevant: about 2 Singapore dollars (€ 1 = 1.5 SGD at the time of writing) - and you are in the city center.

MRT (local metro) and bus are the most popular and convenient modes of transport. There is also a city train and a taxi, but tourists use them less often.

If you have only 2 days to conquer Singapore, it is better to buy a Singapore Tourist Pass to pay for travel - a card that is valid for 3 days costs 30 SGD (in fact 20, because 10 SGD will be returned in exchange for a card) and allows you to travel around the city to unlimited quantities on all types of transport (except for the train that travels to Sentosa, but more on that later). It is sold at all MRT stations, in the Transitlink Ticket Office and Passenger Service Center.

It's cool in the MRT, you can't eat, drink or carry durian, each station has a toilet (free, of course), often a food place. Focus on the positive, because you will have to spend a lot of time in the metro: one more or less significant movement around the city takes an hour and a half. To get from point A to point B, you often have to combine modes of transport (metro and bus). In general, keep calm and wait.

Where to live?

A hostel in Singapore is not the cheapest option for an overnight stay, especially for couples travelers. If it is located in the center and has a good reputation (like, say, The Plot Hostels or The Bohemian Chic), then a bed here will cost from 30 SGD.

A good alternative to a hostel is the budget hotels of the local chain Hotel 81. Singapore hotels are scattered around the city center, and a night in such a traveling couple will cost around 50 SGD.

A night with 5-star amenities in a double room, such as the Grand Hyatt Singapore, will cost about SGD 350, at the Carlton Hotel - SGD 200, and in the famous Marina Bay Sands - SGD 700.

But to start your morning with a swim in the pool, you don't have to stay in an expensive hotel in Singapore. On the AirBnB website, you can find many offers for renting apartments / rooms in a condominium (or just a condo). This means that you will definitely have a swimming pool, gym, playground and barbecue area, sometimes tennis and badminton courts, grocery stores and food courts in your yard. The cost of a room with good conditions for one here starts from 35 SGD, for two - from 50 SGD.

The first day

The gastro-life of locals takes place at food courts, they are in every shopping center, often next to metro stations. On one food court, you can find points with Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Indonesian and other cuisine. The same diversity is relevant for the ethnic groups that eat it. An Indian, a Korean and a Chinese are sitting at one large table, but within this country they all strictly observe the generally accepted rules of decency - they eat slowly, masterly wielding chopsticks or cutlery (but always two at the same time - fork + spoon).

Asian food is spicy but controlled. At the time of order acceptance, you can say the magic "no spicy" and get your portion without fire-breathing spices. The portions are large, the food is filling. Side dishes (rice / noodle), vegetables (rarely recognizable), an egg, something meat and sauces are often found on the same plate. One meal costs 4-7 SGD. And when you're at the food court, be sure to find a juicing outlet. They are divine here (however, as in all tropical countries). Choose fruits, ask them to mix into one cocktail and enjoy the juice, which is more like puree (2-3 SGD for a large glass with ice, 3.5-4 SGD - without).

Asian cuisine is spicy but controlled

Do not forget that you are choosing a country on the equator for your trip, which means that it rains here, especially in November-January. It's often sunny in Singapore before lunchtime, so it's best to reschedule all your outdoor walks for this part of the day.
After breakfast, take the MRT, the stop you need is called Botanic Gardens (Cluny Rd, 1) - start your day by exploring one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world (admission is free). It is better to plan for a walk for three hours - the territory of the park is huge, and every corner is worthy of attention. This park has the most correct benches and a monument to Chopin.

We replace the natural mix with a cultural one. The inhabitants of the banana-lemon paradise profess 10 religions, which explains the huge number of temples, churches, parishes, mosques and even monasteries in the city. But you only have two days, so we choose one, the most interesting, the rest you will look out of the corner of your eye, while traveling on the subway and walking around the city. So your target is Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery (Bright Hill Rd, 88)... It is both a Buddhist monastery complex and a temple, the largest in Singapore. You enter the territory of this complex and find yourself in another world, having lost touch with the 21st century. The monks here study, work and fulfill 227 vows, while the laity bring food to the monks, light candles and listen to the teachers. “Don“ t speak unless it improves the silence ”is the motto of this place that everyone who enters here should. 162, get off at the Opp Bright Hill Tp stop.

"Don" t speak unless it improves the silence "is the mute motto of the Buddhist complex

We continue our acquaintance with the cultural flavor in Chinatown and Little india (metro stations of the same name). By the way, it's time for lunch, and it's better if it happens to you in Chinatown. For example, in Kok sen coffee shop (Keong Saik Rd, 30)where you can taste authentic Chinese claypot with vegetables and tofu.

Both quarters are the part of Singapore that has not received the European upgrade, it lives by its own rules and is very different from the combed city. In Chinatown, you can find gum, beer on the street and smoke a cigarette with some Chinese in the alley. In the evening, the Chinese drink beer, chifirok and read newspapers in cafes. Relatively clean here from Singapore.

But the Indian quarter is difficult to give such a compliment. The spirit of Asia is felt more strongly here, not only in a figurative sense. For a minute, you will think that you are in an Indian film of the 80s and Zita and Geeta will now come around the corner. As in their homeland, Hindus eat here with their hands and do not have high standards of purity. Although the smell of curry and incense is on the streets, the abundance of flowers and bright sarees make up for the negative.

For a moment you will think that you are in an Indian film of the 80s and Zita and Geeta will now come out of the corner

The famous Mustafa Shopping Center is located in Little India (Syed Alwi Rd, 145) - 7 floors of goods for every taste, from medicines to electronics. Drop in here for at least souvenirs (you can get tax-free for shopping). Here you can also buy durian in its different versions, which are allowed for carrying in baggage (Durian cake, Durian guan or sweets), if you really want to test its taste with family and friends.

Someone calls him the king of fruits, others - a hellish fruit, a stinker, others agree to the compromise “hell - outside, heaven - inside”, but it is difficult to keep indifference to him. In general, you have no right to leave Asia without your own experience. It is best to try fresh durian. You can buy it in Singapore only in some places, one of them is evil geylang quarter, another very atmospheric corner of Singapore, the Malay cultural center of the city with legalized red light streets. To feel the atmosphere, go to Geylangin the evening, of course. Consumation bars, brothels, hourly pay in cheap hotels, strip clubs, sex shops ... Durian is sold here on the streets, the price of the issue is about 30 SGD apiece in a peel or from 10 SGD per pack of a cut delicacy.

Chili crab is another must-eat food in Singapore. You can also try it in one of the decent restaurants in Geylang - No Signboard Seafood (Geylang, 44), a 35 year old restaurant overlooking Maryna Bay. Expensive - 50-60 SGD apiece, but before you leave for dinner at the food court, remember that all today you will get to know the country for free, and allow yourself one little pleasure.

Second day

To fall in love with Singapore, you need to look into its heart, which is reliably hidden behind skyscrapers. Few succeed, so for casual tourists this city is often remembered as a high-tech stone jungle without a soul. You have one more day to be convinced otherwise.

Many associate Singapore with sentosa Island and its entertainment corporation, sea, beaches and crowds of tourists. There is objectively something to see and admire - well-groomed white sand beaches, a hinged bridge connecting the two islands, Universal Park, which immerses you in the atmosphere of Hollywood ... The cheapest way to get here is by Sentosa Express, which departs from MRT HarbourFront station (4 SGD both ways). But you are not there.

Because the soul of Singapore lives in another, less popular place among tourists - on pulau Ubin island... Here is Singapore, as it was known 60 years ago - with fishing houses on stilts, impenetrable jungle, mangroves, coconut trees, monkeys and wild boars scurrying underfoot, and a drop of civilization in the form of cafes with local cuisine and bike rental. Almost half of the island is occupied by a nature reserve (admission is free). For this adventure you will need at least 5 hours (including the road). You can get to the island by a small bumboat boat from Changi Point Ferry Terminal, they leave every 15 minutes, travel time is about 20 minutes, and one way cost is 2.5 SGD.

Before returning to civilization, be sure to stop by the local "cafe" and taste the freshly opened coconut (4 SGD), here you can have a very budgetary lunch.

Back from the island, head to another place from the past - Long Bar at Raffles Hotel (Beach Rd, 1), where the famous Singaporean sling is prepared, the same one that was 100 years ago. It has the atmosphere of old England, subdued lights, sociable bartenders and the highest concentration of foreigners in Singapore (mostly Australians). On the tables there is anlim roasted peanuts, which is very helpful, because the price of a Singaporean sling covers the cost of several meals - 30-35 SGD (depending on the ingredients).

Another place of cultural recreation is the street Orchard road - a shopping center in Singapore with a high concentration of world brands: Levi’s, Vans, Nike, Zara, Montblanc, Louis Vuitton, Calvin klein, Prada, Gucci, H&M. Each brand is a separate mall with several floors. Even if shopping is not part of your plans, it is worth taking a walk along the glamorous street. Moreover, here you will meet a nice Chinese grandfather who sells another local delicacy popular with tourists - ice cream in bread - actually delicious and cheap (1-3 SGD).

Day 2 is coming to an end and see Marina Bay Sands (Bayfront Ave, 10) only from the window of the cafe - disorder. Evening is a good reason to fix this, because at this time the city of skyscrapers is dressed in a million lights and it is better to look at them from here. Be sure to take a look at the quaint park with a plot from Avatar, walk along the bridge in the form of a DNA molecule, and by 21.30 hurry up to see an incredible show on the water (it is best to watch it from the wooden deck at the entrance to the hotel), when the water screen of a billion small droplets a picture of a person's life is projected. It has emotions, happiness, family, a lot of creativity and love.

What to see in Singapore in 1-2-3 days on your own (My itinerary with excursions)

Keep in mind that in Singapore, all the sights, shops, shops and even many cafes and restaurants close early, already at 6-7 pm, so you will not roam much here, and if you gape, you can even stay hungry, or you have to go to expensive restaurants that are open sometimes and around the clock.

Strongly i recommend visiting the main mass entertainment attractions of Singapore on weekdayswhen the locals are at work, and not go for a walk with their children where you want to go for a walk. The less queues and crowds of people, the more pleasant it is to walk in any city, and Singapore is no exception. Well, I think so.

Weather in March was quite hot, but we almost did not suffer from the heat here, largely due to the fact that everywhere in the premises and in transport the air conditioner rules the show. And in the subway, there is generally a natural freezer, so I will no longer go to Singapore without warm clothes.

Now I will proceed to a detailed schedule of our trip to Singapore, where we spent a total of almost 90 hours or 3.5 days... Well, did you fly? ...

1 day in Singapore (arrival)

12.30 So, we flew to Singapore from Phuket on a low-cost Air Asia plane at lunchtime, the flight here is very short, about 1.5 hours, so I didn't even have time to sleep on the plane, as I usually do.

13.30 We received a visa upon arrival and luggage very quickly, literally 15-20 minutes after arrival - we were given a visa, after which we immediately received our luggage.

We immediately bought a local SIM card and even had time to drink Asian Dolce Latte coffee in Singapore Starbucks, I have such a tradition of drinking coffee in Starbucks airport.

14.00 Taxis in Singapore are something that can be used freely, because unlike everything else, it is relatively inexpensive here.

14.35 So from Changi airport we took a taxi.

To the hotel VHotelLavender it took 20 minutes and 21 singodollars over the counter. I'll tell you about it separately.

In general, while we received a visa, we arrived, checked into the hotel, took a breath - it was already about four days.

Gardens by the Bay, Merlion & Clarke Quay (1 day)

These sights are a real visit to Singapore and acquaintance with the city, I think, it is better to start right there.

16.40 The first attraction that I initially wanted to visit was, so I was impressed by their photos, even more than all the other attractions in Singapore. You can say that I came here for them. For them and for the famous Singapore Zoo. But so we went there first of all.

Right there, where the Gardens, there is another landmark of Singapore - the Dome 1 and Dome 2 greenhouses; on the day of our visit, only the second greenhouse was open. Accordingly,.

20.00 While it was light, we looked at the gardens and admired the miraculous trees, and when it got dark and it gets dark in the equator area very early and rapidly, we went to the "Gardens by the Bay" music and light show and even climbed a suspended ladder stretched between artificial trees decorated with fresh flowers.

We liked the show so much that we watched it a couple of times before moving on.

21.30 The next point of attraction was Chinatown with already closed shops and clarke Quay, where a huge number of bars and restaurants are located, as well as the point of departure for river trams Bumboat River Tour.

So our first day in Singapore ended with a romantic S $ 23 boat ride and some disgusting plastic ice cream.

Then we had no idea that the statue of the famous symbol of Singapore, the mermaid lion - Merlionon this trip we will see only here, from a tourist boat. Then we never found time to get closer to him.

But at least no one obscured the views of it from the water and it can be perfectly seen.

23.40 We returned to the hotel at about midnight and immediately fell asleep, because tomorrow we were waiting for an even more adventurous day in Singapore.

Singapore Zoo & Marina Bay Sands Observation Deck (2 days)

With any format and with any combination of entertainment attractions that you plan to see, it is worth staying here for a light laser show, after which all events are closed here on Sentosa and after which you can, driven from the island by Sentosa guards, calmly go either to your hotel. or take a walk in the city center.

21.30 Despite the fact that after Sentosa we were very tired, we still went from there to the city center, to walk and gaze at the sleeping city. After all, this was our last evening in Singapore on this visit.

I really wanted to make a ritual tour of the Fountain of Wealth, but during our trip it was closed for reconstruction. But suddenly we saw the night Chinatown, with shops and shops closed due to the late time.

23.30 We were already at our metro station again and, as the pensioners, went to bed, because we definitely didn’t have the strength to go out all night, our legs simply fell off again.

Orchad Road and Changi Airport (4 day, final)

9.00 After the last evening, the last day in Singapore came, but we did not plan anything global for this day. Before lunch we wandered in our district.

in 11.00 after the long-awaited checkout from the hotel, where we were physically unable to stay because of the suffocating aroma of chemical lavender (Lavender, yeah), although we only came to this hotel to sleep, but for all these 3 days we were tired of it.

We left our things in the lobby and walked around Singapore a little more, or rather went to Orchad Road for shopping. Well, how about shopping? 8)

I didn't have any global shopping plans here, but I really wanted to look at the windows and maybe buy something. So I didn't leave Singapore without any shopping.

Orchad Road is a real paradise for people with money. All the most famous brands Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and other large and small shops are located right here, on this street with outdoor air conditioning and shopping centers, which cannot be bypassed in two weeks.

There are both standalone boutiques and multi-storey shopping malls with less luxury brands.

Most of all, I was surprised by the presence in these shopping centers of ordinary Chinese rags and definitely fake Herve Leger dresses, and this is all for all the severity of Singapore's laws prohibiting and punishing fake sellers, but it turns out even here they manage to break the laws.

You can spend at least a week on Orchad Road, if you had money. We had enough money for a couple of hours, so right after shopping, grabbing our many bags at the hotel, we again took a taxi and went straight to Changi airport, which is legendary and also worth spending a few hours before further its departure. Because this is also a real attraction.

Already at the Singapore Airport, we finally checked in our luggage and plunged into the abyss of Duty Free, for which we left a little money and numerous entertainment options of this very-very airport in the world, where there is even a swimming pool, a SPA-elephant and a tropical park with butterflies.

And we have already bought our Singaporean souvenirs here, at the airport, during our walks I have never seen anything like it. Perhaps it was just worth spending more time shopping and visiting Chinatown in the afternoon, for sure all this is there and much cheaper (as is usually the case).

And finally we could not rush anywhere and at the airport we finally went to an authentic restaurant, tasted local food and once again made sure that we did not like the local food at all, and only for this reason we would hardly be able to live here for more than 4 days or would have died with hunger.

16.55 Well, everything, our trip to Singapore is now definitely over and we flew to Beijing on a Singapore Airlines plane, eating sugary ice cream and enjoying the equally sugary Indian film "Son of Sardar" ...

All attractions on the map of Singapore

For convenience, I attach a map with all the attractions of Singapore, which I have divided into categories (Main attractions, Parks and zoos, Entertainment (With the best cafes, bars and restaurants) and Hotels.

Just uncheck the category that you DO NOT want to see on the map.

What we did NOT have time to see in Singapore in 96 hours

Indian and Chinatown (during the day), Jurong bird park, Night safari at the zoo and the second half of Sentosa with the new Oceanarium and Universal Studio, but we could not even physically cover it all in such a short time and did not even plan in our schedule, well or it is necessary to have a spare pair of legs to get around all this and be alive and full of energy the next morning.

Although, there are cyborg travelers that they can get up early and get around the sights faster. Here is an example of a similar schedule that I found on a website.

Perhaps, with a clearer schedule and without wasting time on moving in unknown directions, you can walk everywhere faster, but how they were able to inspect the Oceanarium on Sentosa in half an hour, I can't imagine. We, as can be seen from my travel diary to Singapore, each attraction took at least half a day, and many of them generally wanted to be seen both in daylight and in the night illumination of a big city. What is the joy of a symbolic visit to some sights, I don't know?

And I also regret that we never saw the fountain of riches, because when we arrived there, it was closed for reconstruction. That’s why not all is well with my riches. So on my next visit to Singapore I will start with him 8) And I will live exclusively in, well, this economy. Frugal travel is definitely not about Singapore.

And I would also very much like to know what a beach vacation in Singapore is and go to the local islands, because I have never been on the other side of the equator, and a visit to Bintan or Batam could fix that. It is interesting to see if he exists, a beach vacation in banana-lemon Singapore, because the beaches that I saw on Sentosa, after the Thai ones, did not impress me too much. Perhaps, if you are also interested in the islands, the recommendations of experienced travelers in Asia will be useful to you:

The closest islands to Singapore are Sibu, Tinggi and the largest Tioman. You can get to them from Mersing. You can get to Tioman directly from Singapore (Tanah Merah Ferry terminal) in 4.5 hours. There is the beautiful coastline of Desaru. Also from Singapore by ferry to Tanjung Belungkor (from Changi Point) then to Desar by taxi.

It would also be possible to combine a trip to Singapore with a visit to Malaysia (as many do), but for some reason I didn't want to go there this time at all. You get tired of the constant moving and collection-analysis too.

So take a look and think for yourself, if you are planning your itinerary in Singapore, be guided by my travel diary or similar travel plans of other travelers, maybe you will meet 96 hours, or maybe you decide to see Singapore in more detail and without haste and stay here longer ( preliminarily, of course, o).

Our route was quite intense and at the same time quite tiring, because most of the day excursions were walking and there was practically no time for rest or even food. But on the other hand, we got a general idea of the city and we saw all the most interesting things for ourselves. It will be doubly interesting to come here next time.

And the fact that something else suddenly remained unseen is good! This is a reason to come back here to once again marvel at this wonderful city, which has certainly become even better, more beautiful, even more amazing. Who knows, maybe some new laws have been invented there and a couple of points have appeared, which in Singapore is absolutely impossible to do. 8)

I would be glad if my recommendations for an independent trip to Singapore were useful to you or at least just interesting. Sorry for a large number of phone photos, but somehow it happened, and without pictures at all, the post seemed boring to me. 8)

General information on Singapore and features of tourism in this country

Singapore is a country not as popular with Russians as Thailand or Vietnam, largely due to its high cost and lack of charters with all the consequences. This is probably the very first feature that catches your eye in Singapore.

Everything is expensive here - hotels, food, water ... And a trip here through a travel agency is generally a pleasure for super-rich people. Once I tried to count in the agency, I got scared and for a long time did not even dream of Singapore.

Singapore is much more accessible if you choose to visit it on your own. Stock up on English and plan your trip, I hope my practical advice will be useful to you too.

After all, this city-state is definitely worth seeing, because Singapore is a real city-of the future, from which the impression that this is not a city, but the scenery for some fantastic film, everything is so unrealistic, technological and even a little ... artificial.

Russian citizens have the right to stay in Singapore without a visa for 96 hours and this is a good reason to visit this city-state, passing through, traveling through Asian countries.

If there is a need, stay here longer, and I'll tell you about that in a separate post. It's pretty simple and very fast.

The main thing is to spend these transit hours, during which the state is ready to let tourists in, as efficiently as possible, without rushing, but also not driving yourself like a horse in a cheap western, trying to visit the main attractions of the wonderland and not miss the most interesting.

Book a hotel in Singapore on the booking

I'm telling you about the Singapore route, what to see in Singapore in a day, two, three or four days. Most tourists visit the city-state of Singapore as part of visa-free transit, i.e. for up to 96 hours, and some even arrive in the city for a day or two, and fly further, for example, during the route from Russia to Indonesia.

In the previous article, I talked about, and now I will tell you about how to optimally combine these attractions in the route around the city.

Walking around Singapore: in front of the Marina Bay Sands hotel ship

I want to note a few points right away:

1. Even a well-planned route in Singapore is not always possible to implement 🙂 For example, in our case, because of the rain, we had to redraw the plan for two days, and because of fatigue, I did not visit two places that I really wanted to get to: the LeVel 33 pub.

2. Despite the fact that on trips we get up early and leave the hotel at 8-9 am, do not dine in cafes and restaurants, but have some fast food on the way, for some reason it turns out that we have time to look less than many other tourists! Even on our trip along, I noticed that, following a clearly planned route based on reviews, we manage to visit only 70% of our plans ... And I also don’t like to visit attractions for show, but I try to fully enjoy the rest 🙂

What to see in Singapore in 4 days. Singapore itinerary

Day 1. Around the Bay - Marina Bay - Gardens by the Bay - Greenhouses

We start our day either near the fountain of wealth or near, depending on which part of the city the hotel is located in. We slowly go out to the embankment by the bay, pass the Esplanade theater, the floating stadium and cross the DNA bridge to the famous one. We go inside the building into a pleasant coolness. Here you can relax, grab a bite to eat at the food court, have a coffee at Starbucks, or drop by a couple of shops.

We walk from our hotel along the Boat Quay and exit to the park near Merlion
It is difficult to take a photo against the background of the Merlion without strangers in the frame 🙂

From the salutary coolness following the signs to “Garden by the bay” we go out to the street k. By the way, please note that for this you need to go from the MBS shopping mall to the Marina Bay Sands hotel building, the transition is on the second (or third) floor! We tried to walk across the street, but we ended up on a road with no pedestrian crossing! And I didn't want to break the rules in Singapore, I had to go around for a long time ...

We stroll through the gardens by the bay, past the lake and huge Super trees and smoothly approach two greenhouses -. A visit to two greenhouses will take three hours, it is best to visit them in the midday heat (well, or, like us, wait out the rain in them). It is cold in greenhouses, so it is advisable to stock up on a jacket and a scarf - a stole.

Are you cold? We leave the greenhouses on the street and again find ourselves in the tropical heat 🙂 We go to the central Super trees, climb the skyway - a bridge between two trees, take a walk, photograph the gardens by the bay from a height.

Bridge (sky wai) between two trees

After the walk, we return to Marina Bay Sands and visit the observation deck or rooftop bar SE LA VI. It is best to visit the observation deck at sunset to admire the city by daylight and with night illumination.

Quite by chance we got a table with a good view of the gardens by the bay. I'm drinking a cocktail. Frankly, it's better to order beer, cocktails are tasteless ...
View from the bar to evening Singapore

We go down to the gardens by the bay and watch the show "Garden Rhapsody". During the evening, there are two shows at 19:45 and 20:45. The show is best watched lying on a green lawn between trees 🙂

Show "Garden Rhapsody"

Video:

If you watch the Garden Rhapsody at 19:45, you can catch the Spectra laser-water-music show at 21:00, which is usually watched from the platform in front of the MBS shopping mall. The show takes place daily at 20:00, 21:00, and on weekends also at 22:00.

Well, then, if you have enough energy, you can go to LeVel 33 bar for a glass of beer or to the Long Bar of the Raffles hotel for the legendary Singapore Sling cocktail, or take a metro / taxi and return to the hotel. The itinerary in Singapore on the first day is completed 🙂

Day 2. Sentosa Island

One day out of four, I advise you to fully devote. Take the metro to Harbor Front station, and then take the cable car, monorail or walk across the bridge to reach the island. How to get to Sentosa c.

On the way to the island of Snetosa

On the island, everyone will find something to do for the whole day, just choose what you are interested in: a park, an aquarium, a water park, an observation tower, museums or other entertainment, which I have already described in detail in the article about Setosa. You can go to the beach and check in at the southernmost point of mainland Asia 🙂

Day 3. Animals - birds - flowers

The route of this day depends on how much you love flora and fauna 🙂 For me, the ideal route for this day is as follows:

 • ... I advise you to arrive early, before the opening, or at least by 9 o'clock. Plan at least four hours to visit the zoo.
 • River Safari Park. There is also something to do here for 2-3 hours. And near the pavilion with pandas, I can generally hang out for an hour - another 🙂
 • Rest, lunch and dinner and visits to the park. Night safari.
 • Take a taxi home to the hotel 🙂
 • Zoo 4-5 hours
 • By taxi to the bird park and there, too, 3-4 hours.
 • Zoo
 • By taxi to the botanical garden, or rather to its best part - in 🙂

Unfortunately, we walked around the Singapore Zoo in the rain. But still I really liked the zoo
At the zoo in Singapore
This tree kangaroo impressed me! I've never seen such a beast
In the orchid garden
Gorgeous collection of orchids

In the evening of the same day, with the option without a park Night safari, you can have time to walk around Chinatown, buy souvenirs and have dinner there. Or visit the bar on the 63rd floor of 1-Altitude.

Day 4. What did not have time for the previous three days

What to see in Singapore on the last, fourth day depends on your preferences. Are you interested in ethnic neighborhoods? Or the National Museum of Singapore? Or a boat trip? Or shopping? It's up to you to choose.

You can walk in the Arab, Indian or Chinatown quarters, go to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and there it is already a stone's throw from the rooftop observation deck.

And then take the metro and get to Orchard road, where you will find some chic shopping 🙂 Or go to Promenade station and ride a Ferris wheel at sunset. And in the evening, dine on the Clar Key embankment.

What to see in Singapore in 2 - 3 days

If I had only 2 - 3 days in Singapore, then I would do this:

 • The route through Singapore on the first day of the described above has remained unchanged.
 • On the second day, in the morning, I would visit the zoo, and in the afternoon, the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Chinatown, then The [email protected], dinner, and then either the Ferris wheel or the 1-Altitude bar.
 • The third day I would take to Sentosa, or rather to the Universal Studio Park, I would try to keep within 4-5 hours, so that in the evening I would still have time to walk along the Clar Key embankment or ride a boat.

What to see in Singapore in 1 day

What to see in Singapore in 1 day? Personally, I would choose the route of the first day described above. Perhaps with minor adjustments, for example, I would visit one of the two greenhouses in order to free up time for the Ferris wheel or other places of interest to me.

Let's sum up

It is always useful to plan a route, but you need to understand that force majeure is possible: for example, because of the rain, sit somewhere in the room for two hours or get so tired of the heat that you want only one thing - in an air-conditioned room 🙂

I advise you not to combine such energy-consuming and far from each other places as Universal Park on Sentosa and the zoo on the same day.

Personally, four days in Singapore seemed a little too little, we didn’t have much time, we will come again 🙂 But my friend, who was also in Singapore for four days, had enough time for everything she planned and she does not plan to return to Singapore anymore 🙂
