Ferrari World amusement park. Amazing rides at Ferrari World

While vacationing in the UAE, you should not ignore the Ferrari Park in Abu Dhabi, on the artificial Yas Island. Ferrari World, which has been welcoming visitors since the fall of 2010, is the largest indoor theme park on Earth. It covers an area of 200,000 m², and the dome of the building rises 45 m in height.

The Ferrari World park is of particular interest to male representatives of completely different ages - from kindergarten to retirement age. This is understandable, because even from the name it is clear: it is dedicated to the legendary Formula 1 races and everything that has anything to do with them. In addition, this is the only park on Earth dedicated to Ferrari. On its territory there is a car museum, which displays all models of the legendary Ferrari and various attractions in miniature, as well as many entertainment attractions.

Ferrari Park: proposed activities

The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi complex is more spectacular; visitors are impressed mainly by the flashy design and beautiful cars. But there are also attractions, and such that some tourists come to Abu Dhabi specifically for them. Guests of the Ferrari World complex can experience vivid emotions by riding a roller coaster at high speed, flying up in a special capsule or flying in the cockpit. Tourists can also safely drive a small car through a separate area dedicated to Italy and enjoy the surrounding views.

And on 3D attractions, what is happening seems so real and authentic that you involuntarily begin to believe in its authenticity. For an additional fee, you can even drive a “legend Ferrari” - this will appeal to both extreme sports enthusiasts and fans of beautiful cars.

There is also entertainment for children in the Ferrari World park, but not in such large quantities. For the youngest - simple carousels and climbing frames. There is a replica of a race track with pit stops and signs along the track indicating turns - the speed here is low, like a pedestrian.

Of course, many tourists try to take a photo as a souvenir of their vacation in the Ferrari park in the United Arab Emirates, especially near popular and extreme attractions.

Formula Rossa is a trendy, extreme and scary ride known as the fastest roller coaster on the planet. The speed here reaches 240 km/h in 4.9 seconds, acceleration occurs using a hydraulic catapult. The route takes about 2 minutes.

The carriages are made in the shape of famous Formula 1 cars, and the route follows the legendary Monza track.

Visitors entering the trailers receive special protective glasses; riding is only allowed in them. After the trailers arrive at the end of the route, even many adult men get out of them pale, with trembling and wobbly legs.

The Formula Rossa usually has the longest queue in the Ferrari World park; you can stand in it from 50 minutes to 3 hours. Having been waiting for so long and watching how the “flight” goes, you can conclude whether it’s worth riding on this coaster for you.

Fiorano G.T. Challenge

Visitors to the Ferrari park who have never decided to ride the Formula Rossa will undoubtedly appreciate this roller coaster. Although the Fiorano G.T. Challenge is much inferior in terms of speed, it is exciting in its own way.

There are two tracks here, each of which carries a trailer at different speeds. The peculiarity of this attraction at the Ferrari Park in Abu Dhabi is that the parallel tracks constantly intersect, and first one carriage rides in front, then another.

Flying Aces at Ferrari World claims several records at the same time: it is the first steepest coaster in the world and the highest loop in the world. The basis here is a biplane of the late twentieth century, which conveys the real movements of the aircraft during flight. For example, here you can perform aerobatic maneuvers that do not respond to the force of gravity, including a 52-meter loop from an inverted position. The biplane travels a 1.5 km long track at a speed of 120 km/h.

Without a doubt, G-Force deserves the attention of guests of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. We are talking about a 60 m high glass tower located in the roof of the building. When taking their seats, visitors think that here, as in similar attractions, they will slowly rise up and then sharply descend. But everything happens exactly the opposite: first a sharp rise up, and then a leisurely descent. Largely due to the fact that the tower is located on the roof, and that its glass walls create an excellent view, it seems as if the ride will end with ejection into the air. “G-Force” is also interesting because it allows you to view the entire Yas Island from above.

The racing simulator gives you the opportunity to fully feel like a Formula 1 racer. Those who decide to test it in action get the feeling that the car is rushing at crazy speed, and the shaking is such that many people’s abs begin to ache. In general, the race is very realistic.

But some guests at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi claim that the racing stimulator is not something original, and that similar devices are in many shopping centers in big cities.

The Scuderia Challenge car is designed for only one person, and those who want to ride it line up in a huge queue, and during the day of their stay at Ferrari World, not everyone has time to get on it. Therefore, it is better to register in advance.

By the way, Ferrari Park employees don’t talk about this, but visitors with a height of up to 165 cm cannot reach the pedals on the racing simulator. On the right side of the Scuderia Challenge there is a simple car - on it, as tourists say, you can reach the pedals. There are simpler and free analogues nearby, but there is always a queue for them too, and you also need to sign up in advance.

Restaurants on the territory of Ferrari Park

Mama Rosella

The Ferrari Entertainment Complex in Abu Dhabi has cafes and canteens, mostly operating on a self-service basis. The food is mediocre, but, for example, “Mama Rosella” has pretty good pasta and acceptable coffee. In establishments with Arabic cuisine, where ordering is done from a menu with only pictures, it is imperative to specify how spicy the main dish is. Prices, of course, are much higher than in the city - on average, you will have to pay 120 dirhams for food for one person.

The only restaurant, Cavallino, does not offer anything special, but lunch there will cost even more.

As for fast food in the Ferrari World park, it is better not to buy it there at all. Some tourists claim that the potatoes and hamburgers taste as if they were cooked in oil, which has not changed since the opening of the establishment.

Important information about Ferrari Park

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is open daily from 11:00 to 20:00. Some sources write that it is closed on Mondays, but such information is already outdated.

Attendance at the park varies on different days of the week. The busiest days are on Mondays; Tuesdays and Wednesdays are also relatively quiet. A lot of people usually gather from Thursday to Sunday.

The park in Abu Dhabi offers many activities that involve movement and are marked with a scale based on a person's height. The most interesting attractions are designed for people taller than 140 cm; for children under 110 cm there are much fewer options. If the child is under 100 cm, then the choice is very small - climbing frames and carousels. Some attractions do not allow people taller than 195 cm.

Recommendations for those going to Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi

  1. It is better to go to the Ferrari World park on your own, without a guided tour. It is advisable to set aside a full day to relax there.
  2. As for clothing, jeans or knee breeches, a sweater or a light windbreaker, comfortable shoes without heels are best - this will be the most comfortable on most attractions. In addition, there are air conditioners all around the room, and you can freeze in light clothes. There is another reason - security at the entrance does not allow people dressed only in T-shirts and shorts. You need to take a set of clothes with you for a change, since there are attractions that are sprayed with water during the passage.
  3. You won’t be able to bring food into the park - bags are checked at the entrance and everything has to be thrown away. Drinking water fountains are available in the restrooms.
  4. It is better not to take dollars with you to Ferrari Park in Abu Dhabi. It is more profitable to change currency in the city, since the exchange rate for tourists in the entertainment center is much worse.

Ferrari Park in Abu Dhabi. general information

The world-famous and popular Ferrari World Abu Dhabi complex, which translated into Russian means “Ferrari World”, is the largest excursion and entertainment park in the world, dedicated to a specific theme - cars of the famous Ferrari brand. Its territory allows both adults and children to plunge headlong into a fascinating world

If any country in the world has not yet lost the ability to surprise, it is the United Arab Emirates. Ferrari Park, which is located in close proximity to the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi, is another confirmation of this.

The journey to Yas Island takes only 10 minutes. if the traveler decides to go there directly from the airport, and about an hour from the Circuit.

Territory: the scale is impressive

An excursion to the Ferrari Park is usually enjoyed by both adults and young travelers.

The total area of the establishment is about 435 thousand square meters. m of magnificent landscape, but it should be noted that 96 thousand sq. m. are occupied by covered premises. The most striking feature is undoubtedly the streamlined red roof, which has an area of 201 thousand square meters. and built in the shape of 3 petals, each of which is a repetition of the classic lines of the legendary GT.

Note that so much aluminum was used to make the roof that it would be enough to create 16,750. The decoration of the top part of the building is considered to be the largest logo of the brand. There is simply nothing like this in the Ferrari world!

Hello future!

The Ferrari Park in Abu Dhabi is fraught with many surprises that will capture not only your spirit, but also your imagination. For example, during the construction of the foundation in 2007, a “time capsule” was laid containing a piston and connecting rod from the F1 Ferrari car, which became the champion in 2007. The capsule is scheduled to be delivered on Ferrari's centenary celebrations in 2047.

By the way, the Ferrari Park in Abu Dhabi opened its doors to visitors for the first time in mid-2010.

What is the pride of the country today?

It is difficult to imagine that at the moment the park contains over 20 attractions and unique attractions, a large number of shops, several restaurants mainly serving local or European cuisine.

You can spend quite a long time here. The cost of a ticket to Ferrari Park is quite reasonable. It depends on the category of tourist, on the length of stay and, oddly enough, on the time of year. On average it is 65-100 US dollars. Of course, it’s a lot of money, but, according to those who have already been there, it’s completely worth it.

Wow, I'll ride! or The key to an unforgettable vacation

The park has a colossal number of attractions that can interest both children and adults.

"Ferrari World" presents various simulators used to train real modern racers. In addition, you can take an entertaining trip to the Ferrari factory or into the heart of the legendary car - the Ferrari 599 engine, a sightseeing flight over the outskirts of Italy, or visit a gallery dedicated exclusively to this car brand.

For strong-willed men and women

The most popular attraction in the park is It is the fastest American race in the world with a length of 2.07 km. Sharp twists and turns are guaranteed for everyone.

The carriages, made in the shape of red Ferrari F1 cars, reach speeds of up to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds. Before you even have time to blink an eye, as they say, they are already rushing you at a speed of about 240 km/h. Dashing, what can I say!

Before the start of the race at the starting area, each participant is given a pair of glasses that allow them to protect their eyes from the powerful air currents generated during the movement. By the way, it should be noted that the trailers start with a force of approximately 20,800 hp. and rise to a height of about 52 m in 4-5 seconds, and all thanks to the use of systems at launch that resemble those used to launch jet aircraft.

Feel like a real king of the track

An equally popular attraction is the Fiorano GT Challenge, where almost anyone can try their hand at competing with other “racers” racing in parallel in trailers reminiscent of a Ferrari F430 Spider to the finish line.

During sharp accelerations and on sharp turns, competitors experience an unforgettable sensation. In each race, of course, a winner is determined.

Dedicated to curious visitors

Anyone who for some reason does not intend to visit the attractions on this particular day can go to the Ferrari Gallery, located outside of Maranello. The entire history of Ferrari is showcased here, from 1947 to the present day.

Here you can almost always meet crowds of people with cameras. Why? Everything is explained very simply: what you see around you is so amazing that a burning desire certainly arises to capture what is happening as a memory. It is not surprising that photographs with the inscription: “Dubai, Ferrari Park” are photographs that annually become a real decoration of the family archive of many, many travelers.

Modern technologies are an important component of the park

The multimedia screen provides an opportunity for gallery visitors to meet the drivers, dreamers, creators and engineers who have made Ferrari a global name and a true icon of the automotive industry.

The gallery also features films, artifacts and documents that relate to the creation and history of Ferrari.

UAE, Ferrari Park: a look at production from the inside

It is also quite interesting to visit the Made in Maranello attraction, since it allows you to be directly inside the Ferrari factory and see and learn with your own eyes how complex and fascinating the process of creating a Ferrari GT is.

At the same time, it is quite possible to follow the entire process of creating a car: design development, molten aluminum casting, engine assembly, painting, final manual assembly, as well as testing cars on the famous Maranello track - all this happens before your eyes.

Attractions for the little ones

Kids will most likely be attracted by the interactive playground Junior Training Camp, the name of which, when translated into Russian, sounds very symbolic: “Children's training camp.”

Here they can try to wash a car themselves without water, feel like a designer or engineer, ride in their own small replica of a Ferrari, control cars using a remote control, and so on.

Prices and opening hours

When entering the park, you should pay attention to important information about ticket prices. Agree that we are all accustomed to the fact that prices in most cases are divided into children's and adults'. Here everything depends on the height of the park visitor: guests are divided into 2 categories - below and above 150 cm. And based on this, the possibility of visiting certain attractions is determined (for “small” or for “large”).

The cost of a regular excursion with the opportunity to explore the territory and grounds for a person shorter than 1.5 m will cost approximately 45-46 US dollars, for those taller - 62 US dollars, and for a child whose height is less than 1 meter, there is no need to pay at all.

The park is open to visitors 6 days a week, from 12:00 to 22:00 local time. The day off is Monday.

When going on holiday to the UAE, be sure to stop in Abu Dhabi. “Ferrari Park” (the photos presented in the article allow you to appreciate the splendor of the entertainment complex) will not leave any adult indifferent, not to mention children! Don't forget to take your camera with you: when you look at the wonderful pictures later, you won't regret the money spent.

It should be noted that when visiting certain attractions, tourists are generously doused with water. Be prepared for “water procedures”.

On the territory of the Ferrari World park there is a huge number of shops offering a large selection of souvenirs, as well as goods with Ferrari symbols. The most popular clothing items are polos, sweaters, T-shirts, jackets and T-shirts. In addition, here you can buy interesting bags, watches, towels, mugs and even bed linen.

Svetlana Parfenova

If you are a fan of speed and thrills, then you should definitely visit Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. This place will remain in the memory for a long time, because it is the first theme park in the world dedicated to the legendary Italian brand Ferrari.

It is located on the artificial Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, which in itself is a reason to visit, plus this incredible complex covers an area of \u200b\u200b200,000 square meters, and such enormous dimensions put Ferrari World at the top of the world's podium among parks located indoors.

As you know, in the United Arab Emirates they like everything to be specially chic. Here are the tallest buildings in the world, the most expensive cars, the most grandiose fountains. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, as the world's largest indoor park, is not limited to the first place in terms of its size, it is also home to the fastest roller coaster, Formula Rossa, which has a maximum speed of 240 km/h and is reached in less than 5 seconds ( impressive, isn't it?). The length of the track is 2.2 km, and the shape of the attraction resembles the legendary Italian race track in the city of Monza.

By the way, the Ferrari logo crowning the roof of the building measures 65x48.5 meters and is the largest company logo ever created. The unusual design of the Ferrari World roof was developed by Benoy architects, who were inspired by the double curve of the side profile of the Ferrari GT. 12,370 tons of steel were used to support the roof, at the center of which is a 100-meter glass funnel. All other work on the construction, planning and design of the building's façade was carried out under the strict guidance of Ramboll. The construction of the building lasted two years, from November 2008 to November 2010. The grand official opening of Ferrari World took place on November 4, 2010 and since then the park has been accessible year-round.

The location of the theme park was chosen so that it is convenient for both residents and guests of the UAE to get here. It is located a 30-minute drive from the city of Abu Dhabi, and you can get to Ferrari World by bus number 109. And the journey from the international airport by car takes only 10 minutes. The park's opening hours are from 11:00 to 20:00, and the most popular days to visit are from Friday to Sunday, which is worth considering when planning your trip. Tickets to the park are divided into three categories and are best purchased in advance on the official website: http://www.ferrariworldabudhabi.com

Category 1 - bronze, provides unlimited access to attractions for the whole day. Price: adult ticket - 250 dirhams (about 5,000 rubles), children's ticket (those whose height does not exceed 1m 30 cm) - 205 dirhams (4,000 rubles). The price includes 5 dirhams for the purchase of souvenirs.
Category 2 - Silver, also provides access for the whole day, plus you can go through the fast track line to the attractions three times. Price: adult ticket - 350 dirhams (6900 rubles) and children's ticket - 305 dirhams (6000 rubles). The price includes the purchase of a souvenir for 10 dirhams.
Category 3 - gold. For 500 dirhams (9,800 rubles) you get unlimited access to all attractions, as well as an unlimited number of fast-track passes and accommodation in more comfortable seats. This ticket includes 15 dirhams towards the purchase of souvenirs.

For children under 3 years of age, entry to the park is free. While there may not be lines at the entrance, there likely will be lines for the rides. So if you're pressed for time, it may be worth paying more for a "fast track" pass. Each visitor receives a unique map, which shows the map of the park and a list of “attractions”.

We exaggerate when we write “attractions.” No, no, of course, here you will find American races and spaceshot (“free fall”), which will lift you to a dizzying height of 62 meters from the ground, and then sharply “fly” down, but most of the park consists of exhibition stands depicting, for example, the Formula 1 paddock

or a gallery of parts and machines,

a virtual tour of the Ferrari Maranello plant, giving guests an insight into the design, assembly and testing of the Ferrari GT, a mini-cinema, etc.

There are also racing simulators, a children's soft play area with miniature radio-controlled Ferraris, a 4D cinema or a ride along an artificial water channel inside the engine of a Ferrari 599. There are a total of 20 so-called “attractions” throughout the park.

Scuderia Challenge is a racing simulator. You will be able to feel like a Formula 1 pilot, get into a racing car and take part in a race on the Yas Marina virtual circuit alone or with a group. Similar to the simulators used by Scuderia Ferrari drivers in training, this simulator completely immerses you in the race conditions.

Speed of Magic - 4D representation of the adventures of the boy racer Nello, with whom you can fly along the rocks, find yourself in the heart of the jungle, take risks in ice caves and even at the bottom of the ocean. The experience of extreme temperatures, moisture, light and movement creates an experience similar to a fantasy adventure. Thus, you will be able to experience the “magic” of Ferrari and immerse yourself in an imaginary world with the whole family.

Driving with Champions is an interactive show that makes a Ferrari driver's dream test come true. Together with the driver, you will be able to experience step by step the path from GT racing to Formula 1. Navigate the high-speed corners of the Fiorano circuit and the streets around Maranello. It's not every day you get to ride with a racing legend.

Bell'Italia is an exhibition stand showcasing famous areas of Italy, buildings and racing venues. You can choose a Ferrari 250 California Spyder to drive around the attraction or stroll along the 570-meter track.

There are also presentation cars of various Ferrari models throughout the park.

In addition to the “attractions” themselves, there are shows in the Ferrari World park. Some will take you far into the past, to the 1920s, and show you the way to the dream of the creator of the brand, Enzo Ferrari himself, while others will allow you to plunge headlong into the world of Ferrari. Or, for example, a comedy show will show how funny the process of changing tires at a pit stop can be.

When you find yourself at Ferrari World for the first time, you will not be able to stop yourself from opening your mouth in amazement. Each car attracts you, literally saying to you, “Take a photo with me!”

But there is also a huge store with paraphernalia and souvenirs, where they can make personal souvenirs just for you and, of course, it takes time to get your bearings and figure out what sequence and where to go, so the main thing is not to forget to look at your watch. You definitely won’t be bored, and when you get hungry, you can stop by one of the several restaurants presented here, Italian, of course. The food, of course, differs from what is directly presented in Italy itself, but the general flavor is maintained. If you are faced with the choice of whether to go to Ferrari World, don’t even hesitate: you need to visit this park, and most importantly - fully, without haste.
