You can only pay for tickets and everything else in the Czech Republic in Czech crowns (CZK). As of the beginning of 2019, 100 CZK is equal to 4 euros.

How to get to the city and back?

The methods for getting from the airport to the center of Prague work with the same success for the opposite direction, that is, for traveling from Prague to the airport. This:

• city ​​municipal transport;
• special buses Airport Express (AE);
• commercial minibuses;
• Taxi.

Each direction has its own nuances.

Public transport

There is no direct metro or train from Ruzyne to the Prague center, but they are freely replaced by city bus routes. There are three day and one night buses.

Daytime flights are numbered:

• 119 – travels from the 1st and 2nd terminals to the metro along line A, stop Nádraží Veleslavín (terminal), takes about 15 minutes;
• 100 – travels from the same points to metro line B, stop Zličín, arrives in 20 minutes;
• 191 – departs from the same terminals, stops on metro lines A, stop Petřiny, and B, stop Anděl, travel time is about 40 minutes.

From these metro stops it is easy to get directly to the city center or to the desired address in another half hour.

Tickets can be purchased from the driver, through vending machines at bus stops, or at MHD city transport counters. The cost of one ticket for an adult is 32 CZK (for the driver - 40 CZK), for a child - half that, children under 6 years old travel for free. You must pay separately for luggage - half the price of an adult ticket (16 CZK). The ticket is valid for 90 minutes; the number of transfers for this period within one route is unlimited. When boarding, the ticket must be punched with a special puncher at the entrance.

This method is convenient to use when you need to travel to the metro or city inexpensively, and travel time is not very important. Buses run back and forth from 7 am to midnight, so you can either get to Prague from the airport or go to the airport from the city.

Features of traveling at night

If you need to get to Prague airport, or vice versa, at night, then daytime flights are not suitable, but route No. 510 is suitable. Its operating schedule is from midnight to 5 am, departing from terminal T1. The route is to the Prague stop Na Beránku and back, travel time is about an hour. The conditions for purchasing tickets are the same as for daytime buses.

Specialized Airport Express flights

A good alternative to public transport is the Airport Express service, whose buses are marked with the letters AE on the front sign and depart from the same terminals (1,2). Flights depart every half hour from half past five in the morning to half past ten in the evening, taking passengers directly to the city center to the main railway station of Prague in 30-40 minutes.

Express bus AE

Airport Express runs every 30 minutes. The flight opens at 5:30, and the last bus leaves at 21:00 from the airport and at 22:00 from the railway station. This flight is listed separately, since single bus tickets are valid in Prague, but they do not apply to express trains. If you want to travel by express train, you will have to buy a separate ticket from the driver for 50 CZK. Purchasing tickets for public transport

It is customary to buy a bus ticket in advance. However, if the sales points are closed or you simply did not have time to do this, then you can pay directly with the driver. But in this case, prepare small money, since drivers usually do not accept large bills. In addition, the ticket will cost more due to the surcharge. You can purchase a single ticket for buses (except express) at the ticket offices located in the halls of Terminals 1 and 2. Opening hours: 07:00-22:00. There are also electronic terminals at each stop.

As soon as you enter the vehicle or find yourself at the station, validate your ticket. In trams and buses there are special machines for this on the railings, and at stations similar devices are located near the entrance.

Bus ticket valid for 90 minutes:

• adult: 32 CZK (driver - 40 CZK);

If you plan to spend at least a few days in Prague, it is more profitable to buy longer-term tickets without a limited number of trips.

Night bus #510. Open between midnight and 4am. Will take you to Divoka Sarka Park, where you can take a night tram or another night bus. From here you can take a taxi to the hotel at a reasonable price.

Bus #179. It takes passengers to the Nove Butovice metro station on line B (yellow), travel time is 35 minutes. The route is inconvenient because the bus passes through many stops and therefore stretches out over time.

Bus #191. Another route, but also too long (about 50 minutes), its final station is “Na Knizeci” on line “B” | (yellow). But its route runs through the center of Prague to the Smichov district.

Airport Express bus routes

Buses run daily not only to the center of Prague, where Hlavni nadrazi is located, but also take passengers to the neighboring metro stations Masarykovo nadrazi and Namesti Republiky. Having reached the final stop, you will find yourself very close to the Mustek station and from. There are trams nearby: 3, 5, 9, 14, 24, 26. The journey to the central part of Prague by Airport Express bus will take no more than half an hour. The first flight departs at 5:30, the last carries passengers along the route at 22:30. Shuttle Bus from Cedaz

These buses are the most expensive. The fare costs 150 CZK, children under 6 years old travel free of charge, luggage is not paid. The ticket can be purchased either from the driver or at special Shuttle Bus kiosks. Opening hours: from 7:30 to 19:00. The stops are located: near terminal 1 at exit F and terminal 2 at exit E.

This route is convenient because it quickly takes passengers to the center of Prague by express train. The final stop is Namesti Republiky metro station.

Order a taxi to the center of Prague

Nowadays, a huge number of websites on the Internet offer to order a transfer from any airport in the world. Prices for this service in the case of Prague are approximately the same as for a taxi ride - 400-500 CZK.

You won't save much in terms of cost, but it has its advantages. You can discuss in advance the presence of a child seat in the car, you can order a business class car and even ask a Russian-speaking driver to come. For a fee, the driver will meet you at the exit in the arrivals area and help you carry your luggage. To put it simply: “Any whim for your money.”

In the evening, you can get to the city center by night transport - first from the airport to the Na Beranku stop on bus route 510.

Buses line AE “Airport Express” go along the route Ruzyne Airport - Main Railway Station, to the Hlavní nádraží metro station on the red line S. And in the opposite direction. From Prague Airport to the city center on V Celnici Street (next to the Náměstí Republiky metro station) there is also a shuttle bus operated by the transport company Cedaz. Traveling by this bus is more expensive than public transport, but it is more convenient - without transfers and to the very center.

Buses depart every half hour every day from 7-30 to 19-00. Shuttle stops near Terminal 1 (Gate F) and Terminal 2 (Gate E). Fare 150 CZK. For children under 6 years old – free. The price includes luggage. You can purchase travel tickets from the driver or in the halls of Terminals 1 and 2 at these information kiosks.

How to get from Prague airport to the city center at night.

Night bus No. 910 from Ruzyne airport to the center of Prague runs every half hour from 00-15 to 5-00. Paid at the regular public transport rate. It takes 45 minutes to get to the tram stop I. P. Pavlova in Prague 2. Travel time to the final stop Na Beránku is 75 minutes.
