Rest in Varvarovka. Varvarovka Hotels

Varvarovka is a village on the way from Sukko to, it is behind Varvarovka that lies the last (first) pass, where the Caucasus Mountains begin, and an amazing view of Anapa and the entire Black Sea coast opens up.
Geographically, Varvarovka belongs to Anapa and lies on the highway that connects Anapa and Sukko (Bolshoi Utrish).
Varvarovka is famous for its picturesque gorge on the Black Sea coast - the Varvarovskaya Gap, although the mountains here are not high, but very beautiful!
There are also pebble beaches Varvarovskaya Shchel and a very clean sea.
It is better to relax here from July, as the sea is constantly renewed by currents and can be cool at the beginning of summer.

Varvarovka is more suitable for wild recreation, you can even pitch a tent in the local forest, there are campsites, travel to the beach is paid, but there are minimal amenities, there are almost no shops, but there are few people.

If you wish, you can move along the sea coast to the village of Sukko, there is a narrow wild beach near the White Rocks, a convenient place for diving and swimming if the beaches in Sukko are crowded.

Varvarovka, vacation in Anapa

Varvarovka, by the way, is famous for its local winery and company store in the village, where you can buy this wine at very reasonable prices! I highly recommend that anyone visiting these parts stop by this store, because the wine here is real! Unlike many shops where they can sell you “powdered wine” or chacha made from alcohol flavored with additives. Anyone who drank knows!
In Sukko itself, only in one store on Broadway I found more or less normal factory wine; in other places they make it one way or another. Wine is also sold by private traders (and chacha too), but this is absolutely no good. Wine cannot be taken from hand; all traders either dilute it or make it from powder. There is no real homemade wine there!
For this reason, I highly recommend stopping by the Varvarovka branded (factory) store and buying different wines there! This is not a fake!
Of course, some wines there are worse than in Temryuk, but this is real wine - you won’t regret it! There are wines, such as Black Doctor, Enchantress or Tatiana’s Day, which are no worse in quality than Georgian, but cost significantly less!
Surprisingly, no one in Russia is particularly promoting the Anapa Wines brand, although it is a worthwhile endeavor, especially in the era of the fall of the ruble.
The mountain slopes planted with vineyards near Varvarovka are also beautiful; the climate here is suitable.
Varvarovka, vacation in Anapa

The local mountains are suitable for small hiking trips with a camera!
From Sukko you can climb Bald Mountain, admire the sea views, and then from the top along a well-trodden path you can reach the Varvarovskaya Gap, the landmark is a white gazebo, which also offers beautiful views of the sea!
Then you can go down to the Varvarovskaya Shchel beach, and along the edge of the sea return back to Sukko; along the road there will be the so-called wild beach at the White Rocks.
The rocks are made of limestone or marl - they have a whitish light, the beach here is narrow, but there are few people, the water is very clear, there are huge boulders near the water, you should swim carefully.
Along the shore you can go to the central beach of Sukko.
The entire journey can be completed leisurely in 1.5-2 hours; local children's groups from holiday camps call the hike Route No. 1.
Even more interesting is the route to Soldatskaya Mountain, which is on the other side of Sukko, it is longer, but for lovers of pawns, I note that it is even more interesting and beautiful, since Soldatskaya Mountain is higher than Bald Mountain, and there are large tracts of forest on it!

GENERAL INFORMATION
The village of Varvarovka is located just 5 km from Anapa, next to the northeastern slope of Mount Lysaya. The settlement can hardly be called a resort, but, nevertheless, every year tourists come here who want to escape from the bustle of the city, dust, noise and other “benefits” of civilization, at least for the duration of their vacation.

Because Varvarovka is a magnificent nature, clean air and unusual silence, which is disturbed only by the singing of birds, the sound of the wind and the rustling of leaves. Here you won't be woken up at 6 a.m. on a weekend by the sound of a lawn mower, drill, or garbage truck. There are no neighbors arguing behind the wall or children jumping on the floor above. Only blessed silence, peace and freedom. Varvarovka, vacation in Anapa

ATTRACTIONS OF VARVAROVKA

STELLA - THE BEGINNING OF THE CAUCASUS MOUNTAINS
On Russia Day, between Varvarovka and Supsekh (06/12/2013), on the Semisamsky ridge, right next to the highway, the grand opening of a stele marking the beginning of the Greater Caucasus Range took place.
It is symbolic that a mountain eagle spread its bronze wings on it. Yes, this is where the spurs of the Caucasus Mountains, the youngest mountains in Europe, begin. Their age, by geological standards, is the youngest - “only” about 10 million years, and they stretch across the territory of Russia to the Caspian Sea for 1000 km!
The author of the project was the chief architect of the Krasnodar Territory, Yuri Rysin, and the sculptor was Vasily Polyakov. Their “tandem” owns many of the memorial signs of our resort: a bust of Pushkin near the sanatorium “DiLUCH” and Ataman Bezkrovny near the Russian Gate, a monument to the founder of the resort, Dr. Budzinsky, as well as to soldiers who died in Afghanistan, and many other Anapa monuments.
“Our wonderful resort city should have its own bright attractions, its so-called “highlights,” said Svetlana Yarovaya, first deputy head of Anapa, opening the ceremony. “I am sure that this stele will be visited, because it is located in a place where wedding processions often stop; hundreds of cars pass here every day. This means that thousands of our guests will take her image with them in memorable photographs.”

The chief architect of Kuban, Yuri Rysin, noted that there is no better place for this new symbol of the city, because from here an amazingly beautiful panorama of Anapa opens up. ZSK deputy Nikolai Ivanyushkin emphasized the importance of the stele for children, who thanks to it can learn new details of the geography of our country, and sculptor Vasily Polyakov thanked Anapa, where he has lived and worked with his family for 20 years.

CROSS OF RECONCILIATION AND CONSENT
In Anapa, on the mountain between the villages of Supsekh and Varvarovka, an unusual landmark appeared: a huge concrete cross 18 meters high and 8 meters wide. The total weight of the structure, which is visible from many kilometers away, exceeds 40 tons.
The installation of the cross and all construction and installation work were carried out by the Anapa branch of the Urengoygazprom REU. The erection of the Christian symbol was timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, but the history of the appearance of the cross on the mountain is unusual. In August 2004, the local Orthodox gymnasium went out into nature, choosing a mountain near the village of Supsekh as a resting place. When leaving, the children laid out a cross of stones there.
On the Orthodox holiday of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross - September 27, 2004 - a five-meter iron cross was installed in the same place. The city authorities supported the initiative, and soon a solemn installation ceremony took place, which was attended by the head of the city Vladimir Tsukanov and the rector of the Church of St. Onuphriya's father is Victor. According to the organizers, the cross should also carry a great spiritual load - being located at the very beginning of the Caucasus Mountains, it is designed to remind all Caucasian peoples of the need for peace and harmony between them.

Church Church of Barbara the Great Martyr
This church was built with the help and expense of local residents next to the source, after in 1993 they (the residents) witnessed an extraordinary phenomenon. One day, when the sun was already setting below the horizon, a woman in a white robe appeared above the spring. Silently, she extended her hand and pointed to the spring, after which she disappeared, as if she had evaporated. In the morning the whole village knew about this event.

People came to the consensus that it was the patroness of the village herself - Saint Barbara, and that with her gesture she pointed to a source with healing powers. Therefore, the source was immediately put in order and consecrated, and the temple of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara was erected above it. Now every year, on the day of her blessed memory, a religious procession is made to the source. In the temple itself they pray for deliverance from diseases, epidemics, death, and sacred water is collected from the source.

Park of Ancient Culture "Dumeau"
Here, guests of Varvarovka will enjoy an interesting educational excursion, during which you can learn about the life and culture of the ancient Greeks. And even those who are not very fond of such events will not be bored, because here you can not only watch the exhibition and listen to the guide, but also touch some of the exhibits. Here you can even try on ancient Greek armor or take a photo in ancient clothes, shoot from an ancient crossbow or throw a spear. Varvarovka, vacation in Anapa

There is also an exhibition of ancient dishes, where you can not only learn how and what they were made from, but also try to master the art of pottery on your own. The master will show you how a shapeless piece of clay turns into a vase or other vessel, and then you can try to repeat this action. Also, if you wish, you can paint a vase or pot you like, and then become its owner. Of course, this is not a free pleasure, but you will bring with you from your vacation the best handmade souvenir in the world.

VIEW FROM BALD MOUNTAIN TO THE VAVAROVSKA GAP

MOUNT SUKKO, BALD MOUNTAIN
This is the popular name for the Economic Mountain, located in the village of the same name. The pebble beach of the village ends with the mountain itself, whose height is about 20 meters above sea level. The sea water at this beach is clean and transparent, so dolphins often swim here.
But Mount Sukko is famous, first of all, not for its beaches, but for the inscriptions that are laid out on it with stones. The fact is that the nearest stones are located not on the mountain itself, but in its surroundings, and the vacationers made titanic efforts, carrying piles of stones up the mountain in order to perpetuate the name of their hometown on the hills of the Black Sea coast. There are so many toponyms posted here that you can study the geography of Russia. But the largest inscription is, of course, “SUKKO” - hence the popular name of the hill - this gigantic inscription, apparently composed over many summer seasons, can be seen even from satellite images of the Google Earth service! Varvarovka, vacation in Anapa

Also on the mountain you can find many so-called “Wishing Bushes”, hung with a variety of rags and shreds. According to legend, if you tie a piece of paper on a bush on Mount Sukko and make a wish, it will certainly come true. However, such “Wish Bushes” can be found in many places along the route from the village of Sukko and right up to Bolshoi Utrish.

The easiest way to get to Mount Sukko is from Anapa by minibus; they run here every 20 minutes, and the road itself from the Anapa station will take just over half an hour. Having got out of the vehicle at the right place, you can start the ascent almost from the road - the paths on the mountain are well-trodden, and the slopes are smooth, so the ascent cannot be called extreme.

MOUNTAIN MARE
The highest point in this part of the Caucasus Range. The height of Kobyly is 531.6 m. The forest along the slopes of the mountain rises to the very top, on which a metal triangulation sign is installed. From the village of Sukko to Sukhoi Liman there is a dirt road that runs along the northern slope of the mountain. In dry weather you can even drive a car here.

Beach at White Rocks.
A wild beach, where there are almost no people, is located at the base of Bald Mountain, 250-300 meters from the central beach.
Convenient for diving.

Pebble beach Varvarovskaya Shchel
There is another pebble beach in Anapa, it is located on the road to the Utrish nature reserve, between the village of Varvarovka and the village of Sukko, namely not far from the monument to them. D. Kalinina. This is a little-known beach, visitors do not know about it, this beach is mainly popular among the local population, since there is not such an influx of vacationers as on other city beaches. Local residents know this beach as Varvarovskaya Shchel; due to its location, the pebble beach seems to be located at the bottom of the gorge, between two mountains.
This area can also be attributed to the Utrishsky reserve; on the rocky shores of the mountains, rare relict plants also grow, and rare species of birds and animals are found. The sea on this beach is one of the cleanest; the water here does not bloom. A beautiful pebble beach with a gentle entrance to the sea. There are changing cabins on the beach, and you can rent sun loungers. There is a summer cafe. There are no shops here, so it is better to take care of food and drinking water in advance. On the beach there is a rental of catamarans, jet skis - everything that a modern person cannot do without on vacation. However, there is still a calmer atmosphere here compared to the central beaches of Anapa.

If you go to the right, you will come across huge stone boulders; the beach is less developed, but this makes it no less attractive, since here nature is untouched by human hands.
Beautiful underwater fauna will delight scuba diving enthusiasts. A large number of ridges, depressions, shallows, huge stones, where a large variety of fish live.
Also, lovers of tent holidays can safely camp here on the shore. There is also a stream with fresh water.
You can get to this beach by car only along a dirt road winding among the mountains, along an abandoned vineyard. In bad rainy weather it will be very difficult to leave this place, unless of course you have an SUV, but as a rule, many people come with their own car without any problems. When entering with your car, you will have to pay an environmental fee of 100 rubles per car; already at the entrance to the beach, there is a checkpoint blocked by a barrier.
This beach is suitable for those who want to relax in a calm environment away from the bustle of the central beaches of the city of Anapa.

You can get to this beach by minibus, which goes to Utrish or to the village of Sukko, just be sure to tell the driver where you want to get off, because there is no stop there, only at the request of passengers.

Climate in Varvarovka
The village is located in a temperate continental climate zone. Due to Varvarovka’s close location to the Black Sea, the climate of this area is endowed with characteristics that are inherent to the Mediterranean type, namely: snowless and very mild winters (the air temperature during this period does not drop below +2°C) and warm, long summers (the temperature stays at within +25°C). During the swimming season, which begins in May and ends in October, the water in the sea warms up to +24°C. There is very little precipitation per year - about 564 mm. There are as many as 280 sunny, clear days in the village a year.

Varvarovka Beach
The territory where the village is located is considered a protected area, so there are no noisy resorts here. Varvarovka itself is located at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level, and at the exit from it there is a gorge - the Varvarovskaya Gap. It is located between two interlocking mountains, and it is through this gorge that you can go straight to the Black Sea coast, which is impeccably clean and incredibly beautiful. However, it is better to go into the water in these places with beach shoes, since the bottom here is rocky, and sharp small stones can be found among large boulders. But among this “underwater landscape” you can often see crabs, starfish and schools of fish.

To get to the beach in Varvarovka from Anapa, it is recommended to adhere to the following landmarks: for example, the Varvarovskaya Gap is located on the way from Anapa to the Utrish nature reserve, between the villages of Sukko and Varvarovka, not far from the monument to Kalinin. The sea in this place is very clean and never blooms. The entrance to the water is quite shallow. There are sun loungers and changing cabins on the beach. There is also a summer cafe and rental points for catamarans, scooters, water sports equipment and other beach equipment. There are no shops as such nearby, so if you don’t want to eat in a cafe, take food with you.

What is also notable about the beach is that it is not crowded. Here no one will walk over your head or step over your sunbathing body. You can easily settle down in a convenient location on the beach and feel complete comfort and privacy.

Where to stay in Varvarovka

A holiday in this village can be considered more than economical. Due to the fact that Varvarovka is practically not gasified (especially in the private sector), housing prices here are almost bargain-basement. Therefore, finding a room from private owners for 200-300 rubles per person per day is unlikely to be very difficult. If you prefer hotels or guest houses, then staying in them will cost a little more, but it won’t hurt your pocket too much. If you want to save a lot of money, you can come here with a tent and stay in a tent camp (just to the right of the beach). By the way, there is a small stream with fresh water, which can be very useful in “field” conditions.

Therapeutic holidays in Varvarovka

This village is simply an ideal place for lovers of eco-tourism, since there are simply an incredible number of forests, including relict ones. Only here on the coast you will see the rarest Pitsunda pines, listed in the Red Book. And among all this splendor there are several sanatoriums, the complex of treatment procedures of which includes balneology (salt baths, mud, colored clays, etc.), thalassotherapy and climatotherapy. Those tourists who suffer from respiratory diseases, nervous system disorders, cardiovascular diseases, urological and gynecological diseases regularly go to local sanatoriums to improve their health.

HISTORY OF VARVAROVKA
A little history

Varvarovka was founded in the early 19th century by retired Russian soldiers. Before this, Circassians lived here - a very energetic and hardworking people. Their main occupation was gardening. In second and third places were arable farming and sheep breeding, respectively. As a result of all this economic activity, part of the forests in the north-west of the Caucasus was destroyed, as they were cut down for trade and construction.

However, despite all this, the Circassians used every piece of land in such a way that erosion of mountain slopes and landslides did not occur: they left forest belts across the slopes. But after this people were displaced, and then completely evicted from this territory, caring for the land was lost, as well as the continuity of generations and cultures was disrupted.

Russian settlers appeared in these areas in the 1820s. But only after the end of the Caucasian War did they begin to develop the surrounding lands. At the end of the 19th century, Czech settlers appeared on the territory of Varvarovka. They introduced grape culture, planting vineyards on mountain slopes and cultivating them by hand.

The village got its name thanks to an ordinary Russian woman, Varvara, who during the Caucasian War nursed wounded and sick soldiers, not sparing herself. Her patience and kindness were limitless, which is why the village was named after her. And at the beginning of the 21st century, Varvara was canonized.

The most beautiful beach south of the Anapa resort is Varvarovskaya Shchel, at least that’s what some reviews say. It is a picturesque, protected area of the Black Sea coast, lost among mountains, rocks and dense forest. The absence of crowds of vacationers and minimal infrastructure gives this place a special charm: a vacation here can be called somewhat wild.

Where is Varvarovskaya Gap on the map?

The beach is located between the villages of Varvarovka and Sukko, 14 km southeast of. The Anapolis Residence residential complex is located nearby.

What is interesting about the beach and its infrastructure

Varvarovskoe Gorge is an incredibly beautiful natural park overlooking the Black Sea near a picturesque pebble beach. It is practically unknown among visitors, but is popular among Anapa residents. Geographically, this area can be classified as. It is notable primarily for the abundance of relict plants densely covering the high rocks. It is worth noting that the air here is extremely clean.

The Varvarovskaya Shchel beach is covered with small pebbles, which is not typical for Anapa, but is absolutely normal for Sukko. The descent to the sea is gentle, and the water is incredible and never blooms. There are few vacationers here, so the beach infrastructure is not as well developed as in other Anapa coastal areas. For convenience there are:

  • changing cabins;
  • toilet;
  • summer cafe and bar;
  • rental of sun loungers, boats, catamarans, jet skis;
  • rescue center and medical office.

There are no shops at all in Varvarovskaya Shchel, so it’s better to take the necessary things and products with you right away.

The right side is completely wild: no benefits of civilization can be found here. It is suitable for those who like to spend time alone. A special romantic atmosphere is created by the huge stone boulders scattered along this section of the coast. Against the backdrop of majestic rocks and the endless sea, you will get picturesque photos. Fans of snorkeling will also enjoy the Varvarovskaya Gap: many representatives of marine fauna live among the shallows, rubble and depressions.

A dirt road leads to the beach, passing an abandoned vineyard. It is worth noting that at the entrance to the protected area there is a special checkpoint with a barrier, where all tourists must be charged an environmental fee. Getting to the coastal edge in bad weather is especially difficult, since the path may be washed out - you will need all-terrain vehicles.

Accommodation in Varvarovskaya Shlit: hotels and camping

Most visitors prefer to stay in Sukko, and Varvarovskaya Shlit is visited only a couple of times during the entire vacation period. For those who value personal space and want to take a break from noisy resorts, guest houses and campsites near the beach are suitable:

Boarding house "Shingari" . The modern health and entertainment complex is located just 50 m from its own section of the beach on the territory of Varvarovka Shlit. It is surrounded by a relict juniper grove, creating excellent conditions for treatment and spending time. All rooms - regardless of category - are equipped with furniture, air conditioning, TV, refrigerator and private shower room. The capacity of the complex is 300 guests.

Autocamping "Varvarovskaya Shchel" . The summer camp is located by the river, on an equipped section of the beach. Travelers are offered a clean, spacious area with awnings, tents, a toilet and a kitchen. Truly, this is an excellent place for independent wanderers whose goal is to relax as close to nature as possible. According to reviews, there are few holidaymakers here and it is cozy.

Private hotel . Nearby there is a small guest house with a magnificent view of the sea and its rocky coast. For guests there is a banquet hall, a tennis court, a billiard room, children's and adult pools, a games room and a dance floor. Clients are accommodated in rooms of the first category, “Studios” and “Suites”, with a different number of rooms, area and equipment. The hotel has a site on the shore: guests are allocated several sun loungers with canopies, and their own bar is open for them. Operating period: from May to October.

The Varvarovskaya Shchel beach in Sukko will appeal to connoisseurs of a secluded corner alone with nature. Accommodation in this area is difficult to find, but the available accommodation options for travelers can satisfy the needs of any category of vacationers.

In Varvarovka, holidays on the Black Sea are popular among our compatriots.

Varvarovka is a small village located near Anapa. It is located 5 kilometers from this city. Varvarovka itself is located at an altitude of about 300 meters, and to get to the beach you need to go down.
